The title of the game is what incentivized me to click on it. It sounds fun! Unfortunately, this game did make me feel motion sick and I was unable to finish it. I think that having the demons push me off the edge was what was making me feel disoriented. I wish I could have finished it. Nice art though!
Yes, the camera movement may be a bit bad, especially while playing in a browser. Also the high contrasts between complete black and red are bad when the view moves so much. I had nausea after playing too much myself. At the moment I'm developing a birds-eye-version for mobile, with more lighting.
Fun game! I'm terrible at it without being able to jump, but I enjoyed it!
i liked the simplicity, art, fine control on sensitivity that you provided. you can find better music for the background that suits the theme. you can add a progression mechanism, so that player would want to continue and get better.
Nice little game, especially as a one person team it’s a great entry! Background music is rather relaxing for me for a hell-themed game, would be cool to have a radio option. The survival element is strong, got panicky haha
I really liked the aesthetics of the game! I thought it looked very cool vibe is on point. I think the game is also procedurally generated as well? I died the first few times and I think it was a different level each time. If so very cool :D
Thanks! Yes the maze is random every time it is created - at the start and when using the "gems" of the stone pillars.
Nice game! Very hellish!
Cool game!
Nice submission! It's a simple premise done very well. I would suggest disabling jumping by default, though, as it makes the game a lot easier to bypass. Alternatively, limiting the number of jumps could be a great way to keep the challenge intact. Well done!
Yes, the jumping probably should be disabled at start. I just wanted to make it easy for those who just check a game without reading too much.. although it really takes away the challenge.
The aesthetics / mood / atmosphere (combination of graphics and sound) is great, very fitting for Hell. Controls were responsive, no random skidding over the edge after you thought you stopped or anything like that. And demons definitely be very annoying. The game keeps what it promises. And the concept is interesting, although the connection to the theme evades me. A very solid game for a 10 day jam, especially considering it was just one dev and no ready-made assets.
It just wasn't my cup of tea, after half a dozen times getting pushed off, with twice making it to the second maze, I was simply bored. Different strokes for different folks.
I originally planned to do a maze with some broken platforms which would need ladders/bridge to get across. Idea was to place bridges for a route for stupid lemmings who spawn and push each other (and player) to death, while just walking towards goal. During playtesting I got an idea, that the maze could be recreated during game. Stupid lemmings were replaced with demon-enemies. Maybe the connection could be that the labyrinth always connects if recreated during game.. but it's not that important.
The keeps what it promises. There were indeed demons, they were indeed annoying and they did push me. I yelled more than I'd like to admit at my screen. Super fun to play for sure!
I agree, the demons are annoying. LOL Actually a decent game for a game jam.
Thank you for the game!
Those pesky flying demons are really annoying. Good game by the way, the longest maze is challenging and fun.
Really enjoyable game with a simple, captivating concept! A real-time distance counter would be an awesome but not a huge deal for the jam. The art and music fit perfectly. Great job!
Tried to play but demons kept pushing me, didnt see that coming :) playing without jump is challenging I recommend that. gg thank you
A good one, really like the art style
Really easy once I figured out what to do. There should be more demons around to push you. Otherwise really fun!
You must have been jumping or playing in small mazes! :o
Yeah, I jumped across all the mazes, lol. Didn't even walk, just jumped from pathway to pathway 😂.
cool idea at the start i didn't realise we were suposed to do it without jump Rate Wi-Fi clicker by veryseriousSALMON for GameDev.tv Game Jam 2026 - Free Course For All Submissions! - itch.io
The player controls was pretty nice. The objective of the game was quite simple but easy to understand. Nice work.
