Fun little puzzle game. The concept has evolved nicely from the general pipe-join genre. Great job!

I can see myself wasting an hour on this! This seems like a completed game to me with a good concept and the potential for utter chaos (in a good way). Well done! O yeah I also like the game description and novel way you plugged your daughters game. Go dad!

I liked the gameplay loop and it was fun to find new ways to reroute the packages :)

It would've been great to use RMB to Spin the belt into the other direction because I lost a few packages through having to spin the belt three times in the wrong direction :/

I'm not sure if you AI generated the texts, but it was a bit hard to decipher right away what each upgrade did and it pulled me out of the game because I had to stop, read the text, figure out what the upgrade does and decide how to use it...
It would also be cool to be able to cancel the upgrade if you haven't placed it yet :)

Besides that: Nice game! I'm sad you used AI (because I'm personally against using it), but I can't deny that this game was a lot of fun! So good job!

Developer (1 edit)

Thanks for the feedback!  I've been making some updates this weekend and this is really helpful :)

  1. RMB for CCW is brilliant.  I primarily use a touchpad so I didn't even think about that.  Done.
  2. Choice text - I used AI to generate the descriptions because they're supposed to be from the voice of a "deranged AI".  I didn't want just vanilla AI text, so I hand-wrote a whole backstory and used that to define the persona the AI tool used.  This helped with consistency, too.
  3. I've been reworking how the choices work, and have added a brief hand-written summary to the choice cards.  This makes it easier to get the idea without having to read the in-voice descriptions.  Spoiler screenshot below!
  4. Canceling the upgrade is an interesting idea, but I'm not sure how that would work.  Would canceling just let you go back and pick a different option?

Again, really appreciate the critical notes!

The idea of cancelling the upgrades came to mind because some upgrades can be placed on existing belts and some have to place a new tile.

My problem was that I couldn‘t really see my playing field when deciding for the upgrades so I sometimes regretted my choice because of my field constellation :/

Maybe you could add a way for the field to be visible during the upgrading process by making the UI invisible or something?

Or like my initial suggestion make the upgrade cancellable after selecting and realizing that there isn‘t a good spot for the upgrade :)

I didn't understand the goal of the game but I had fun while playing it. I managed to make different pathways for the cubes to go into the portals as well as went around changing paths constantly to avoid collision as well as pick up objects. An addition of warning before the next block pops up would be nice so that you can plan your path ahead and don't have to do everything on the fly. Great job on the entry. A little bit more polish and I can easily see this as a great game!

This was a really fun and addictive game! I loved the personality of the project right from the page description. The humor, presentation, and all the little details give it a lot of character.

The gameplay loop is excellent. There's always something demanding your attention, and I found myself constantly trying to optimize routes, react to new problems, and survive just a little longer. The upgrades and random events keep every run feeling fresh and unpredictable.

I also really liked the risk/reward aspect of some upgrades. Having positive and negative modifiers mixed together creates interesting decisions and prevents the gameplay from becoming repetitive.

The overall polish is impressive too. The UI feels responsive, the visual effects are satisfying, and the whole experience has a strong identity from start to finish.

Overall, a very creative and well-executed submission. I had a great time playing it. Great job!

Great work, really enjoyed the mechanic - would probably go with slower ramp up on the pace, but lots of funny dialog and chaos. Well done!

Really fun game! I love the idea of giving bonus points for matching the correct color. It makes gameplay more interesting and gets really chaotic when other colored portals start popping up.

The power-ups and debuffs are also a great idea. They make the game more fun and force you to think a lot more while playing.

Sound and music fit really nicely too, they make the game feel much more alive.

Overall very good game. Nicely done!
