Very fun! I like how it ends, and it looks great!

Played live on stream- hope the feedback helped!

Main issue is optimization, the game crawls beyond 5minutes on my end. I do really like the trails!

The simplicity in the art was nice, and I found the sfx to match the actions quite well. I could see the appeal in the gameplay, but I think it can take a bit long to find electrodes which makes the game a bit stale after a while. I would love if you could find them more often in exchange of there being more/faster particles that you have to watch out for. Good job on submitting!

Fun game overall - I really liked the visuals, the minimalism executed really well and the game felt smooth. I had a bunch of close calls that felt really satisfying to narrowly avoid.  A couple easy tweaks that I think are worth keeping in mind for the next one:

- Consider lowering the alpha a bit on the particle trails (or other visual effect to make them distinct); basically just some visual juice to add clarity, my eyes got used to it but at first it was hard to distinguish subconsciously between "this is a particle that will hurt me" and "this is a trail that i can move through".

- Make difficulty ramp faster/more, fewer max lives, more objectives to get. Maybe even dont make them respawn. I didn't get hit until 5 minutes and then realized "oh wow I still have another 7 lives." I get that difficulty scaling isn't always priority in a jam but figured I'd note my experience.

- I know you said it runs better in download than browser so I'm sure that's part of it but lag in audio started around 2-3mins, 5minutes there was clear visual stutter. I'm guessing either particles weren't clearing or else they weren't being offloaded when well off the screen. Similar to the second bullet: I fully appreciate that optimization isn't the top priority in gamejams but figured I'd note it just incase. I think better optimization would allow the heat to get turned up a lot higher which would add more of those cool "how did i manage to escape that" moments.

I think the game lacks more pressure on the player. I played for 10 minutes and only found like 7-9 score pieces before I got bored of searching, maybe that if you don’t get a score piece between a certain time range, you start to lose a life and more spawn of those would be nice

Also a little arrow pointing where those pieces are would be nice, maybe because those pieces were a little off camera I didn’t see them. The difficult is nice or around minute 9 was getting fun to avoid the red atoms, though, I didn’t like the ones where exactly under my blue trail I left because I can’t see them, so would be nice that the enemies are a visual layer above the player so the trail doesn’t block the visibility of the enemy

The game over screen is funny and the song can be a little quiet, I like the visuals for how simple they are and I think it’s the feedback I can say :)

Enjoyed playing this game! Quite a simple chill out type of game which I do enjoy, the visuals are very pretty because of the minimalism!

I do have a couple suggestions to improve on this idea:
I believe there could room for improvement by adding different movement patterns for the comets to dodge, but also recommend making the comet hitboxes more visible. I also believe have a better indicator of your movement could be useful, something like adding a more varied background would help with that!

Overall good game!

Simple but good visuals.

Music can feel a bit repetitive after a while. Sound effects is a bit sparse.

Game lags quite a bit on web build around 3 minutes in. Not sure if it's some memory leak or not freeing the "comets" even when they are off screen?

Like others have said, then triangles being coupled to health and points and being rare make the game not as fun because you don't see score goes up.

Itch page could use some more polish. I also thought the theme interpretation is a little weak, it's basically only a "cosmetics" thing to provide justification for the ending lol. But it was funny XD

The game looks really great, it's super clean and minimalistic, yet it looks really stunning when there are more things going on the screen. Gameplay is simple and easy to understand, yet it felt a bit too easy at times. The game also didn't increase in difficulty the longer you played, nor did it introduce new mechanics to make the game feel fresh. For my first playthrough, I easily netted 1530 while surviving for more than 7 minutes, and I think this harms the overall experience from an otherwise nicely made game. The ending is fun though.

Other things I like:

  • Easy to understand life mechanics, though 8? lifes with refilling is a bit too much
  • Trail effect looks super cool

Suggestions:

  • Triangle is a bit too rare, which I think makes the player feel really aimless. Consider decoupling it from health, but increase its rarity instead
  • The game lags a lot after the halfway mark of my playthrough

i love the game lol, specially that death screen only thing that i think that could be improved is that its really uncommon to find the triangles, it feels like shooting in the dark

Simple but fun bullet hell !

If I could improve 2 things, it would be :
- trail readability : the red particles trails looks like we would get hit by the trail too. That's fixed after a few minutes of playing, but that's confusing at the beginning.
- difficulty settings : sorry if I'm a tryharder at bullet hell, but it took me like 15 minutes to lose for my first game. I know you probably ran out of time, but a button for Normal / Hard mode would have been a good add.

Also, have you used some bullet hell optimisation methods. I know the Web build destroys the performances, but there are many things you can do if not yet : circle-circle fast collisions, not making a new object/instance/node for each bullet but store them in an array (because creating and destroying is cost-heavy).

But, what a lose screen :)

Unfortunately I can't rate, but good work !

PS : I can rate now ! Thank you Quinten.

The biggest challenge in this game would be, to find the collectable items. There should be some kind of hint to guide the player to the collectable. Avoiding the red circles weren't really a challenge for me.

On the technical side, the gameplay on HTML version showed signs of incremental stutter over time, and the EXE version is missing the PCK file.

However, this was a good simple collect and avoid game. Tail effects were nice, and the ending was funny.
