This was a lovely game! It's a great take on the limitation and the fish animations are delightful! I enjoyed the logic puzzles and swimming around felt great, well done!

Fun little game. Like most people I also enjoy the fish animations a lot.

The shrimp sound effects are cute too. Could maybe use a swimming sounds for a bit more juice as well? Not sure if it would be too tiring. The music is really chill.

The limitation interpretation is great, but maybe the theme interpretation is a little bit weaker? I guess there’s the sea and ocean like a lot of other games but it’s not super related to summer haha.

Pretty fun game anyway though. Good job!

Best character controller in the jam, well done! I wasn't even mad I kept failing the challenges. I could play a whole 40 hour game as that fish <3

Yes I expected logic puzzles for limitation hehe

This one is pretty fun and easy, and I only wish there are more levels!

ohhh this was amazing! you sidestepped the “running all the way back over and over again” problem by making wiggling the fish around the most fun thing in the whole world, which is a brilliant and subversive design choice that i feel is a stronger adherence to the theme than the actual puzzles (which are very good! but i couldn’t stop wiggling the fish!)

The underwater visuals were so nice and cozy! I don't think fish were made to think this hard and I suddenly have a craving for shrimp...!

This was so much fun to play! The underwater vibes are immaculate and the fish movement is so good.

I think this is my favorite game so far! The 2D art was so cute I was not expecting such a beautiful 3D as well! The physics of the fish in water are just incredible! And the puzzles are nice, I really like this type of game! Really nice work :)

Clever title for a clever game. The fish animation is solid. Enjoyed swimming around and talking to all those deceiving shrimps!

Super charming art! I really enjoyed the puzzle sort of aspect and one of the games that fully and completely committed to the limitation.

This was so much fun and wow the art is amazing!!  Swooshing with the fish was astounding when I made my first input I felt the quality.  Super well done

Very cute and clever gameplay! I could see this being a part of a full fledged riddle-type game ^_^

i loved the way you implemented the limitation! i had a lot of fun figuring out the logic puzzles :)) super cute game, one of my favorites from this jam!

Developer

Thank you :D

For me, the nicest part was the fish rigging and movement. The puzzle were fine, but the lack of checkpoint got me frustrated towards the end. Very good entry, good work!

Developer

Yeah very fair I def think checkpoints would've been good based on peoples' feedback lol. Thank you :)

Loved this game! I was impressed with the level of quality and polish the game had. I do wish it was little longer but I still had fun :]

Developer

Ty, glad you had fun :)

This game I absolutely adore, one of my favourite so far in this game jam! Genuinely enjoyed it, the limitation was implemented well and was interested, although sometimes confusing to actually figure out who is lying. It's so polished and responsive, the art style is super concise.

Good job!

Developer

Ty! Glad you enjoyed it

The art and level of polish was impressive for the jam, but the gameplay was pretty bare bones, it did feel like it boiled down to guessing at some points as some shrimp weren't actually lying but it wasn't always clear which shrimp weren't liars. It's not super interesting to swim back to where you were after you die as well.

Developer(+2)

Thanks for the feedback. Maybe a checkpoint system was needed. And yeah, the logic puzzles definitely could've done with some streamlining, we didn't want it to just feel like guesswork lol but I can see how it can. Some good points to think about. Glad you liked the art too, ty for playing! :)

Really cool game, nice visuals, animations and audio, wish it was a bit longer! Only thing is i couldn’t rotate the camera?

Developer

Happy to hear you like what you've been able to play of the game, but I'm sorry to hear that. What system were you playing on for this to occur?

Submitted(+2)

I’ve been playing in the browser (DuckDuckGo which is based on Safari), tried rotating with mouse, with right stick on gamepad, with a and e keys, nothing made the camera rotate for me which made it a bit tricky but i did make it to the end and got my sandwich :)

Developer (1 edit) (+1)

You should be able to rotate the camera with the mouse, I reckon it's a browser compatibility issue since I was only testing firefox and chrome. I'll see if it's possible to fix after the jam. (I'll put a note on the page about recommended browsers too) Thanks for letting us know, and thanks for persisting anyway, ggs :)
