Great job!
Fun simple game. Very easy to understand. I really loved the visuals and atmosphere of the game! I personally think it can be easily expanded into a proper indie game with some extra content additions. Great job!
cool concept.
And gameplay is sensible too. Great job
Super cool atmosphere, great graphics, execution and title screen transition. Great job!
Thanks for playing!
liked sfx a lot, i wish there were more gameplay elemets to the wheel
Thanks! Modifiers In the works. Just ran out of time.
Simple idea that can be expanded in a very interesting way if you add some roguelike elements.
Thanks! I plan to. Love the way you handled yours :D
You mastered the creepy theme through the combination of these spooky assets and psycho laughs paired with the happy song xD i also really liked the title screen -> spin wheel transition!
Thanks, and thanks for trying it out!
I've since added transitions to Live/Die with some fun animation. Will add some stuff to spend your monies on as well. I'll upload at end of jam.
I may have taken a knife to the eye, but they have no more knives and I have 600 monies. Never stop spinning.
Wonderful character model and aesthetics. Really liked that title screen transition.
Thank you, and thanks for taking the time to play it!
This is such a simple idea, but the execution is really good.
At first, I thought it would be cooler if I could actually aim and throw the knives myself. But after playing a bit, I kind of changed my mind. If I’m the one throwing, it starts feeling like I’m playing with someone else’s life. Only being able to control the spin button somehow makes it feel way more personal, like I’m the one taking the risk.
Not having control over the knives is honestly what makes it feel like real gambling.
My thoughts exactly as I built it. I started to do the throw, but it seemed too ghoulish. Hence confetti instead of blood as well. I had ideas about using the money to trade up for knives/lives and nicer win/lose animations but of course ran out of time. Thank you for trying it and thanks for the review!
Truly gambling. Unfortunately I seem to be unlucky. Nothing 5,000 rounds won't fix.
Nothing a little rebalancing (of which there was none) wouldn't help. Thanks for trying it out!
Never, have I ever in my entire life seen a better game dedicated to the statistics of gambling and the concept of life and death therein, WHILE THE MAIN CHARACTER LAUGHS ABOUT IT.
Although tbf, I guess a person in that situation can do not much else but laugh about it.
5/5, goty
