Beautiful art, cute concept, and a really cozy track in the bg!
This is so cute! I raised a couple rats as a kid so this hit close to home :) I think the only issue I had was that I felt a little too busy a lot of the time, like there was never any moment (except for maybe during the first few minutes) where I felt like I had to just sit there and reap the rewards of building up my rat empire. I always had the money to keep pushing forward, so I always felt as if I needed to be doing so, or else my goopy goblin gamer brain would yell at me for wasting time hahaha. Maybe making the rat shop's costs steadily increase over time, or even adding some sort of cost for rerolling at the shop could help as a money sink too (I found pretty quickly that I was just constantly rerolling until a blue rat came up, then I would buy it and immediately continue rerolling). Other than that, I loved this. The detail with the building slowly upgrading over time was a great touch, and a really good reminder of the progress you've made, the music and sound design were adorable and the art was fantastic. Great job!
Very addicting and cute! I loved having my whole screen filled with rats at the end.
Very sweet, I like how much easier it becomes to get more rats running over time, I'm used to milestones taking longer and longer usually. I got the gear.
Such a cute and cozy incremental game. Love the concept of rats running to produce electricity. There is a lot of scope for this game. And the music totally goes with the cute and cozy vibe. The Shop and customization features really added a lot of content to game.
The navigation felt a bit sticky, though.
Overall, it was a very entertaining experience.
This game was very cute, the little animations and over all aesthetic made this a favorite of mine. For how simple it was I ended up playing way longer than expected and even continued to play past the win screen. I did encounter a couple of bugs, like taking a rat out and putting back in the wheel seemed to replenish its energy. Over all it was a very nice experience!
This was super cute! A little laggy for me but overall a cute game where the focus is on the vibes rather than the gameplay. I thought it was weird that you couldn't move around with just the scroll wheel, and found myself having trouble navigating because I was used to that in other places, but I loved the shop and the outfits were a pretty nice touch. Really well done omg!
The art is so cute! I earned enough money by letting the rats run at their own pace. I don't think I understand the spin meter correctly or maybe some of the sound effects play at the wrong time. Other than that, the game was cozy. Also, I found you!
ayo this is def a hidden gem XD i enjoyed this game alot and managed to beat it too, great visuals and art and the gameplay loop is pretty cool too, now i realised that i can just let the rats rest in their wheels without me moving them back and forth, and also i realised that i can just keep rerolling for free and just keep buying the purple tier rats, which with me being in late game, made the game a lil too easy, and lastly i smh managed to win by just buying the last couple wheels, where i should've put the rats to power them first, but still i must say that this game has a lot of potential of you continue working on it and adding more stuff! and yeah good job on submitting :)
Nice, I couldn't reach the end sadly, at some point my camera was locked and I couldn't pick my new rats.
It's a fun idle/management concept, I wish there was more to it. Good job, especially on the visuals!
oh no!! That's such an unfortunate bug. I'll have to take a look at some point to see what could've caused it. I'm glad you liked the concept regardless, and thank you! I think there are a lot of areas where I could add more to this game and I would love to keep working on it in the future. Thanks for playing!
Cute little idler. Didn't realize you could buy additional wheels until I looked at the images and also needed a bit to figure out you could reroll the rat shop, maybe some clearer communication would be nice. Managing the rats kinda became a chore after a bit. Spritework is very cute!
I'm sorry to hear that it was confusing, and I think that's a good idea - I originally had adding a tutorial on my list of stretch goals for the jam, and while I unfortunately didn't get to it, I think it definitely would've helped. Definitely understand management being a bit annoying as well; I tried to make the rats a bit more self sufficient later in the game to alleviate that, but maybe in the future I could find a way to work it into a more visible player-controlled mechanic. I'm glad you liked the sprites, and thank you for playing!
Very cute little game! It was very chill and everything fit well!
Adorable incremental game, the rat animations were so cute and I loved how the tails stretched as you moved them around. Gameplay-wise, it's a bit of a shame you could only buy new rats and wheels (as the cosmetics didn't do anything) - that could've been a fun thing to add, like maybe they could add some speed/energy or give them skills they could use. Still, I had a fun time and the whole package worked well, great job!
Metagame cog 83/126
Thank you!! I spent way too long on the little tails, so I'm glad you liked them. I think that's a cool idea, and would definitely help justify the cost of the cosmetics.
I respect the dedication to the metagame o7 Thank you for playing! :)
This game is awesome!!!
Oh wow, this game is super cute! I really enjoyed playing it, it's very creative. :) The only critique from my side is that sometimes the camera movement was a bit clunky for me, but to be fair, I was playing with touchpad and not a real mouse. I would have loved playing more levels! Also loved having Juniper as one of my cute little rats. ❤️
Congrats on the game, it is awesome!
Thank you so much!! I admittedly did not consider trackpad users and I definitely should have haha. If I come back to this game in the future like I hope to, I'll hopefully be able to figure out a good way to make the camera feel a lot better to move around. Adding more stages is a great idea, and something I would love to do in the future. Maybe you eventually power an entire galaxy...? Who knows lol. Glad you enjoyed that little easter egg, and thanks so much for playing!
sadly I cant rate this but this is amazing
Nice classic "numbers go up" idle game, was a relaxing side window game for me, loved the rat customisations provided, wish the camera can be moved better with the mouse only, also felt like rerolling the rats selection should have some penalty, because i could just keep rolling until i get the high speed ones, but the rats were very cute, so generally a nice experience for an idle game, great work ♥
Thank you!! I got that feedback about the camera movement a few times, if I come back to this game in the future I absolutely plan on reworking it at least a bit, like adding middle click and drag to move the camera or something like that. I also totally agree that rerolling should have a penalty, I didn't have time to work out the balancing for that during the jam but I think that would definitely help make the rats in the shop feel a bit more meaningful. Thank you for playing!
Hi! I played your game and I can see the potential of it having more upgrades like faster resting, easier timing when clicking on a wheel, but overall really enjoyed it, I would 100% play this on my phone because so far it's really addicting!
Thanks for playing! I think those are cool ideas, definitely things to consider for future updates. I've heard that it would be a good mobile game from a few people now, and I would love to update it to be compatible with touchscreens in the future, maybe after the jam. Thanks again for playing!
Hello! I played your game to the 'You Win' screen and I have some feedback:
Overall, this was really cute! I enjoyed my time with it. Also, I found her. :)
Have a great day and good luck in the Jam!
Wow, thank you so much for the detailed feedback!!
I'm happy to hear you enjoyed my silly little rat game!!
Thank you, and thank you so much for playing!
ok I didn't realize I typed that much lol. TLDR; rats are indeed randomized, you can move the camera with WASD, and I agree with a lot of your suggestions so they will be things I plan to tackle if/when I start working on this game again after the jam. Thank you again :)
Very fun and cute!! the concept is cool and honestly its just qutie addicting. I would 100% play this in my freetime if it were like an idle phone app or something where i can casually have my rat army on my person at all times.
That's so nice of you to say!! Thank you. The original concept for this game definitely leaned more into idle game territory, and I sped up progression for the jam, but I think adapting it to work on mobile would be a really fun thing to work on in the future, I'll have to remember that. Thanks for playing!
