Omg, if the pace would've been quicker and enemies more relentless, it would've been very close to risk of rain! Which is a huge compliment, that game is amazing. Would love to see more chaos, faster gameplay, more weapons and exciting enemy types. Great job, you really have something here on your hands and I hope you will keep working on it!!

I ran out of time near the end of the jam and wasn't able to add complicated items, but that was the plan.  I don't think I will continue working on this project in this form because I made a lot of what I would consider bad compromises on code quality in order to finish in time.  I am planning to make a Risk of Rain like in the future though.  Thank you for the kind words.

Crazy that all of this was made in a week I love the environments!

Did i just download risk of rain 3? Ran around for a while without finding someone but eventually i found things to kill! Keep making games!

The game looks absolutely beautiful and incredibly polished, especially considering how little time you had to make it. The animations, the art, and the character model are all amazing. It was really fun to play. Congratulations!

Absolutely loved the character design! Controls felt good too, liked that I could buy stuff from chests on the run. Also liked having the multiple levels. Hard to believe you did all this in a week!

Lovely 3d shmup. absolutely wrecked my poor laptop

Developer

Your poor laptop.  I'll probably push a vulkan version of the game after the jam just to increase the performance on desktop.

The controls feel solid and the 3D visuals are gorgeous. Achieving this level of polish in such a short time is seriously impressive. Nice work!

This game is super polished for only 7 days of work! I absolutely love the art, animations, and overall vision for the game. I do wish I could've moved faster, but I still had a ton of fun with this one. Great job!

love the gurren lagann theming and the gunman's model is great! I do think movement is a bit slow, plus you have some cool melee abilities that are hard to use when most of the enemies are flying

Its a really cool looking game and I really enjoyed it. Cool visual cool game 10/10.

Web ver didn't load for me. Very well polished game, apart from what everyone else has said regarding the sluggish movements and the lack of ranged options, I do feel like differentiating enemies could help as they all like same even though some seem to shoot pellets whilst others just try to approach you, also maybe some music for ambience could help, in any case very good game! and love the gurren lagann and ror2 references! haha

Stunning visuals and well polished, love the little guy driving the mecha. Gameplay wise, I think it could have been better to have more variety in bullets rather than melee attacks. Movement felt slow even with dash and sprint. Overall, it reminded me of the game loop of Risk of Rain 2 which is incredibly impressive for a game jam. Also as a little detail, it was nice to include a web, windows and linux version to include as many players as possible

cool game! the visuals are AMAZING, i love the models and the levels and everything looks really neat. i think the game though did lack a lot of variety, attacking the enemies was pretty much just me spamming the gun and then using my heat when i could. everything also felt very slow both the movement and enemies. there were probably upgrades to movement but i didn't get any in the time i played. beyond that the items just seemed to be stat focused which isn't bad, but combined with the lack of much enemy variety and the maps being functionally the same (with different visuals which were nice) made the game kind of drag on. i think focusing more on a short, polished experience, maybe with a couple more enemies but only like even one map could have elevated the experience. the good/bad wheel also just seemed kind of forced in and didn't add anything to the game loop. the music and sfx were really nice though, and with the slow gameplay made it weirdly relaxing if that was the intent idk. i liked the use of drills for the theme also. overall good job, obviously very impressive for a game jam!

Well done on the game! I love the art and visual style. I would love some fast ways to move around as it felt a bit sluggish. But i definitely enojyed shooting enemies and trying to stay alive.

I really liked it! Which makes sense, since I really like Risk of Rain. I would say that a very consistent issue is that your camera seems to be flung, caught and pushed around by objects, so it's better to play near open areas.

I would say maybe starting with a bit more movement speed wouldn't hurt. Maybe the enemies could also have a bit more movement speed at the beginning.

Web version worked fine for me, beyond some issues with cursor focus in the browser.

Art looks nice, though I feel the UI could use some touching up. With all the color on the title screen, the relatively monochrome levels feel lacking to me.

The pacing seems very slow, especially for such large level designs.

This one's visual style was so good, it really felt awesome. The game world and characters are great, and the main character's design was really funky and unique. I liked the visual appeal this game had - the soundscapes really tied it all together.

My main critiques are game mechanics - the main character felt sorta slow to run around as, and I almost wish there were faster movement options. I feel this game has enough charm to carry it along - with a bit of fleshing out it really could shine.

The link to the theme is kinda weak other than the drill, and the random "good/bad" mechanic. The gameplay is simple, and I feel like it could be fleshed out somewhat to bring it up to the same standard the visuals are shining at.

I kept the base movement speed really low just in case the player managed to get a bunch of movement speed item.

someone likes risk of rain 2 lol. good job! i like the models and overall visual style of the game but i don't really see the theme coming through other than the drill. other than that this game is fun!

Submitted(+1)

I love the main character but fail to see the theme used much!

I like the art style and the character. I want to see more variety in weapons. Great landscaping
