holy content (great job) I spent a long time on this. I also liked making the peasants/gnomes work under harsh conditions 10/10
at first i was like huh, ok. a bit simple but very cute art. then i kept going, and there is LAYERS to this!! very intricate and a lot of content for a jam game. could totally expand this if the pacing is tweaked a little. great job with the design and structure of the skill tree, really kept me excited for future rewards and curious about what was up ahead!
This is a jam winner, how did you even manage to finish this on time???? This is HOURS of content, I even feel bad playing for free lmfao! Sell this later!
not the inquisition lmao - satisfying little game, i admit i didnt reach the end (i gave up while crafting the ent) because its a little slow in some regards: as you level up the wheel, making money becomes easier but getting crafting materials actually becomes harder? because your chance of landing on what you need decreases. Maybe I just dont get the optimal strat. That being said I had fun while playing and the art and sound design are very polished. Solid job :)
For all the basic resources we have upgrades that auto generate them, but it is not your fault for not finding it. We will do better next time! Thanks for the feedback, hope you still liked our game
Yup, game is fun, will certainly finish it later :))
I did not expect so much content! It's kind of slow at first, but after a while of rolling and rolling it picks up a little. the idea is super fun! In fact the only thing I want more of is to speed up the game a bit during the early game.
We were worries that If we make early game too fast players will not have time to learn and interact with other parts of the game, but making it a nit faster paced wouldn't hurt
Thank you for playing our game!
Wow it's a real complete video game !! The sound design, the music, the little story, the joke (the moment when we buy the mine). it was really cool moment !
I've 10 minutes without seeing time passed (i have a chrono of 10 minutes max when i try a game)
I'm sure to come back playing your game after the gamejam ! I loved it
I liked the upgrade system and the amount of things to look at and look forward to unlocking! Issue when I added the stick to the wheel and I could not spin it anymore though
Cute game! The art and sound design are really good. The gameplay is also really nice. It's a little slow at first but I think that adds to the charm.
this is a great game, i especially liked your art, id really wish there was a way to automate the wheel but its good regardless
There is, it is unlocked with Ent or golem, depends on the location
the concept and execution is great and it's amazing how much stuff you've made in 7 days! the only thing i disliked is that the pacing feels a bit too slow (everything just kinda takes too long, from spinning the wheel to getting the upgrades).
So much content.. I really want to continue but I would never get to the other jam games haha, reallyyy impressive stuff, the upgrades feel impactful and I really need to get out of debt, not sure what happened to that one guy who blew up tho lmao.
Thank you!
The game has autosaves, so don't worry you can come back whenever you want hehe
He died
This is very well done. The story/dialogue is amusing, and there’s so much content it actually takes a while to get through to the end. The crafting and recipes are very involved and progression is quite satisfying as things become more and more automatic. It really is just a complete, well made game. Very well done!
I was blown away at how far the progression goes for such a short time frame for this to be made! Everything feels really polished. I may have played too much Old School Runescape, but I personally got tired of clicking the wheel to get resources, unless there was an auto spinner upgrade that I totally missed. But I can see how the "number go up" itch gets scratched playing this game! Visuals and music were great too. Great work!
Nice incremental game, with a nice simple artstyle
Amazing game! Was so addicted I had to 100% it! Audio, visuals, storyline, everything was literally a 11/10!
Just a few nitpicks but literally so small they don't really ruin the enjoyment too much just wanted to let you know:
I would just say that the wheels got stuck when I clicked too fast maybe so I had to refresh, but once I realized there was saves OMG I was so insanely happy! I also think that it'd be super cool if there was a dismantle button early on for when you had a ton of bricks but not enough rocks, and it took awhile to spin to get enough rocks without the automatic rock upgrade. Even like a "craft everything until you can create this bigger thing" button would be a godsend instead of having to navigate the UI to find all the prerequisite pieces to the prerequisite pieces that took awhile at the end.
And like someone else said when I unlocked the mines I didn't realize I had to scroll to the right to see it so it took awhile before I got that going. I think maybe either starting the scene after the cutscene to show both wheels or having an arrow pointing to the right or something might fix this. Also if there was an eventual automatic spin upgrade that would be so nice, my wrist was starting to hurt after a bit but I just couldn't stop!
Seriously what an amazing game and of course these were all just nitpicks but you got me hooked enough, would love to play it again if you ever provide updates! Thanks for this amazing submission!
Thanks for the detailed feedback!
We actually wanted to add some sort of quests that would guide player what is best to unlock right now, but we ran out of time. All your other nitpicks are also completely valid. Thank you for spending so much time on our game. We really appreciate it!
nice game
I blinked and half an hour had passed. This one is a lot of fun, it nails the catharsis of gradual progression and was quite fun to work through the upgrade tree. Very well done here :)
This is very addicting! I love the cute art style, the satisfying sound effects, the incremental gameplay of it! Good job!
Insane amount of work for a week! I hope you have another week of paid vacation to sleep!
Fantastic job, this is really mind blowing how much you got done, and perfectly executed. Congrats!
I played this game for well over an hour and had so much fun!
I loved the progression of speeding up production and increasing the number of items produced per click.
I loved the little follower-type characters! The Ent and the Golem were so cute and they made the world feel more alive.
I got stuck nearly halfway through the game because I didn't realize there was a 2nd wheel for mine-related upgrades. I /did/ eventually unlock the support beams I needed to speed up the mine wheel, and that was super satisfying.
I bought basically all of the upgrades, aside from maxing out a few of the end game mine-related buffs.
The music was incredible- I really felt like I was in a fantasy world on a journey.
The pixel art was well done; I loved the characters hobbling bobbling back and forth to their workstations!
Overall, I was really impressed with your game! Thanks for sharing, I had a lot of fun playing it!
