I can’t say you weren’t honest. I kept expecting for something to happen but it was not happening, so I’m not sure what it has got to do with spinning. Which might mean I missed something, but I completed the whole first level?

I did like the challenging trick of making the motorcycle go “back” or “forward” when switching lanes. It made switching them harder and something that required more thinking.

Unfortunately, my eyes got dizzy and strained with all the high contrast patterns and I ended up trying to look to the edge of my screen to avoid seeing so many harsh patterns for the whole of my vision, which also meant I wasn’t seeing my character icon anymore except when I tried to give it a quick look. I couldn’t continue playing after I lost for the second or third time during the third level.

In the future, I would consider using less harsh colors and patterns.

I am sorry that you didn’t have the best time with my game. I understand that the holes were hard to see and how the game didn’t match the theme the best. This game was my first time trying out this color palette. My computer renders color more vibrant than normal so I didn’t notice the problem until my friend and family told me about it. In the future I will try to make my art more clear and have people play test on before I release. If you have any tips or suggestions on more of my art, please tell me. I’m am probably the worst artist in my friend group and on use pixel because it is easy for me. I have only been making art for a few months now and I would love to learn more.    :D

also, I just finished middle school so I finally have free time. 😅😂

Also also, i just learned you can use emojis on itch.io 😂😂

I enjoyed this game, the controls are super simple, although I could barely see the holes in the road which I'm sure is the point.  Overall great game.

I love the music, what did you use to make it?

Developer

I am so sorry. I did not make the music for the game. I thought I put the music in the description of my game but it doesn’t go through. I am so sorry for the confusion, I am not nearly talented or smart enough to make this music yet. I got the music from a free copyright free website. Here is the link if you want.

Sorry again for the mistake.

I love the parralax effect in the background!

Developer

thank you for noticing. It was my first time using it in a full finished game.    :D

The music was absolute fire ngl!!!

Gameplay wise it was... okay, I think I would have enjoyed it more if there was more contrast between the holes and the street, but the music and aesthetic were great!

Good job on it!

Developer

Thank you for the feedback  :D

eastern europe driving simulator xD

i really liked the art, music. The gameplay was a bit stale

It did not really fit the jam's theme

But with the story and the game's vibes it was a great experience :D

I am sorry the game didn't fit the theme the best. If I compete in another game jam, I will try better.     :D

the music is lowkey soooo firreee. having a deeper connection to the theme will help, as well as more content. anyways, gotta get back to that song

I liked the visuals, and the music really worked well with the levels. The demon hands also added a nice touch to the story. Although I think the game could've had a stronger connection to the theme 'Spin To Win' and I think some sort of progress bar would improve the game for the levels.

The game was really fun once you got used to the lane switching.

i like the visuals and music a lot! i don't really think the adherence to the "spin to win" theme is very strong though, and i didn't seem to get the objective of the game as there's no score or timer or anything, so i felt like i was aimlessly driving.

the music is dang groovy though

If anyone is wondering what the spin-to-win part is. It is the wheels on the scooter. it is a very serious idea (trust me)   :D

Where is the spinning to winning?

Developer

the wheels spin

Catchy tune! The potholes on the top lane can be a bit difficult to see, but overall I had a fun time with it!

Love the art, especially the rider and the cityscape! I think the gameplay would be smoother if switching lanes didn't move you forward/backward as well, and if the potholes were more obvious (my eyes hurt after playing a while). It was fun once I got the hang of it! I wasn't sure if there was an end to the demon hand level — I felt like I lasted ages and didn't see one. I liked the music choices as well, and how it changed for the hard level. Good job!

This city has a serious pothole problem!

oh yeah... and a demon hand problem.

I did encounter a few bugs but it's a fun and simple little game and the art looks great!
