I really enjoyed the idea of putting cellular biology into an incremental. very impressive for a game jam!! I played it on my off screen for like 2 hours :D
Fun incremental! I wish there was more audio, and a bit more guidance as to what upgrade I need next, but after a while I got through it. Can't say much else as I understand this game was made in a very short amount of time, but it could stand to gain from more gameplay elements overall, like a rebirth mechanic!
The UI design is really clean and polished, while I don't love the actual gameplay (sifting through a bunch of different resource types that all do different but very similar things is a bit of a headache) I think the visual design and audio in the game are both really nicely done, especially for having restarted part-way through! Very stylish.
great job delivering this game and the animation is so smooth. Well done
Congratulations on your first game jam. I'm sorry to hear your first idea didn't work out, but at least you were able to deliver this one. Like you said, the game is basic, but it's solid. My only criticism is that incremental games usually have some sort of automation for the clicks later on, I wasn't able to find any on yours.
Apart from that it's a solid incremental game, and like others have said, it could turn into an educational game.
Oh yeah You were supposed to be able to have the cell fully automate itself eventually so I overlooked early automation (I didnt end up implementing that) this could've used a lot of work,
Thank you for the feed.
Really impressive for the short amount of time you had to work with on this. Cute creature design and good incremental build up. If you were to expand on this one area it’s lacking in is the visual variety.
I think its a pretty nice incremental style game. My only complaint would be that i wish the menus would close when you open a new one so it didn't have any overlap. Overall a nice submission!
i really fw the aesthetic of your game and the sound effect. would love for it to have background music though, and for it to be more polished and juicy. for example it feels a bit underwhelming clickingthe upgrades, also i have no idea about biology so this was really cool. nice game, would play again.
That's fair, its a bit more of an experiment than anything so it lacks the "grab" most incremental should have for the "incrementation part" itself to be satisfying I almost didn't even add audio to it.
thank you for the feedback
enjoying this game a lot. the UI is beautiful and the creature is so cute ! lovely incremental game formula too
This really means a lot coming from the famous samsara dev
I like the presentation; the cell (if that's what it is) is cute.
With some explanatory text, this could be a good educational game.
That's actually an idea, if anything education can be salvaged from this
It's a really fun clicker game, and I like the biology theme. I think it's really cool to have a lot of Resources and Formulas. They make the game very interessting.
The Menus can be a bit overwhelming, because there are so many, and an indicator, when an update is available would be helpfull.
Fun last second idea, i really like the addition of the actual formulas. I'd have liked something else than clicking though which emphasizes the spinning nature more. Minor annoyance that the menus stay stuck when opening them instead of closing once you open another menu. Also would benefit some kind of notification popup once an upgrade becomes available.
Your previous game idea also sounds like a lot of fun if you ever get around to it, reminds me of something like Spore.
Oh yeah Spore is an inspiration, procedural generation is a pain though I will get back it someday.
Congratulations! I had fun to spin this little creature ^-^
Unfortunately,it doesn't really fit the "Spin to win"
I would like to have more time to see what's happen next! (I only spend about 10min on the game)
The "Spin to win" element a bit abstract but to Synthesize ATP Real Organisms use 'cell turbines' that literally spin like a motor, which this one "does" (with core concept of game is generating ATP to run processes), I could've visualized that better so its on me, thank you for playing.
No way!! That's incredible!
it makes a lot more sense now :D
After thinking about it, I've changed my rating and increase it for Creativity & Theme ^^
It's really mostly my fault but thank you
I think this game is the real very serious game hahaha
I love incremental game, so even if i dont really know about biology, i took so much time to play it, And i want to continue !
So good job.
Menu are really greate, the bouncy cell is cute, good job !
It used to be even more serious biology is no laughing matter
I'd definitely have to check your game next though.
I'm sorry your original idea didn't pan out for this game jam! I thought the visuals were really nice. The bouncing cell guy was very cute! The amount of menus was a bit overwhelming, to the point where it was more of a game of finding the available upgrades rather than strategizing about which ones to invest in. Also, because there was so many different resources, it never really seemed like I had more than one upgrade available at a time. Here a some suggestions for improvements:
Thank you for the feedback, I probably should've abstracted a lot of the resources to be automated/hidden, working on UI makes me hate myself so I see that transferred well into gameplay, but past that I did manage to update some upgrades balancing before the editing window was over (Upgrades were initially flat value increases instead of being exponential.
anyhow again your feedback is appreciated.
