Alright, this was insanely creative! Really enjoyed setting up the hits and the variety of clubs you offered. Would agree with others that the driving/car club steering felt a bit too sensitive. Other than that, and the wish this had some kind of background track, great game! Lots of fun!

I enjoyed this game and the variety of clubs. I think some of sensitivity settings for the the clubs should be adjusted a little. The steering wheel is super sensitive and the iron mallet (?), I wanted to nudge the ball but accidentally sent it into next week (^_^) Overall, really good entry.

Interesting game, there are some fun mechanics!

A button to restart the level would've been nice, but otherwise it's a great game, well done!

I found that pressing 'r' reset the level.

Very fun game. My only complaint is that its a bit too short. Also I would have tuned the physics a bit differently but that sort of thing is subjective and your way is better.

I really really really like this game. This is super fun, I'm a huge fan of playing mini golf in this way, and the different clubs are such a good idea (although the car one feels quite clunky to play). The visuals and the transitions are incredibly polished, and I'm a big fan of the sfx (except the car sound again tbh).

The one thing I think the game could use is a bit of leniency on the nudging. Occasionally I would accidentally nudge the ball when I wanted to make a big swing (although that could be a skill issue and the game does a good job of introducing the club as a non-regular physics object). Really fun project, loved it!

Thank you very much, I'm glad you had fun! I'm glad you like the graphics and the transition too, was fun to make those.
Yeah the car sound is harsh but didn't get time to change it. Will do in a post jam update.
I added pressing space to toggle the club on/off to help stop accidental hits but it might be best to have you hold space from what I've seen.

Love this take on the theme! The gameplay is really well thought and very nice to play!!

I love it, it's so funny—it feels like playing mini-golf. Really fun. <3

Very fun and unique ! It feels very nostalgic for me as I have a sweet spot for the good old flash game

Even did a one try speedrun at the end after seing the itch comment but sadly got 1:52.

Great job for a first gam jam it's a solid entry ! Loved it

The mechanics are so much more fun and engaging than a standard golf game. Great job, I had a great time playing it

Cool take on a golf game. The car club was a really fun idea, a little clunky to use but it worked well enough (the sound effect for driving was a little aggressive though). I found it got quite challenging and sometimes just because of fighting the mechanics, but also because I am bad.

Developer

Thanks! Glad you like the car, it was very fun to add, though yeah it was very last minute so the wheel is a bit clunky to control.
I shall take notes on the driving sound being too harsh. I thought the same but sound design is not my specialty.

Interesting take on 2d golf that I haven't seen before - gives the player a lot of agency which allows for creative approaches. The art style fits perfectly

Thank you very much! Glad you like the idea!
Was debating whether it would be interesting enough while working on it but I think it turned out pleasantly.

Loved this! Same critique as Dolphinman980. I would place the club next to the ball, and when the head was clicked I would accidently nudge it. I also had a hard time with level 2 before I realized you can place the club anywhere. I assumed that the walls and floors would stop the club. Maybe make the first level one where you have to place the club overlapping the wall or floor and have the tutorial shadow mimic that to show the player that is its possible/intended?

Developer

Thanks, glad you liked my game!
The accidental hitting the ball was top of my list of fixes so that is all good now. Also took your advice on the tutorial showing you can move the club through walls. Thanks!

Very fun! It's really cool having a minigolf game where you actually have to swing the club instead of just drag and shoot. I loved the hammer club, and it would've been cool to see some more different types in there. My only critique would be that everytime I grabbed the head of the club, it swung forwards slightly - often hitting the ball when I didn't want it to. I'd love to see some more levels if you keep working on it!

Developer

Thanks for playing! Glad you liked it!
Yeah I was aware of the issue of accidentally hitting the ball and have fixed it since as well as added another club to use that was bugged out before.
