One of the best I've played in the jam, very atmospheric, loved the art and the audio. The game creates a tense atmosphere, somewhat Lovecraftian in a way. Great job, I really enjoyed it.
I loved the game! I think I ran into a bug where I can only here static from all stations, regardless of the frequency. But man, I simply adore this mechanic. I hope to see it further developed!
I scared
Ooh a pure audio anomaly game!
The presentation and sound felt intriguingly eerie, which really drew me in.
I've only ever seen anomaly games played, so my capacity for rule memorization here was undeveloped. As such, I wish there were more obvious signs that indicated anomalous status beyond very specific rules. However, it still felt good to notice 18 pts / 180-something pts worth of anomalies.
Anywho, killer work! You've all crafted a really cool experience here.
Cool art style and audio design. Reminds me of a game from my childhood,
very cool premise and great audio !! well done on the game!
Love the artstyle, and the sound design is awesome!
As a fan of UVB-76 (the buzzer), I approve :D
Great work on this, I got way too engrossed in doing my job. The pay was worse than advertised, as I have yet to see a check.
Looks like this could be the next game up ManlyBadassHero's alley! I see a lot of potential in the core of this game. I do wish there was more indication of when sounds were occurring on each channel, but otherwise I think y'all worked the theme well :)
Its a bit confusing at first but when you understand what you need to do it become more enjoyable. Sound design is very good to support this idea. Most unique game i played in this jam about this theme. Well done
First things off i SUCK at this game, that being said really cool and really unique, I had some trouble remembering what is normal and what isn't but thats just a me problem i think lol
Really liked the dimmer ambience without using anything over the top.
Really liked this one, one of the more unique ones in the jam!
Initially I was super confused on what was I was actually doing, even after reading the book. I slowly got the idea of what I had to do, albeit it was a bit tough to know what an anomaly was or not. That probably gets better with each replay though. Overall the atmosphere and audio design is great, I'll play this again for sure! Spooky radio broadcasts are so cool.
super cool spin(pun intended) on the theme, the idea of shifting through frequencies never knowing what you'll hear next is surprisingly stressful. opening up the game at first I will say the block of text(and needing to remember what was an anomaly) was a bit daunting, but I quickly became immersed in the atmosphere - even when that "atmosphere" was just listening to static most of the time. a game that can be enjoyed even when you're exceptionally bad at it(I scored 1/22 on the first night 😭)
Unique idea! Going through the frequencies and not being sure what you're going to hear next is spooky. Sound design is really well done too. I think maybe there's a bit too much text right at the beginning of the game to read through, but overall a fun game!
The AESTHETIC OF THE BOOT UP SCREEN IS LOWKEY FUCKING MMMMMMMMMMMMMM
Okay play by play:
GREAT STUFF!
The spin mechanic was insanely effective at creating atmosphere. Dialing between channels and frequencies listening for anomalies really immersed me into the gameplay and made for a suspenseful experience. That being said, I felt as if some of the frequencies' range were too narrow, and there were many times I caught snippets of an audio recording but was unable to focus down on the correct frequency. Despite this, I had a lot of fun playing the game and really felt as if I was there frantically operating the radio.
Add more spooky and story and my soul is yours.
the radio signals get a bit quirky at night
Loved the atmosphere and gameplay. I wish it was more serious. Great entry!
Great game! I felt really unsettled at times. Good job!
This is an amazing game, you nailed the ambiance and cleverly integrated the theme into the main mechanic. Good job!
