the tutorial glitched, the gameplay was frankly confusing, and the lag (it isnt the games fault it is just my potato pc) that soured it for me. the artstyle is nice, the cat is adorable.

Loved the game, the graphics and liminal aesthetic is something i REALLY like and i find the clay mechanic very relaxing Didn't exacly understandt how to play the game at first because the tutorial apparently glitched lol

looking quite a lot of work, and having a functioning clay workshop in game is crazy. but sadly I can't survive making the first mug order cus I click outside accidently and the movement control gone wrong... and this happen few times.. maybe would be better not having it auto fullscreen? but overall, big thumbs up for what you can do in a week!

I absolutely loved the concept! Funny and weird in the best way. Was quite terrible at making the pots but that's on me. :D The presentation was also great, was this your cat?

It seemed to lag at some places and the meow could have used some variations (at some point I would have preferred it muted.) Other than it was great!

Meow Meoww meowww!

I'm quite terrible at this game, (The only order I completed was apparently wrong? I don't know...) but it was absolutely delightful to play and figure out. As a matter of fact, the only reason I stopped playing was because the game went out of focus and my mouse refused to lock back into the FPS camera, making the game unplayable as I was facing away from literally everything important. The only thing I would change is to add a pause menu with some tips and tricks for people like me who forgot how to make holes in things within ten seconds of being told how to. Other than that, the game has a delightful atmosphere and a unique concept that I really enjoyed! (I'll also add - the music reminded me a lot of the building music from My Sims on the Wii. It fits really well!)

Hi! I spent a good half an hour with your game and I have some feedback! However... I am not going to rate your game because of some issues I had that meant I didn't make it very far and I don't think it's fair to give you a rating without taking a fair shot at the game.

  • I like the cat! Very cute! I assume it's your cat?
  • The meow was cute at first too, but I had to restart several times due to some technical issues and it eventually became a bit annoying, sorry to say.
  • My first attempt at running this game it did not disable my mouse pointer so I could not look around very far, only until my mouse left the side of the game window. Additionally, I use dual monitors and that seemed to make looking around a bit wonky as well? Maybe just because it did not disable my mouse. I set my monitors to 'mirror' before I reloaded to fix this, so I am unsure if this bug is persistent.
  • I got stuck and restarted a few times after picking up the first order. When da boss's text box popped up I was still holding the order so clicking made me read it again, and I did not know that I was supposed to press 'e' to drop it, I thought it was a bug. I eventually figured it out, but I ran through the intro again a few times before I did.
  • I downloaded the game as well as played it in the browser. The downloaded version seemed to lag on my system, but the browser version worked fine? I'm on Linux and Firefox is my browser. Additionally, you've included both the Windows and Linux files in the Linux download, you could save some space by only including the Linux ones.
  • When it came time to actually make the pottery I restarted a few times as well because I couldn't figure out how to make mugs hollow, but that was apparently a reading comprehension failure on my part because the tutorial does tell you, I just missed it and if you don't catch it you have to restart to see that again.
  • Once I finally got a mug made I had some issues with the Kiln. Possibly I accidentally opened the door before the tutorial told me to and it didn't like that? Not sure. But my first mug clipped through the conveyor and I couldn't pick it back up, so I went and made another. My second mug also clipped through the conveyor, but it landed so I could see it's edge and pick it back up, then on the third try it registered on the conveyor as it should. After that the tutorials timing seemed off? Maybe I was playing with the timer before I got that far and it broke it but it did not make me wait 10 seconds after starting that timer.
  • Finally, when the first patron returned and I had my finished mug it did not register and he told me he was disappointed and left. I am unsure if my mug was too large (it was bigger than the first one I made) or if it never fired in the Kiln correctly because of my issues with the tutorial timing and it didn't register as a finished mug. Or something else I'm not thinking of. Anyway, at this point I gave up, sorry.

I think this is a really cool idea for a game! I hope my feedback doesn't sound too negative, I'm trying to be constructive. I once again apologize for not getting far enough to see the actual gameplay loop, but I think my frustrations would be mirrored by anyone not in the jam trying the game if they had the same issues.

Have a wonderful day and good luck in the Jam! From some of the other comments it seems like your game is pretty fun once you actually get to playing it!

Thank you for the really constructive comment! I do think this game was a little bit too big of a bite for a week long deadline - a lot of your issues are things I've noticed on my own playtests but just had to ignore for timing's sake. I will definitely take them and work on refining the entry into the game. I really appreciate your time spent on it!

Great game! I couldn’t figure out how to make my mugs smooth though… Very well polished though.

Awesome game! I love the big boss and its kinda insane to make a highly detailed pottery mechanic in this game jam! I am not a big pottery person so I have no idea what I'm doing most of the time but its good fun! Very creative take on the theme, the audio's great and I like the visuals of a mix of PNGs of real pictures and the game models which surprisingly works for me. This game definitely is highly serious as well! Well done!

Nice game with a lot of details and story! unfortunately a bit laggy in my browser..

Ohhhh being able to make the pottery like that was very impressive!!

Some of my finished pieces disappeared which was a bit disheartening, i don't know if they broke without me realizing or what happened x_x Maybe they could have their physics disabled once you store them to avoid things like that.

Overall very original and enjoyable game ^_^

I loved this, everything about it, but you are EVIL for letting my beautiful artpiece break!

really loved the visuals, the music and the cat, but didnt know what to do once i got in.... (also my pot were falling through the conveyor belt but maybe i was doing something wrong)

I really like the artstyle of the game! It really complements the weirdness of the rest of the game in the best ways possible!

Really love the characters of this game.

The tutorial was a bit lacking, it might be fine for ppl with a longer memory than mine lol, but i think an objectives list would be beneficial, so I'm not doing things before I was supposed to do. This way was a bit confusing, because i was some steps ahead already.

Developer(+1)

Heard! Yeah the tutorial was a crunch last minute thing I threw on right at the end, I definitely want to rework it. The objective idea is really good, I think I'll probably use that if I keep working on this. Thank you for playing!

I really liked the cat! It added a very silly element to the game which I really loved. Very cool game!

What a truly fascinating game. I love the talking cat god

I loved the addition of what I assume was your cat within the game. The art direction and narrative of the game was fresh, enjoyable and amusing. A godlike cat entity abducting you to make pottery for medieval patrons gave me a good chuckle. This gave me nostalgia of OSRS and Evil Bob the cat.

Things I wanted more from the game:

- A way to kiln multiple items. I tried doing this an I think I broke the kiln and had to restart the game. Maybe I just did it wrong? Perhaps add a carrying tray?

- Maybe a tutorial book for the simple items? (I'm a visual learner sometimes)

Those are just a few suggestion. Otherwise, I enjoyed the game and it was a great take on the gam jam theme! I look forward to your next game.
