Fantastic art style!  It took me a little while to figure out what I was trying to do, but once I got it, it was a fun challenge.

I hit one bug where I got trapped inside a wall and bombarded with bouncing sound effects, and my army would occasionally flicker between two animations real fast when they were right up against a wall.  Those usually resolved themselves after a little bit, but in particular when I got stuck it was a little frustrating, especially since time is somewhat tight.

I also think that, with the background being so busy, it can be a little hard to tell what's a platform and what is background; one thing that might help that would be to lighten and/or desaturate the background a little bit, to make the platforms pop.

Very fun little game, and a solid jam entry.  Good work!

Thanks for playing!!! I tried applying contrast to the background but it wasn’t quite enough 🙂‍↕️, if I update the game that will be adjusted!

I love the silly unique artstyle!! A joy to play and see the funny characters!

That was cool! Very original idea and I am a sucker for choppy art!

I didn't get at frist what I had to do and kinda just floated around for a bit but when I saw the controls in the description it made sense and is quite fun to play! Reminded me of old games like aquarium deluxe kind off.

I did end up breaking it though :P I spun myself stuck in a wall, but that doesn't take anything away from the game!

Great fun, well done!

Glad to hear you enjoyed! Sorry about the wall thing, collisions are hard to program lmao

Yeah I know, no worries
A little jank gives games charm! ^^

i love how silly it is! It is a bit difficult to see where I was going because of the background ande forecround art matching a bit too much, and because the UI got in the way sometimes, but that isn't really that big of a deal. I did get stuck i a few walls though after spinning, losing quite a bit of time, but the rest of the game and controls where [retty smooth.

Just an ordinary day at my company's computer.....

Love the visuals !!!! I was aiming for something similar with my entry but you pushed it so much further into goofyness hahahah

I absolutely love the visuals on this, really well done. Super silly!

This was fun! I really love the sound design and artwork for the virus, its really funny. The Gameplay was fine but maybe a bit too one dimensional imo. Which isnt really the Problem for a Game jam. Well Done!

Cool game, loved the visuals and the audio had a nice retro feel to it that matched well. The spinning trick is neat and I like that it can double as a kind of sprint button, but that you have to be careful with it as you risk bumping into a wall and losing momentum.

I felt that the wall sprites kind of blended into the background and it took me a second to realize they were barriers, but I got the hang of it. I also would sometimes get stuck in the wall when using the spin attack, usually I was able to unstick myself by spinning again, but not always.

I had fun with this game though, really good job :)

Cool visuals! :D

It took me a bit of time to understand what to do and how, but once it got through I had fun! The artstyle is really cool, especially Borgy's sprite that I LOVE.

The movement didn't feel very good, mostly because of the slowness to change direction and the lots of bouncing on walls when spinning, but that's also how the game's balanced so it's not that much of an issue in the end.

I had to retry 3 or 4 times to manage to break all computers in time, but when I returned to Hemmings with my army, nothing happened? I'm not sure if I did something wrong, or if it bugged out

Anyway, cool game!

Developer(+1)

Thanks for playing! Glad you enjoyed. Sorry about the issue, could you please give more details? The army is very stupid at times, so they can get stuck a lot. Also, did Hemming’s sprite look scared? If the text above him doesn’t read as “VVV GET HIM VVV”, then he isn’t able to be converted yet. If none of this sounds like the issue, then I’ll just pull a few strings for you and call it a win.

Submitted(+1)

VVV  GET HIM VVV was written above him and I called the army  on top of him but then nothing seemed to happen and 20s later the time ran out sadly

Didn’t have the courage to retry from scratch after that haha

Developer(+1)

Welp, sorry bout’ that. Don’t know what went wrong. Take this win screen as compensation and claim it’s yours, congratulation!!!

Just came back to this comment and saw that… you.. LOVE Borgy’s sprite???

Verry funny and visually appealing game that I enjoyed a lot even if it took a bit for me to understand the gameplay! The art scratches an itch of mine that I lovee!!! Good job!

I love the artwork and the diegetic design of the map / hints guiding the player. I had to reread the directions a few times to make sure I understood the objectives which became pretty clear once I spun into enemies and converted them into my army. The game itself is challenging! Music fits neatly. Going to give it a few more go's and try to win - I could see a potential level 2 zone, perhaps a "Corporate Retreat" map where everyone is forced to go on vacation lol.

Developer(+1)

Thank you for the feedback! …Now that you mention it, I kinda do really love the idea of a corporate retreat stage… that’s definitely becoming a thing if I ever expand the game. Thank you for playing!!!

I liked the art style.

Had a bit of trouble navigating through the world, when using the spin mechanic I often got stuck in the terrain. I also wish the movement mechanics of the main character felt a little snappier but that just a personal preference.

Well done great job!

I am giving this top score on seriousness! ;) Art was fantastic. <3 I adored the world details placed on the background layer. I had one run just looking around to read the signs.

Had to give it quite a few tries before I managed to beat it, I often managed to break the last computer with only two seconds left on the clock, but I got there eventually. My score was 95720.

It was a bit difficult to see the theme, the spinning felt more like a checkbox than actually a mechanic or theme, but I still have to score it somewhat high due to creativity. :)

This is a really great submission! Good luck! :)

Thank you for your feedback! I was hoping someone would take the time to look at the background. I would have done more with the theme, but began to run low on time, so I had to pivot to something simpler. That’s a pretty good score you got! Thx 4 Playing
