Love the theme (makes sense, given my game took a similar approach)! The writing is snappy and funny; the end was especially clever. The mechanic is okay, but felt disconnected from the narrative, and focusing on so many fast-spinning wheels at a time was a little dizzying.
Nice concept here! I had fun reading the different headlines, though they were spinning way too fast for me to see all the options.
If you continue tinkering with it, the ones with multiple spinning wheels (especially 3+ with very small windows and anything 4+) were just too hard for me to try to focus on, so I just clicked through them to move on to the next level. It would be nice if those were slower and/or had bigger target zones since there's already so much more to pay attention to (and I played them on the easiest level).
But nice sound design and nice overall aesthetic - good job!
Thanks!
Difficulty is definitely first on my list of things to address in a post-jam patch. Depending on how much time I still want to devote to this, I'm considering making it so that the difficulty option doesn't just globally affect the speed of the wheels by a set multiplier the way it does now, but also affects things like the target zone width and perhaps even adds entirely new target zones for the multiple wheel levels to make them easier to manage on the lower difficulty levels.
Really cool mechanic. I haven't seen one quite like it in the jam. I also like how you tied it into the story. The funny translations are good too!
This was an amazing take on the jam theme! I feel a concept like this really hinges on good writing and good puzzle-solving, and you absolutely nailed it on both fronts. I laughed out loud at nearly every headline, it was so funny. Although "stop the spinning wheel" is a tried-and-true game mechanic, you made it feel fresh with connected wheels and different speeds/sizes/arrow locations. Very solid UX (really like how the arrows' color reflects your result) and noir aesthetic. 5/5 on all fronts, awesome job!
The concept of this game is very orignal and well executed. Although I was extemely bad at it so the Baron is never getting elected, sorry :(
This is a solid game! I absolutely love the art style, sound design and feeling of the game. It was super charming and has a lot of personality. I really enjoyed having to time multiple spins together at once. I had a lot of fun, great job!
Now this is a game that fully sucks you into the noir setting. Graphics are fantastic and in a weird way no matter win or lose I feel like I won (cause Baron is so awful). Super unique take and I'd love to see how you develop as a developer (get it). Nice job :D
Fantastic game! I love the take on the theme, and the graphics are really nice (the dithered sections on the wheels look great). Music complements the setting well, so that everything feels cohesive. Gameplay is simple but satisfying (it feels great to hit the three-wheel gizmos when they work!). I played on normal difficulty, which felt like a nice challenge but not overwhelming.
All of the headlines are hilarious, and seeing the way that they "flip" is always funny. The last flip after winning was a pleasant surprise.
Great social commentary in a funny wrapper. Amazing job!
I absolutely adored this game. The gameplay was so clean and I'm impressed by how well you implemented the theme in two different ways. Spinning the narrative was very satisfying and funny, and I loved the ending of spinning my own thoughts. I also appreciate that I was able to play at different levels to make sure I could see different endings. Crazy impressive in the time frame. I may call this a perfect game!
Charming game! Audio and visuals are great (you made all of it?)!
I did! It was a busy week...
A precise, stylish game... I really like the look of it. It gets really tough on Normal mode at times, but it was a lot of fun!
First thing I'm doing after the judging is done and uploads are unlocked, I'm tuning the difficulty better — this has been pretty common feedback, that a lot of people are finding Normal mode to be more difficult than I had intended
Well designed, well executed, and quite funny too. Amazing work.
highest game ive rated yet, its kinda just like mine but way better

Nice game. I like the black and white newspaper aesthetic. Cogwheels are cool. I like cogwheels.
this is literally the best game i've played so far for this game jam. it was actually so amazing omg no words. the visuals, the narrative, the serious theme still played lightly and well, i just really had a lot of fun!! keep it up :)
This is the best interpretation of the theme I've seen so far and the overall experience is very fun and funny and polished. I found it a bit challenging during my first play through so I appreciate being given difficulty options which I might use for my next run. If you have ideas on how to expand this idea into a bigger game I'd love to play more!
A simple but absolutely well put together unique game! The text options were great and the spinning mechanic was interesting, I do wish there were more than 2 types of wheels (single and connected).
Great use of visuals, the style was really fun!
Very serious game indeed!
I didn’t get my mayor elected but I did indeed decide I did a decent job and was no miracle worker.
I understand the gamification of the chained wheels but I felt like they either were too complex to keep track of or caused the game to become a waiting game for them to align.
At one point I think the game thought I clicked (must have been an accidental double click) so it stopped the spin right away. And one word just kept spinning forever.
Really nice graphics, funny spin on the theme and well written prompts.
Playing on Firefox (Linux) if I press maximize while in the menus the game just goes blank/black. Also The UI:s do overlap so I cannot see the other games you were listing:
Thanks for pointing those glitches out! I will patch that stuff up as soon as I get a chance…
Hey there! I just played your game. I have to say its an amazing interpretation of the theme and probably one of my favourites. I really did enjoy it and how you took that simple mechanic and expanded upon it a bit and I think there's more room for expansion but for the jam's constraints it was great :D. I didn't have time to read the texts much because I was mainly focused on clicking the spinning things at the right time😅
I thought the art style and music were great as well and complemented each other very nicely
Overall it was a great game and I did enjoy playing it :D
