I liked the art (very pretty) and the hilarious text at the beginning! But that music man, it made me tense!
I think the gameplay could be enjoyable if the red bug did something to stop you dance or if he was competing with you. I didn't really see him do anything so I don't know if it's a bug? (no pun intended).
It's actually quite good for a first game ever made! Keep it up!
So is my mortal enemy okay after this dance battle... I didn't know it was gonna be like that. All jokes aside this was super cute and a great first game! How did you implement the blueberry dropping at the right time? I've always been curious as to how rhythm games work behind the scenes.
Wasn't sure how the theme was implemented, but for a first game it's solid. Could've used a sound when successfully / unsuccessfully hitting a blueberry
when you hit space, you roll/spin. i would've added a sound but the way i was already tracking if you were actually hitting it right would be useless which would make me have to redo like the whole correct/incorrect hit system and i didn't feel like trying to find all the places where i referenced that so ¯\_(ツ)_/¯ thank you!! :)
Cute game! Congratulations on making your first game and submitting it to your first game jam! A lot of firsts here. Godot is a fantastic tool for developing games, especially for game jams. I hope you stick with it and make more games. Well done! :)
Good job on submitting to the jam !
And welcome to the Godot community!
It works, it's fun and cute, nice work for a first game
Why would I not want to make those bugs jump ?:)
For your next project, what you could look into, is the Stretch settings in Project settings > General > Display > Window. It allows your project to be stretch (with the same ratio if you want) so it always adapts to the place you have.(see my second screenshot)
Also, spaghetti code is mandatory for a gamejam so don't mind that part !
