This is incredible! I was stunned by the amount of polish and content your team managed to churn in just a week. This is a full game, and a very well-made one too! The puzzles, art, and audio are all so good. I expect to see this one pretty high in the rankings

I'm so glad I got to play this entry, best game I played by a mile. It's extremely polished, the pixelart is really good, the music and sfx is really good, the gameplay is really good. 10/10.
PD: Did Kojima write the plot?

It's a finish awesome game ! Good Job ! The number of minigame and the mechanic are polishing and enjoyable to play. Overall wonderful !

This 2 year project is a little bit short, otherwise it's really excellent.

Uh, what do you mean a 7 day game jam ?

Really fun stuff! Every minigame is nice and polished, and they work very well together! The art, music and design all match each other nicely, amazing teamwork!

This is such an awesome puzzle game! Very well designed and very fun! Love the visuals and the randomness of the puzzles kinda works with the theme as well! I love how everything is based on the spinning mechanic the vault has which is awesome! Very well polished as well overall! Awesome work! I had a lot of fun with this one!

this game is sooo good

Wow! Crazy that this got made in 7 days! Great game.

Holy hell. This is genuinely so wonderful! I'm such a massive fan of basically all of the mechanisms and I think that the interchange of all of these puzzles is such a smart and fun mechanic! My only feedback would be that the water level seems to rise much quicker when the level is already higher, which makes it hard for me to tell how much time I have left (not a problem at all if this is intentional for the sake of challenge, but just nitpicking for anything really lol). 10/10 project I really loved it!

Developer(+1)

Glad you enjoyed it so much! The reason it was done that way (specifically, it goes from 25% of the way up to all the way up in the last quarter of the time) was because we didn't want the water to be too visually distracting in the majority of the time playing. By the time it's going up fast, you'd already be familiar with how the room works in most cases, and having the blue over everything makes it a little harder to parse. The water rising faster is also when a water flowing layer gets added on top of the music, for a little bit of extra-fitting ambience :)

Developer(+1)

Adding to what Zucchini said, I think that generally the way you approach a room doesn't change whether you know you have exactly 10 seconds left vs exactly 15 seconds left. At one point we did have a more accurate stopwatch timer, but we felt the water level lead to much more exciting moments since the tension really ratchets up when the water speeds up! Really happy to hear you enjoyed playing :)

Both your comments make a lot of sense, fantastic game design sense in that case :) Kudos to a seriously amazing project!

i loved this experience! this is exactly the kind of puzzle game i fall in love with. absolutely exceptional work, honestly no notes.

Wow, this was amazing! The game was really fun, the puzzles were intuitive, but at the same time the respective doohickeys got their time, so you could learn them. You managed to create quite a long game, but one that is still fun after all the time. That being said I rage quit after the level with two balloons, cheese and the bird. After my fifth attempt I did not want to do it all over again. Balloon and Bird are easily F tier just because of this :D

Great job all of you, this was so awesomesauce

Fantastic and very creative game! My only nitpick would be that it is too long. I might be too impatient but towards the end I was starting to get fatigued. If the game was like 20% shorter new puzzles would always feel fresh and exciting. Also despite how beautifully animated the snail is - I hated it the most because it had too much screen time while others were sitting in the shodow

Overall the best puzzle game I have played on this jam! Good job guys

Developer(+1)

Haha glad you liked! The snails were one of the first doohickeys made, and also ended up much more versatile than other doohickeys with a win condition (birdwatching is okay but you can always do it at the end, same with rain plants, discs are my personal favorite but they're also really hard and had to be introduced later bc of that.). Mice are useful and cool but on top of them not being made until a good few days in, they're inherently harder than snails because they have their own loss condition.

We had a bunch of extra rooms made that were actually scrapped partially for fatigue/keeping things concise reasons (and also partially because some of them were Evil) but it was also important we gave each doohickey some amount of love, even if some (sorry dizzy monster </3 ) got the short end of the stick. Looking at it from the perspective of people who properly understand the game and what makes it fun now, I think we mostly agree that certain doohickeys don't do much for the game and could've been scrapped to keep things concise, but that's the fun thing about making games on a time limit lol, there's only really time to think about this stuff after the deadline.

Thanks so much for the thoughts, it's interesting to look back on how translucent a development process can be when it needs to be done quickly.

10/10 really great concept and implementation, great puzzle design, wonderful sound effects, and beautiful visuals!

Submitted(+1)

Polished, creative and well thought out! I wished I had something more interesting to say, but I guess that goes to show you did a great job!

Very polished, it was quick understand every mechanic for the locks and even thought it got a bit overwhelming in the end it was very fun. Really like the style and music
