Nice and relaxing puzzle game. The music was lovely and calming. A simple game with good polish!

Thanks for playing!

A lovely zen game to casually play. Feels like it could work well as a meditation tool :)

Thanks so much!

Cool idea, but finding the perfect matches was very difficult for me, i couldn't figure out a strategy, just waited for the pattern for long minutes, which i couldn't find so i gave up. It was calming though, the music felt nice, i just couldn't really progress.

Developer(+1)

Sorry it gave you trouble! Planned for it just to be a kind of vibe-y experience, but I can see how that could become frustrating to make understandable progress. Appreciate the feedback!

Very relaxing and chill, it was really pretty (shapes and colors:DDD) and the music fit perfectly. The game wasn't too hard but when I got the concept I got slightly bored, I think it's not really my thing :( I still had fun with the first few levels tho, good job ! It's a fun idea, I can see this as like a daily game like wordle if you complexify it a little more :)

Hey, thanks for giving it a play, even if it's not entirely your thing! Was definitely targeting the chill, cozy gamers for this one. Figuring out a way to add in some challenges is definitely the next step.

Ohhh after rating actions games I finally played something peaceful. Super relaxing but also challenging at the same time. Great work!

Developer

Glad my game could be a bit of a break in your lineup! Thanks for giving it a go!

Nice and chill game! The music really fit the vibe and the puzzles were really relaxing but not too easy which is good

Thank you!

This is surprisingly calming and beautiful. The kaleidoscopes are really beautiful, and there’s a certain kind of satisfaction to just watching them spin and create these intricate patterns.

It’s a shame I only discovered from the comments that there is music! I played half the game thinking there were no music. Once I turned on the volume, it made the game so much better!

Very good entry!

Developer(+1)

Aww man, sorry you didn't have any music at first! Thanks for playing!

This was a really calm, tranquil, and generally engaging puzzle game! There was something very satisfying about just watching the patterns spin and realign, until finding the right angles and lining things up. It quickly got more and more complex - but at no point did it feel stressful. You eased the player into the more complex puzzles really well, introducing more unique aspects very organically, making for a very fair and fun experience.

The colour choices on some of the kaleido-puzzles might be a bit too samey for some, and I can potentially see some colourblind people struggling to engage with this. But the actual puzzles themselves were fun and engaging!

I quickly ended up lost playing this - though the music looped a bit weirdly, the sound design was really fitting. At times it felt like the slides spun too slowly, so maybe having them accelerate the longer you hold the arrow? On the other hand - it flowed really well, with that slow pace, so that might break that zen feeling it channelled.

I can see this doing numbers as a mobile puzzle game.

Thanks for the kind words! Towards the end of working on it, I did get worried about some of the colors being readable. If it was something I expanded, I agree I'd need to figure out a way to make it work for various types of color blindness. Probably best done with different visual modes the player can toggle. As for the spinning, another commenter mentioned it might be a bit slow as well. I think having some kind of spin/speed slider would help there, too. Appreciate the feedback!

What a beautiful and relaxing entry. I am surprised there's not more games whose whole premise is this! I really spent way more time than I expected playing this one. great job with the sound design and the levels, they are pretty and interesting to play :)

Developer

Thanks for playing! Glad to hear you enjoyed it :)

That’s a great idea. I had never thought of using rotation to change the pattern. The kaleidoscope was beautiful and the music so soothing that I was completely captivated. Wonderful!

Sometimes I got distracted by the patterns so I just kept spinning ignoring my task. Really mesmerizing and fun, felt like a hypnotized chicken. Great job!

Developer

I definitely got distracted a few times, too! Haha thank you!

This is such an interesting idea! The music is a great choice too, made the whole experience really relaxing. I think the only issue I had was that I would have liked if I could click on the example that I had to match to fullscreen it, just to get a better look at it. Also some SFX for spinning and selecting colors and whatnot might have been nice too hahaha. But other than that this was just really pleasant. I like that it doesn't auto-complete when you get the right pattern, and instead you have to "check" it, and the fact that the check takes a little bit of time to do means you can't just spam it until you've gotten it right, you really have to engage and understand what's going on in order to complete a level. Two colors felt just right for me, with three colors I was totally lost, though maybe being able to look closer at the pattern I was trying to match would help there. I also wonder if being able to view the individual colors in the pattern to match would help in a way that wouldn't just take out all the challenge. Really enjoyed it overall. Great job!

Developer(+1)

I was stuck trying to figure out another way for the player to check their progress besides using the actual "check".  I like both of your ideas, especially separating a view for individual colors. I'll have to tinker with that. Thanks for giving the game a shot and for leaving such detailed feedback! It helps a lot!

now i might be biased, as i am infactuated by kalaidescopes as it is, but this is a SERIOUSLY relaxing game! the music of course helps this massively, its so chill i could play this for ages. also just genuinely a brilliant concept, one of the more unique takes on this theme ive seen for sure

Developer

Thanks for the kind words! :)

Gotta be one of the most relaxing games I've played in the jam

Developer

Glad I could bring some chill vibes!

It's a really relaxing game, and it fits the theme really well. Maybe it would be nice if you could zoom in on the original image too, so players could compare it on their own. Other than that, great job! Visually, it's absolutely stunning!

Developer(+1)

Thanks for playing! Yeah, in general, I was struggling to figure out a good location for the target design to be featured and how the player should be able to interact with it. Being able to zoom in on it is a good idea!

I don't know what you put in this game, but it made me feel a level of introspection and calmness that I don't think any game has ever made me feel before. Like genuinely, this game is so beautiful that it brought me a deep feeling of hope in a world that often feels hopeless.

You designed excellent patterns that had just the right amount of difficulty. I did a lot of cross-checking and going back and talking to myself, "This triangle looks good... oh but the inner ring isn't right, let me spin it another cycle... yeah that's it, onto purple". It was so soothing, and then the chimes when you match it were very satisfying. Originally I wanted a score system, to know just how close I was to perfection... but as I kept playing, I actually love that I don't need to get it pixel-perfect, I can just relax and enjoy the art I brought together.

Incredible game, would love to see this turned into a full release and recommended alongside other comfort games like Unpacking and A Little to the Left.

Wow, I don't even know what to say besides a huge thank you for the very kind message! You definitely have a way with words (which artistry I think is reflected in your own submission, might I add)!

I'm just glad I was able to provide a bit of peace amidst the chaos :)

Wow, great job on the game!

This is not something I would usually play in my free time, but it was really well done, really relaxing, and the visuals were super nice, ended up spending a little bit of time on the game. Amazing work!

Developer

Hey, thanks! Really appreciate you even giving it a shot when it's not your usual cup of tea to play!
