I thought it was neat, and props for using Pico8! My only nit-picks are that orange and yellow are too similar, and I did not realize the ball at the bottom was telling me the color I have to match at first and was trying to match the colors of the fruit by eye and getting it wrong sometimes.

Have a wonderful day and good luck in the Jam!

Pretty cool Game! The Art looks great!

I had my Problems noticing, that Orange and Yellow are diffrent colors so I was a bit confused first.

But apart from that, loved it!

A great idea integrating the theme in the game. I found a bit challenging the last levels, but I definitely enjoyed testing my reflexes to fit the fruits inside the circles. Gameplay was pretty solid. Great work!😊

I like your art and also it's a pretty fun, simple game. Though I think you should make it automatic instead of having to press X. Good Job!

I love the art style of this one! The gameplay is really fun too. Great entry!!!

Took me a minute to figure out I have to press X when the fruit is over the colour, but nice game!

This is a pretty fun game, and I really like the gameplay loop! Getting the fruits into the right position felt SUPER satisfying. I do feel like some of the colors are too similar to each other, so I sometimes found myself sliding to the wrong color, but I might just be colorblind or something ;~: This game was really cool though, and makes me want to try making a game using pico-8! Great job.

This was a pleasant little arcade type game. The simplicity is nice because it makes the whole thing easy to pick up.  I feel like some of the colors are a little too close, specifically the yellow. It sorta felt like a rotary phone, which I enjoyed!

Ahhh man i love this, took me back to classic arcade games, from the sound to the aesthetic. Plus i luuuuurve Pico games. Really great job ❤️❤️

Play by play! I will write down my thoughts as I play it about pretty much everything I have. Positive, frustration etc.

  • A pretty page. Already a good sign that there will be polish
  • Oooo nice aesthetic on the game. Very retro!
  • Huh why am I dead? O I GET IT. I HAVE TO SPIN THE WHEEL TO MATCH THE COLOUR
  • WYM THAT PINEAPPLE IS TOTALLY ORANGE. (Got to level 2)
  • Ok this is pretty hard! (Level 3 death.) But I can get good at this.
  • OK I LEARNED THE ORDER OF THE WHEEL (I think) Won the game!

Cute little game. Seems hard at first but is super rewarding when you get the hang of it. The only thing I can think of to say is to allow the pineapple on orange as well. I kept being baited by oranges and yellows. But maybe that is a skill issue!

Very polished!

Thank you for the feedback! i originally made yellow vs. orange and blue vs. dark blue to make it more challenging, but i agree it wasn't the best idea since a lot of the feedback mentioned the same thing. ive already fixed it and will update this page as soon as the game jam ends. i really appreciate your feedback!

Super polished experience from the art, the zany music, and the gameplay! It really made me feel like I was inserting a cartridge and booting up a retro game. I second what others have said about it being hard to differentiate between some of the colors for the rings. Also, I thought the game design was nice in the sense that you can build up progress and lose it as much as you want without having to worry about something like a lives system. It was cool that your "health bar" was tied to your progression so that you can always make a comeback.

fun game, i love the spinning mechanic

Really enjoyed this game; super unique and cute!

But there being multiple shades of certain colors really throws me off! Maybe it’s a skill issue, but either way, great job!

very fun entry and creative use of the theme. great job with the wheel spinning mechanic animation, especially in pico 8!

Fun game! I think you did a very good job! As others have said, I think having both orange and yellow is very confusing, but outside of that, this is great!

This was a fun game! Aligning the fruits on the right colored circle was pretty satisfying. I will say I found it a little hard sometimes to differentiate between some of the colors. Like the lemon and banana colors looked the same to me for a minute. Also I wasn't sure whether the watermelon was meant for the green or red circle. Most likely a skill issue on my part :) Otherwise, a great submission! Good work!

I also used Pico 8 for my game! I'm pretty impressed with how you made the circles spin!

This was a fun little game!  I played through several rounds.  The graphics are nice, the gameplay is straightforward but fun, and the music seems weird at first, but the more I played, the more I felt like it actually fit really well.  I also like the little comments that pop up, which give it a lot of personality.  My only two real critiques are that the difficulty feels like it ramps up really fast (I would have preferred a gentler difficulty ramp), and that sometimes it can be difficult to tell which color a fruit is supposed to be sorted into (I found yellow v orange and blue v purple particularly tricky, and watermelon goes into green despite a lot of it being pink).

But all-in-all, really fun.  Great work!

Hey, a fellow PICO-8 dev!! Love this, its such a cool concept! My only issue is that it was tricky for some of the fruit to tell which circle they were aligned with,  I'm guessing it's a thing where PICO-8's canvas is pretty limiting. SO cool though!

i originally built this game in my own fantasy console, the color is good in there, but I realized I didnt implemented the export to html yet so sadly i remake this game in Pico8 haha.
