Software used
Unity!

Use of the limitation
You start a robot hand startup company to help people. As you play, the game gets completely chaotic as you manage 6 buildings at once. The news ticker will progress the story, depicting a story in which your robot hands are destroying the economic and political systems of the world on their own agenda, there's even an ending sequence which depicts a dead earth where all material resources have been allocated to building more Handy robots. Also, you know, "hands."

Cookies eaten
We were munching on some chocolate espresso beans mostly, probably like 20 of them. I think Will came in with some kind of brownie or chocolate muffin at some point but didn't eat much of it because his tum-tum hurt (don't worry he's feeling better).

The gameplay was very addictive, and I liked the ending too. The news headlines were very fun to read. Excellent game!

This was so addicting! I want to do another playthrough just to read the commentary, but SO well done!!

Wow! I really enjoyed this game!
Very addictive!

Well done! an enjoyable and well-made game. I thought the different building mechanics were a great improvement on the traditional clicker format, and integrated with the additional pointers well. it's definitely an idea that I think is good enough to support a longer game built outside the constraints of a mini-jam.

Good job, really nice game, very polished

Love it, you can read and feel how everything is going down, but you just want to multiply your money (nothing too far from some realities). The music helped a lot with what this game wanted to convey.

I love a good incremental game! This was a lot of fun to play, great job!

10/10 very addictive

Nice art style! GJ ☄️⭐

God, I hope you haven't lost your mind calculating this balance. 10/10

hahaha, oh man, I feel so seen. It was a major pain to get it feeling showable and I still feel that it needs more tuning.

I actually ended up building a separate simulator that runs outside of the unity game engine and plots the expected progression curve. A lot of up front work, but saved soooo much time on playtesting and ended up being pretty accurate.

Simply addictive and incredibly well made. Well done!

Just all around great work! I honestly gave my buddy crap for playing cookie clicker but after playing this I get the appeal. ☝️

What an incredible entry! All the game's aspects come together in full force to create a hectic and satisfying incremental game. Reading the flavor text for each new upgrade was a high point for me. Good job to all the team members!

Thanks so much homie! I put a lot of love into the writing, so I'm thrilled to hear someone enjoyed reading it!

I took a look at your past entries and, daaaaaaamn, you sure know how to churn out super polished games in lightning speed.  Mind if I ask-- Do you make games professionally? Or do you want to?

Submitted

I went to college to make games professionally, but at this point, I don't know if it's the right path for me. Maybe software engineering, if anything, but tech and games aren't the same as they were when I started college back in the day. Making hobby games like this is what really fuels my soul.

Wait am i evil?! lol Great submission, loved the micromanagement and the different buildings having different upgrades, towards the end i wasn’t ready many of the upgrades though i was just a clicking maniac filled with money clicking any and all upgrades that popped up lol. Frantic, Chaotic and quite frankly, shit was Getting out of hand.

Bravo!

Wow, thank you so much for playing to the end!!! Your games are always legendary in these jams, so it means a lot.

And yeah, you hit it right on the money; at some point your eyes glaze over, you lose the plot and just start greedily taking everything can can to recklessly grow without even thinking about the consequences-- just like a modern tech company amiright?

Submitted

Absolutely and how you managed to convey that not in thought but in actions perfectly sums up and greed and money make you overlook the important things.

Great submission.

..and thank you for your compliment <3

Excelent clicker game!

Submitted

Very nice clicker game, i think i dont remember somewhere else that you can buy other buildings, and decide to which one buy another "click finger", so really unique well done!!!

Fantastic game, so bloody addictive, well done.

Nice clicker game! The graphics are really good, the music is honestly magnificent, and the whole game feels smooth and fun to play. I really like clickers, so this was very much my type of game. Great job :)

Also, if each of you could rate my Mini Jam game individually, that would be really awesome and would help me a lot:

Cool concept. It’s addictive. And the visuals are pretty good, too, my friend.

Though I didn't quite catch the exact moment things "spin out of control." Does it mean the "hands" start doing everything for the player? Or does the whole situation just spiral out of control?

Interesting stuff.

Developer

Thanks for asking :D

As you play, the game gets completely chaotic as you manage 6 buildings at once. The news ticker will progress the story, depicting a world in which your robot hands have automated and collapsed the economic and political systems of the world, there's even an ending sequence which depicts a dead earth where all material resources have been allocated to building more Handy robots :)

Oh, wow. I see. Thanks a lot for the explanation.

I’m conflicted. You did a clicker that is innovative enough in its gameplay and approach to feel fresh, is fun, is interesting and addictive, and doesn’t fall into the “fully idle” trap… the gameplay is really excellent.

On the other end, you’ve produced a clicker (that is already about numbers going up, over-the-top capitalism and exploitation) with a consistent narration. That is being mainly pulled off by good game design and mechanics rather than pure production value. And yet you went with generative AI for your capsule, banner and some artistic assets? I can’t just ignore the irony of that decision ^.^”

Developer

Thanks so much for the review :D  really glad you enjoyed it overall, and I appreciate you sitting with the tension transparently instead of just reacting to it.

I definitely feel you on the irony, it's done with some intention on my end; it even gets called out a few times in the news tickers to lean into it, and I deliberately used lower-tier models for the capsule and banner to keep them a a bit uncanny.

Under that, it's also a resource call: I'm solo devving this and had only 24 hours. Half the challenge and practice of a jam has always been self-honesty about my resources; what's core and worth hand-building versus what I grab "mostly-fine" off the shelf and refine later if I have time. AI feels like an extension of that. I put my greatest allocation into the thing only I could do — the gameplay, the balance, listening and integrating feedback from playtesters — and as such some of the art got hand-crafted, but a lot had to stay as the AI placeholders, which I still put love into building.

Hopefully you can evaluate along those terms-- I did as much as I could by hand here and put in a lot of love into this game. Even the AI bits are the tip of the iceberg, you don't see the 30 attempts I didn't use, the retouching of artifacts, the recoloring/resizing to match palette and design bible, etc, etc.
