Such a neat idea!
I had a lot of fun with this! I did feel like the levels were a bit too large though. I think puzzle games usually thrive when levels look small and simple at first but are actually complex due to their small size. Since this game revolves around grid movement and space management, tighter levels would really make this game shine I think. Walking around the whole map just to get a bucket for instance was not challenging but a little tedious unfortunately.
That said, I absolutely loved the mechanics shift from pushing coal to pulling buckets, really nice twist. (Having an undo button is also fantastic). Background music would have made this game even better :)
Overall, fantastic entry. really fun! Good job!!
Very cute game and art style.
The gameplay is very responsive as well. Though, I didn't realize the "rock" that I push is charcoal, and that I have to press the action button to burn it.
Water that kills you when you get near is nice conceptually, but I think there should at least be an indicator of a danger zone. Maybe a different coloured tile around the water would do.
I really like the twist in the middle of the game. I felt like a murderer at the end.
I like the SFX, even though a simple music would help as well.
Pretty fun game I finished it. Wish it was harder.
I loved the game🔥💧, it was amazing! The puzzles were so nicely done, and the pull mechanic you added is just unbelievable. In my second game jam an year ago i had characters similar to yours and it made me feel nostalgic. . Btw, did we just kill our fire friend at the end? 😭
Very cool sokoban with a nice twist! Could use some music to complement the sound effects. Brilliant idea for the ending. I see a lot of potential for expanding the game.
Heartbreaking ending.
Nice sokobanning, and bonus points for having an undo! Could totally see future levels where you have to switch between Burny and Droppy, maybe to neutralize patches of water or lava by pushing big rocks in that the other one wouldn't be able to get close enough to do.
This was a really fun game! I like Sokoban puzzlers like this. The move from push to pull mid-way through was great (I personally liked the second half better, but both were fun). One thing I might have liked is more of an indication that not only are the hazards themselves dangerous, but also the tiles next to them. I also felt like it would have been nice to zoom out a little bit so that I could see more of the world and plan ahead, but that's minor. No music, and the sound effects were minimalist but nice. I like the art style; cool retro vibe!
I had a blast beating this game. Very solid jam entry. Nice work!
Really good game. The only feedback would be to not reset the whole level when a player dies, especially when playing as the water character because now you are moving backwards and it takes getting used to and is easy to make a mistake and die.
Nice game with a good level of difficulty! I had to stop a few times to think how to actually do the levels and that kept me playing more. Seems like we had a similar idea theme vise :)
classic sokoban with clever mechanics. need smart positioning and clever timing on when to light the charcoal. good game!
Great game! I love the sound effect when the fire lights up.
What a treat of a game, the visuals are adorable, and the game is really fun. Really reminds me of playing the old games that came bundled with windows/linux in the best way. Fun little game.
Cool game! I like the take on the theme. Water bucket being pulled broke my brain for a minute. Didn't know what todo. It had a nice approachable difficulty.
Surprisingly good! I love the little plot twist :D
