Sam & Jo's Animal Fair's itch.io pageHow does your game incorporate the theme?
The game is all about balancing... scales! Plus, you don't know the exact weights of the animals you're playing with, so you're gradually building a relative scale from level to level :)
What bonus challenges did you complete?
Mouse only
Symmetry
Did you use any sort of AI during the development of your submission?
No

Very fun idea!
Thanks, glad you tried and enjoyed it! :)
Wow this is impressively polished, and one of the best titles I've played so far. I have some comments, but honestly besides the first one these are all really minor.
Heya! Many thanks for your super interesting feedback - and glad you liked the game ;)
I completely agree with most of your points, and a lot of those were mostly because I didn't have the time during the game jam ^^ (in particular: yup the scale balancing animation is kinda weird and I'm frustrated too that the UI sometimes blocks "large" levels :D)
About the last level broken stat - I didn't run into this case but I'll admit I didn't have the time to stress-test this one as I much as I wanted, so you've probably hit a bizarre bug I missed; thanks for pointing it out, I'll try to see if I can fix this in the (near-ish) future ;)
Oh and I was actually wondering if in-game notes could be useful - interesting to see you thought about it as well, maybe this means this toold needs to be there...!
And on your last note about the future of the project: I honestly don't know how much work I'll put in this project now, I do feel like there could be some extra stuff with pre-placed unlocked animals, that you can therefore remove to completely rechange the balance... but other than that, it's true I don't see other big "reveals" in gameplay here :p
This is awesome! Sounds are on top, it really nice to try and deduce what weight every head has.
Great job!
Thank you so much! Very happy you enjoyed the game and liked the brain teasers ;)
(Haha yup had fun making all the sounds, it was a fun afternoon ^^)
This feels like a finished game, very polished! Thanks for your entry :D
Thank you so much! :) Super glad you liked it and find it nicely polished, I was happy to be able to get this far honestly ^^
Thank you and Kenney for organizing the jam!
very fun levels getting much harder!
Thanks, super glad you liked it! :) Haha yep I tried to ramp the difficulty to stress-test the system ^^
