Fun game! The rules were a little unclear though

Developer

Yo guys thanks so much for the 100 rates.

Good game, was slightly unclear how you put numerical words alphabetically and dragging npcs can be a bit buggy but otherwise, great!

Fun idea, hope you develop it further. Enjoyed the artwork, congrats on completing the game jam!

Although some of the word lists could have been a little more expanded, this was really fun! Good touch being able to move the characters around to properly read their rules. Some of the characters were pretty clever choices too. Nice job, this was a lot of fun to think through!

Fun idea! Reminds me of the password game.

I finished the game, but I think my pQ-Rule was bugged, I only had one p and Q for like 3 Bs :D

Very original concept, I got stuck at around the 8th rule but that's just me being really bad at this type of things ahahah. well done!

Developer

If it was the nature one, the possible words weren’t the biggest and didn’t include some common ones - don’t beat ya self up. Thanks for playing.

very unique game its hard but not that hard

Submitted(+1)

This is awesome!! It's like the password game haha. Pretty hard but I won :)

Developer

Congrats !

The music was really calming and the pixel art was charming. Kind of a fun head scratcher. There was some weird stuff like the overlap with the spacebar used for typing and closing the notepad that tripped me up for a minute, but overall it still was a fun time.

I like these sort of look for clue/riddle games and I spent wayy longer on this than I thought I would.

Developer

I found the target audience ! yeah the spacebar was an oversight in the control scheme design. Thanks for playing.

What do i do in the mole rule

Developer (1 edit)

number of p’s have to equal the number of Q’s and also the number of B’s. Made a small mistake in wording. #p == #Q && #Q== #B

Submitted

in the mole one not this one

Developer

Yo I meant to put that as a overall comment. So for the mole, it wants the count down, starting from 5 becuase it’s a count down itself, to go in Decending alphabetical order. Another comment got a deeper explanation. Good Luck.

and what about the numbers?

Developer

Numbers got lower priority over the letters. Ex: 5) zErba 4)house 3)apple 2)9ball 1) 2water

The countdown requests gave me a few laughs. Fun little idea! Had some trouble reading some of the requests but nice game.

I'd love your feedback on my game too!

Very cute idea for the jam, and the art style really sells the overall concept! It would be nice if you could see a list of all of the rules, as the characters can sometimes get bunched up making it hard to find out who's new

Submitted

Games concept is quite enjoyable and a fun puzzle. Some of the requests were a bit vague or confusing. The artstyle is really nice and I quite enjoyed seeing what the new characters were going to look like.

I really like this game. I got stuck on the nature word rule. I could only find 3 words that counted: tree, grass, and flower. I struggled with the magic word rule, too. The only one I could find was abra. I found from a comment that I could write pixie or fairy or magic but that didn’t help. I’d love to know how to get past the nature word rule as I really like games like this. My advice would be to expand the list of word options for those rules like the nature, magic, and duck ones. Also some of the wording was confusing. Does “include any booyah” mean I have to write booyah? are there other booyahs that aren’t booyah? lol

Great game I hope you update it so I can play more :)

Aye thanks. It was my oversight from the game jam deadline that I forgot to think of what others might put for magical words. In my mind, i'm talking magic like wizards and wands; however, more commonly people think please and thank you. Also I forgot to expand the nature word bank apart from my few debug words - which only are 7 - and these are not nearly enough for user freedom: I used tree in my solution but you could also use groot :). When I update after the jam I'll make a couple rules more clear.

I love the game! Great job!

It was a fun little puzzle getting all the words to work with the rules! Good job!

I like the idea, and it looks great, but I couldn't see some of the characters and their clues because of the notepad. If there was a way to hide it, it'd be much easier to manage!

Developer(+1)

Click space once again ! but you have to stop typing by clicking off the notepad or hitting enter for it to work. Hope you re visit!

Submitted

I will try again in that case, thanks!

Very fun game. Taking the password game and making it fit the theme is clever.
