Honestly...they looked better when I was done with 'em anyway!

This one was super creative! Played it all the way through to the end. It'd be interesting to know what metrics the game decides "fixes" them so I know how sloppy I'm allowed to be, lol. I was frantic and accidentally took one straight to the stage without even touching it up, and though I didn't lose because of it, that one will haunt me...

I'm always down for some Beethoven, too. Great work!

I really like the paintings, it's a good creative game. Maybe providing more explanation at the start would be helpful. Good job!

Well done game, I didn't understand at first that you have to put the painting on stage during the 3min. However I completed the game in my second try and it was pretty fun, some painting were easy to fix and other... I maybe made them worse than before LOL that was fun. The take on countdown to do it fast made me not really try to be an artist, and I am not so it was fortunate ! Great game overall :)

An original idea. Well done! I like the audio.

I have to try this with a display tablet and recreate at least one painting right!

I'd love to hear how that goes! Good luck, and thanks for playing!

I like the music and painting freely is fun. I played the tutorial but I couldn't figure out what the goal is

Developer

Glad you enjoyed the music and painting!

The tutorial is to go through the controls of the game with no time pressure. The real objective and count down is on the auction day!

Thank you for playing!

Finally, all my hours in meccha chameleon will pay off!

Very nice concept and it has been implemented very well. I am quite interested to know how you grade the counterfeits.

If you ever decide to build out the game more, a way to load custom images would be a lovely addition.

Developer

Haha, I hope you got a good final score from it!

Glad you enjoyed it! The counterfeits are compared pixel to pixel, with a threshold for colour similarity so it's not annoyingly strict!

I think I'm definitely interested in a full game! Current ideas are different painting mini games across a story, then a custom play to play them separately perhaps. I'll definitely look to support custom images! Watch this space!

Hey boss, I can’t figure out how to turn the camera, just wasd to move forward and strafe

Developer

Hey there! I'm sorry that you're running into issues. Usually clicking on the game window should capture the mouse, although failing that, enabling full screen and clicking usually solved any issues I've had reported previously during development. What browser are you using? I may be able to investigate further :)

Submitted

I’m on duckduckgo. Full screen and clicking isn’t solving it. May be just an itch html quirk?

Developer

I tried a fresh install of DuckDuckGo, and it seems to be behaving. Do you get any errors pertaining to "Pointer Lock" in the F12 / DevTools browsers console window?

Submitted

Not sure how to do that, or if it’s doable on Mac. tried googling and didn’t get results. I think we may just have to call it a day on this one

Developer

No worries at all! I appreciate you taking the time to help investigate with me. Hope you enjoy the rest of the Game Jam games!

You as well :)

This is awesome! It evoked the same feelings I had doing last minute fixes on my game 5 minutes before the jam ended. I was so caught up in fixing the paintings that I didn't realize I was supposed to bring them to the stage haha. I still had a lot of fun with this. Music really gives the feeling of working under stress. Great work!

Developer

Thank you for your feedback, and so glad you found it awesome!

It appears I cannot paint well under pressure, haha! But overall a decent game. The art work pieces were really nice. It took a minute for me to understand the different controls but once I got a hold of them it was enjoyable. Overall I wish I had more time and that I did not lose time when my painting was bad.

Developer

Glad you enjoyed the game, and thank you for playing! I'd love to add a more relaxed mode one day!
