Loved the idea and the puzzles! Also, the narrative was splendid as well as the artwork. Incredible job! You should definetely make it a full game after the jam! :D

btw, If you have a spare minute, I’d really appreciate it if you could check out my game and leave a rating too ☺️☺️: /jam/gmtk-jam-2026/rate/4818884

Fun game with great ragdoll physics! Hurling the Count through the air with the punch boxes were great. The starting cutscene was very well done

Really like what you’ve done with the color. Everything’s greyscale except the blood, so the only thing on screen with any color in it is the one thing you’re not meant to be comfortable looking at, the blood.

The ragdoll is the star though. The Count flops about like there’s no bones in him and you’ve clearly gone out of your way to kill him right in front of his own coffin.

And I see the Options button sitting there doing nothing but letting you know that option isn’t available :)

What was your favorite part of designing the game?

Developer(+1)

Thanks for playing! The decision to keep the Options button without any option was one of the many that I had to take during the last melancholic hours of the jam :D It's all a blur to me now

Oooh I have many favorite parts. The brain storming phase is the top. Especially if I'm making the game with someone (or someones) else. Apart from that the sound design is a fun part. Especially if I'm making and recording the sounds myself.
What about you?

Yeah I had a ton of fun brainstorming ideas, the shower thoughts, etc. quickly jotting them down and seeing which make the cut. I’ve still got a lot planned that I couldn’t achieve in the 4 days and some bugs to fix, so I’m working on a big patch now.

If you’ve got any ideas for improvements on Dawnfall, I’m all ears and perhaps fangs :)

Really impressive to have hand drawn cutscene alongside the solid art in the game

Developer

Thanks for noticing! I had so many dreams for the cutscenes but didn't have time to implement. If... only... just... one... more... day....

very cool game

Developer

Thanks for playing!

Your game was genuinely very creative! I played it all the way through and had a great time. It was engaging from start to finish, and I also loved the art style—it looked really beautiful.

I really hope you continue developing this game because I'd love to play the full version someday. Great job, and keep it up!

Developer

Thank you for playing. I have plans to have a post-vote update, making the bloodbags useful and also making the narrative part a bit stronger. Of course with more levels. Even without adding a new mechanic I think this setup still has potential for a few more levels.

Great idea, lovely artwork!

Developer

Thanks for playing!

Fun game! Difficult but fair. I love how much depth you were able to get out of a simple mechanic. Excited to see a more expanded version of this after the Jam!

Developer

Thanks for playing. Yeah we had a bunch of ideas for obstacles and tools like punch boxes. But We had to keep the scope small and milk as few ideas as possible to their full potential. I think there is even more room to add levels before introducing new tools or mechanics.

The difficulty is just right IMO, level 8 is certainly a difficulty spike but I would expect that for the finale :D

Developer

That's and interesting feedback, especially because I heard from a lot of people that level 7 is harder than level 8 :D

Thanks for playing

Love it!! Very difficult as it goes on, i feel like someimes the punch boxes dont work as expected. but other than that, everything is polished and very good :-) I would agree with your testers haha, it really IS difficult but it made it more enjoyable for me personally :D

Developer

Thanks for playing.

And I completely agree that the punch boxes take some getting used to. because they just apply an impulse while preserving the previous momentum of the Count's body. Basically they don't to much if the Count is already moving at a really high speed.

It's a very challenging game :)

But I liked it.

It feels like talented people worked on it.

It has music, graphics, physics, and pleasant sound effects, and everything comes together harmoniously.

Developer

Thanks for the feedback. It's especially valuable to me having played your amazing game.

Darn, I wish there was time to make bloodbags useful...

Really interesting game with nice visuals! The intro at the beginning was really nice but I'm not sure how it ties to the whole game. All in all, it's a really nice entry!

Keep up the good work!

Developer

I will definitely release a blood bag update once the voting is over. With more levels and more cutscenes to improve the narrative tie.

It is so simple but so incredibly fun. Well done

At some points (like level 8) it is a bit frustrating that the physics aren't deterministic but this nitpick is nothing compared to the fun presentation and gamplay you have put together

Developer

Very good point. That is a point of consideration for the future updates. I definitely wanted to fix it after the first play test, but some people starting to like the fact that you can't always trust things to play out 100% as the previous fall. I don't know yet if I'm gonna change it or not.

Thanks for playing and thanks for pointing it out

This game made me a pro at understanding physics, was not  expecting that, thank you

Developer(+1)

I had to relearn a bit of highschool physics too when making it :D thankfully Godot's built-in physics engine did much of the heavy lifting

such a joy to play!! amazing art and animation and the SFX were next level! someone please tell the Count to please live in a safer castle...\\?? who put all these stakes here!!

Developer(+1)

idk maybe vampires get so bored with eternal youth that they decide to lead unnecessarily dangerous lives :D

Thanks for playing
