I have a bad memory along with some attention issues so this was really hard, but I had so much fun that was great. I love the art above all, big fan of the dithering you got along those Inscryption vibes. I'd definitely buy a full game of this if it had some more narrative and/or gameplay elements <3
I didn't thought you could make a memory game interesting, but you did, congrats! I must find a way to expand my brain tho, it's too small right now :(
This game worked really well, congrats! Wonderful atmosphere created through every detail in graphics and sound, along the writing in the tutorial! The game itself is simple and challenging (great combination!), but the experience as a whole is top notch! My game favorite so far, after about a dozen played!
Very cool take on the theme, I did lots of mental math in school as a kid so it was fun to use that ability in a game. Could see myself downloading this on my phone and playing it to kill time. I do wish you got a life back when clearing the table. Otherwise, super cool.
Nice idea and art style, also fun to play! It took a little while to become stable when loading, and the sound was quite glitchy so I muted it (possibly issues with running in browser). I like the mechanic that you spend points to remove cards and this is how you progress to the next wave, nice job.
Genius interpretation of the theme. I like these hands look like ahapaha. Idk why i had sm strange sound, like its bugging or smth, not smooth, idk how to explain. How u did that squares on the screen, i thought its my computer pixels ;D
I loved the vibes and the sound side of the game! The game reminded me of the sorts of memory puzzles I'd play as a kid and found it very enjoyable :)
i pretty much echo what squirrelbaffler said. fantastic vibes! it's a strange game because i felt that the longer the round went, the easier it got. i got to wave 5 (i'm the second "megabrain" on the scoreboard but it didn't seem to save my name) and pretty much failed thrice in a row because i was off by one a couple times. selling cards makes it easier (though i agree with squirrel that sometimes it can make it harder by throwing your memorisation out of whack, but you have time to readjust and usually i have one card that i have difficulty remembering that i can just get rid of)
cool idea but i dont see it having legs past a game jam due to its simplicity. which, really, is a great thing! it means you scoped extremely well and you executed beautifully. great work
Hey! Nice to see you around here again from the last gmtk! We noticed too that the difficulty curve seems unnusual because it starts "hard" then it progresses to be easy again when suddenly it becomes even harder next wave, so much so that actually I had to edit my score on leaderboard just to see how it shows the megabrain text in game but forgot to fix it again, so technically you are the first to get the megabrain rank, nice job!
Good to see you again, maybe we'll meet again next year! gl!
Of course!!! It's amazing to see how much more you managed to get done this time around, also we both switched from 2D to 3D hahaha, sorry that I dropped a wall of text on you again xD good to know i was first to 5 waves B)
see you again next year for sure!
Excellent vibes - the Inscryption inspiration is clear, and you really hit the tone! The gameplay worked quite well, unlike some other card games I've played in this jam. Switching between dialogue and gameplay frequently caused a stutter, not sure where that's coming from, but overall the game worked smoothly. I'm not a big memory game fan, and there's not much in the way of plot, so this game clearly isn't for me - but I found the "selling cards" mechanic to break my hold on where the cards were, more than any of the "effects". Only other "bug" I found was that longer dialogue would fade out on the end of the line. This is great work on a game that isn't my thing!
I am a huge sucker for the weird creepy guy behind the table genre (inscryption, buckshot). But this game hits regardless. Cards sound so good, atmosphere is great, and genuinely the game is very fun and challenging, also has an actual tutorial which i feel like is impressive for a jam.
This is very well done, I like the way you used the theme and the artstyle was amazing. (The music also fit well)
Thanks for rating our game! Yours is really impressive, left a comment there too, amazing work!
lovely simple number game. Had a good time on that one
