THANK YOU for having an ingame tutorial instead of a wall of text! You were even teaching mechanics after the game ended lol. Great job!

Hey, thanks for checking out our game! I really enjoyed your game, the art was really cool, sfx were nice, and the controls were really smooth. I really enjoyed the speed run aesthetic as well and actually was thinking it would be a cool idea, and then once I saw the end screen of the first level I knew it was going to be a fun ride!
Great work! Loved the movement in this and the take on the theme fit very well :D
I loved it! I love the fact that there is several path to a level. Great job!
It shows that you spent a lot of time refining the movement and the animations, moving around just felt good. The different routes in level two was cool too. Good work.
Whew that's a tight timer! The schmoovement at the end feels great, and I went back and played with controller after realizing it was an option, which was way better. For more schmoovement capabilities, I'd love full analog dash direction, but the game feels pretty great as is. I'm still a little unclear about when the dash timer resets, but playing with that could open up some very interesting levels!
Damn that was fun! The mechanics are simple, but fun and the levels are really well designed, I am craving for more!
VERY fun!! i typically dislike platformers, but this was very enjoyable. i would play a full game like this. level design is phenomenal, though i dont love the sound effects, and the lack of music can negatively impact UX. animations are very smooth and clean, though a lot of the time dashing into enemies doesnt feel as satisfying/enjoyable/'juicy' as i feel it could be. very polished otherwise, but i think there is room to improve on juice. with all that said, i loved this submission!
It's like Katana Zero with the dash from Celeste. Dashing through enemies to kill them is very satisfying.
One thing I notice however, is that sometimes the momentum from one dash would cause you to hit another enemy. Perhaps resetting the dash cooldown or adding iframe after you kill an enemy would make for a tighter control.
But this is really fun. The last level is hard but I was able to beat it after a few tries.
Incredible pixel art style and animations, the dash felt awesome. It took me a couple of times to get through the first level ahha, but I couldn't stop playing, so great job!
oh wow, this is pure greatness. (i love Japanese stuff though)
especially the player feedback sells it
appreciate that you took the time to make a tutorial
small nits:
- J to dash felt weird to me, maybe something like shift
- sometimes it was unclear where i could jump to and where not
Great art and great mechanic. Love games with dashes and new ways to use them!
Enjoyable little game, I wish more levels were able to be finished in time because I could see this game becoming a fun speedrun optimization game, especially with the main dash mechanic creating a fun balance between going as fast as possible and not losing all your time. I appreciated the level design allowing for multiple routes through the level along with little tweaks to optimize your movement along the way. Movement was satisfying, the art style was cohesive.
I want to give a particular shout out to implementing control rebinding, this might be the first jam game I've played that's added it and it really improved my experience getting to pick a control scheme I'm familiar with
Fun game! The concept is really cool, I just wish there were more levels.
