This is just awesome!! the puzzles are very well designed and the art and audio are lovely. An undo button could've been useful, but that doesn't stop it from being such a good submission. Keep it up!
This game makes me want to have parallel thoughts
Very cool turn-based puzzle platformer??? It made sense once I started playing :D I love the artstyle too, great game !!
Nice music! Grea idea of gameplay!
This is a very well done puzzler, nice work! The grid based movement feels quite good, after I got a handle on how actions happen on each tick. The music and artwork adds to that experience even further! Juggling actions between the timers was a really unique experience from what I've played in the jam. Great stuff!
I would have liked an undo to help wind back, since I'd often make off-by-one errors and need to reset.
Really nice work! You had some pretty clever puzzles in there. Being able to slot in moves definitely made it feel interesting and it gets me wondering what additional puzzles could be made from that. It mostly felt pretty good, but I found how the enemies on the ladder in the last level behaved a little different than I expected.
Overall a great entry!
This is really great, and everything is done nicely. Tbh, i would really like if the level would instantly restarted everytime player dies
Really cool take on the theme and a great artstyle! You did a great job with this!
Great concept! The only thing I didn't get is that enemies won't hurt you if you step on the same tile at the same time, and the last level heavily relies on that. Also the first level could explain main mechanics better, at least that actions are executed on the clock - had to figure that out on myself. Everything else is super fun, worth pushing further as a full game :)
Thanks for the feedback! In retrospect, we spent some time on content that we didn't add and we should have allocated that time in the core features, but hey, that's part of the learning process! We're glad you enjoyed the game overall!
Unfortunately that's a bug you're describing, but we're glad you had fun anyways!
Very cool! If you have time you should rate my game too!
Very interesting core gameplay loop! Once you understand how the games physics work and its systems, it makes for a great puzzle game! I think my only suggestion would be to also allow the arrow keys to move the player instead of only just WASD. Though the art style is great, UI once explained made logical sense, and the in-game play as you go tutorial was really well done!
Ok so when are you releasing an expancion with more modules and vania-style map? huh? HUH?
One little feedback: Some more signaling on when the action of the modules land on the clock would be very helpful for players like me that need a visual queue on their turn based action planning <3
We actually did have more modules planned, like a power toggle and gravity flip module, but we had to cut them out unfortunately. And we also wanted to add more visual and audio feedback for when the timers went off but yet again time got the best of us 😓
Thank you for playing!
I really like the art for it! good idea too
Really slick idea and super nice art to go with it! I like the variety of some move choices being locked in vs having the freedom to move them around. Very easy to control and understand with a few tight puzzles. I could see this expanding into quite a few more ideas a levels. Great job!!!
Such a creative and well executed game, great music too!
The idea is one of the most creative I have seen in this jam, the art is soo good and the movemt is really well done. Congrats!!
Great idea for a game! I was going to say I haven’t ever seen a turn based platformer before, except I realized that technically there’s a level in Baba Is You that acts like a turn based platformer. But still, very original idea and nice simple levels.
The pixel art is A1 and the soundtrack fits the vibe so well! Counting down to when you can use your module movement is pretty cool, though it took me a bit of guess-and-check to figure that out. Looking forward to playing more levels!
Great job on your submission! I really loved the pixel art. The graphics are beautiful, and every part of the game looks carefully crafted. I also really liked your creative interpretation of the jam theme. The whole game comes together really well. Congrats on the great work!
Slotting actions in the timers is such a neat idea ! I especially liked Drunken Sniper (floor 3), inside which the slotted-in actions make you move extra steps (so you have to line up to press the switch at the right time)
The audio and the art compliment eachother perfectly, the levels are satisfying to beat (though the last had some collision issues, i ended up having to clip through the green enemies on the last two ladders) and after finishing the game i just felt like i wanted to see more of it !
I liked it a lot !
(another "like clockwork" twin to add to the list of my rated games, there's so many of us xD )
