How does your game fit the theme?
The entire game is a race against an everlasting countdown timer. The countdown also doubles as currency which can be spent on various game advantages.

This game is so fun I really liked the background art! The eye blinking was such a fine detail to add! Also, the suits are misaligned on the green background which really triggers my ocd.
Interesting idea and done well.
Very nice and suitable music.
Post jam expanded version?
I really like the concept of using your timer as currency for the game. I think that's a really clever mechanic, and the constant pressure to balance getting upgrades vs keeping your time up is pretty interesting from a decision space standpoint.
great game would love to see some sort of customization to the cards or background, would definitely make the game more fun, even though it already is
Making assets in 4 days is definitely tough! Will keep this feedback in mind!
Even though it is inspired by a card game, it has by far been one of my favourites to play and is highly addictive than any other card game I've played. Creativity wise, I love how the gameplay complements the story. To elaborate, I appreciate how the pressure from the timer isn't just to increase the game's difficulty but it places you in the perspective of an AI under evaluation throughout. The visuals are highly appealing and sets itself apart from any other. The soundtrack is what ultimately ties the whole game together (at least for me) and creates a very enjoyable and immersive atmosphere. Keep up the good work!
This was so addicting, I really got sucked in and took me ages to realise I'd been playing for almost 30 minutes already! Love it, great job!
Pretty fun game and love the aesthetics. The pressure mounts up as you play!
I see card games, I hit like.
We have been inspired by Balatro a lot! ;)
Pretty fun game, though I still need a lot of practice with it hahahah good job!
Nice game.
Maybe I missed it but I feel like it would be snappier if I could use the keyboard to redraw cards.
We made really similar games!
This was tough! One of my faves so far in the jam. I did ultimately die with 4 cards in hand which couldn't be played and the piles weren't swapping for some reason which felt a little bad. The powers seem cool too!
Well done overall.
Just like the comments, I also found myself stuck at times where I could only play one card or draw one card, or even couldn't play any at all.. But when I was able to fire in a burst, I felt a sense of joy.
Really fun roguelike! It felt really good to get a good combo and keep it for a while. I wonder how the game would be different with 3 piles or more cards in your hand. Sometimes it feels bad when you get a lot of the same card in your hand, and every refresh of the piles only allows you to play 1 card and take 1 card. Overall though I could definitely play this game for a while, really great submission!
You can already find extra hand size and extra piles in the game! They may appear after every boss round. Thank you for your kind words and feedback!
Oh no way i didnt realize, I'll have to go back and play some more :)
Lots of fun to play. Really liked the combo system, it felt so good when you managed to clear a hand or even multiple in a row. It was fast paced, yet somehow still felt relaxing. Great submission!
Good stuff! I like the speeding up of the combo drop, I also like the combo system in general. I felt I was raodblocked a few times and had nothing, meaning my combo would die regardless of what I did, but was always able to keep it above x2. Got up to x10
We love the combo system just as much as you do! Funny dev story: one of us bet, shall we say, a non-trivial amount of money that one of our friends couldn't reach a combo of 40 or higher on the first boss round. It didn't take long before our friend won the bet...it is possible!
That is wild... x10 took me a hot second to hit, I cant image 40
Quite polished. Dopamine was running high lol
Very nice game. had a lot of fun playing it. nice twist on the classic game.
Super polished and fun. Great job!
I really enjoyed this. It's super satisfying and I think you have a lot of potential here. I didn't care for the black box mechanic as I'm terrible at memorization but overall this is such a solid little game. Well done!
Great game! Loved it!
really fun
