What a creative wee game! I will confess that I didn't quite understand what I needed to do at first, but after some experimentation I figured it out. I really enjoyed the aesthetic as well!
I don't know if it was just me, but I did experience a distracting crackly-ness in the audio, almost like it was bugging out, throughout my playthrough. But perhaps that was an intentional aesthetic (audio-aesthetic?) choice?
