How does your game fit the theme?
My game is about an elevator operator who controls an elevator that can only go down. The floors count down as you operate the elevator!

Fun idea! The art is nice and I like the mechanic and story. Well, I think the distance between the wheel and the ladder are too big, and I wished there was a short visual tutorial, but overall a neat idea, and well-made! Congratulations for submitting :)

really cool for a first game! it kinda felt like i was failing all the time with everyone taking the stairs? very strange system

Developer

you can’t pick up everyone, it’s about timing your elevator rides and grabbing the right passengers

Great game, love the idea lol

This game is great! Really nice SFXs and love the take on the theme, the controls are also pretty smooth, made 100 on the second try XD, really enjoyable, appreciated!

This one is nice. Tbh, the lack of tutorial really made me spinning my head (My dumb ahh miss the tutorial). but overall its great

Developer

did you click the tutorial button in the menu?

Oh, its seems like i missed it. I just go clock in right after load the game, my fault

Amazing game man! If that is your FIRST game, I am excited about what you can do next! Really nice and polished art and sound!

Sound and art were really good. Really silly that your dude has to climb the fire escape 50 times a day, absolutely love it

One of the games I’ve enjoyed the most so far. Quite polished. No bugs. Really good. I would make the ladder collider a bit bigger, I’ve pressed the space bar next to it and it would detect it and it felt bad. Other than that, excellent entry!

Cool game.  I really liked the artwork.  Sound effects were good too.

Why did you make it so the lift has to go right to the top?  You should be able to choose where you stop, so you can pick your customers.

Developer(+1)

I would have added that if I had a bit more time. Although I think the way it is right now adds to the sense of urgency. There's an argument to be made for both versions I think.

Wow, very good for your first game! 😎
I didn't make it to $100, though. I reached $70 a couple times.

I thought some of the controls were  a little hard to remember. I had to check the help screen a few times.
I mostly got the hang of it eventually but I still keep trying to use the up arrow to climb the stairs. haha

The guy with the blue pants, white t-shirt, and flat-top hair reminded me of Hank Hill.  "That boy ain't right!   🤣 🤣

Developer(+1)

thanks a lot! and I totally see hank hill hahaha

90 was my highest score.

The fact that you have to go to the top floor makes it so that you can't strategies or prioritize the rich people.

And I think the timers are too fast as well.

Its a fun concept

Well-designed gameplay loop overall, I'd say! I loved the extra layer of picking out targets that would tip more, that's a genius addition. My only gripe is that the elevator having to be cranked to the absolute top every time removes a bit of strategy from the game. Nice, complete package!

Developer

thanks! I agree with you, if I had more time being able to stop a certain floor is the next thing I would've implemented

Interesting take on the theme ! I had trouble understanding the logic at first, but when I got it it was actually easy to pick up. Maybe not my favorite control mapping just. Art is cool, concept is fun, good job !

Really fun game! Especially for a first jam it's super impressive! Great work.

A really great concept, the music was also on point, overall a fun experience. Good job!

I enjoyed your game. Its kinda funny that to get the reward you have to only grab the people who will tip you well. The sound design of the music and elevator was really relaxing and got me in the flow. I do wish for a bit of strategical options like not having to raise the elevator all the way to the top every time. Great job!

Great concept, great execution. Lovely simple game, I had plenty of fun trying to get the special prize

Really good job! Feels a bit repetitive after a while and I wish things were adjusted like these people got 0 patience LOL. Nice Job!

Great job on your first game jam! The art looks good and the game play is solid. Something I would improve in the future are the controls. I do like that you have E to interact, but if your using S to move down, then W (or E and W) should also move the elevator up. Overall great work :)

Developer

the whole point is that the elevator only goes down. hence, count DOWN.... thanks for playing!

ah, gotcha!  Either way, great game

Developer

thank you!

A really great concept and a satisfying game loop. I like the aesthetic; it reminds me of Sim Tower.

A full-screen button for the web build would have been good.

Developer (1 edit)

I just added the fullscreen button! I didn't see the option at first. Thanks for playing.
