That's a very interesting game, and super polished one :D

Developer

Thanks a ton for the kind words! I appreciate it!

I love paying my 10,000 gold debt

Developer

Woo DEBT! Yeah, it was loose on the theme, but it made for a game that I am unfortunately very addicted to now. haha

Submitted(+1)

I LOVE GAMBLING in video games ofc. LOVE IT <3

Developer

I don't want it to read as a gambling game, more of an RPG with the coin pusher as the main feature, but it's a fair comment! haha.
I just love coin pusher games myself and it was a concept that I wanted to try. Glad you enjoyed it!

Its so cool bro, i loved the art and also gamepage with it characters looks really good! You did a great job <3

Developer(+1)

Thanks so much for the kind words and for playing my game! I really appreciate it a ton!

A very ambitious coin pusher game with a fun fantasy setting and an impressive amount of content. There are many characters, abilities, equipment options, enemy mechanics, and different types of coins, each affecting the game in its own way.

At the same time, the amount of information made the game quite difficult to understand at first. Since I am not very familiar with this genre and English is not my native language, I struggled to keep track of how everything worked. Because of that, I mostly filled the board with coins and used only a few basic abilities instead of developing a proper strategy.

I think the mechanics would be easier to appreciate if they were introduced more gradually, perhaps through a simpler first level before adding the full variety of systems.

Overall, I like the fantasy setting and the core coin pusher idea, and it is impressive how much content you managed to include. The main issue for me was simply the high barrier to entry.

Developer(+1)

The information dump will be reworked into a more drawn out tutorial over a few floors on the first run to make it easier to take in the information. Currently, it just dumps it all at the player and causes them to not pay attention to it at all.

Thanks for the write up and very well thought out comment. Thanks for playing my game and I will for sure fix the issues that you and many other people seemed to have! I appreciate the feedback a lot!

Submitted(+1)

The game is very cool! It's really impressive that you managed to create such an interesting concept while making the game feel so polished and complete. The tutorial was a bit too hard at the beginning, but I saw that you already mentioned it in the description. Awesome entry, congrats on the submission!

Developer(+1)

Yeah, the main system was easy enough to get completed in Godot with the Rigid2D body (the coin pusher system), then it was just building each feature on top of it! Surprisingly had little issues throughout the time of the Jam and it made things just breeze by. Yeah, the tutorial needs to huge overhaul. It's a huge information dumb at the moment and causes people to be confused.

Thanks for the kind words and I'm glad you enjoyed the game!

I'm a sucker for coin pusher/coin dozer games, so this is right up my alley. The combiniation between RPG mechanics, coin pusher and roguelite works so harmoniously with each other. Perfect game to kick back and relax to!

Developer

I'm glad you enjoyed the concept. I happened to be playing a very one dimensional coin pusher game on my phone when I came up with the concept because I wanted to know what something like this type of game would even look like or if it could exist and I've made it! Thanks for playing my game and stay tuned for more updates in the future! (and maybe a Steam release because the feedback has been almost nothing but positive, so it might land there!)
Thanks for the comment, I appreciate it!

Submitted(+1)

Wow, that was more complex than I was expecting! Very interesting concept, but there was maybe too much to explain at the very beginning. The sound design was very satisfying though!

Developer(+1)

Yeah, the games tutorial is very heavy handed currently, the next build after the jam will have an actual tutorial progression and introduce concepts a bit more slowly as you progress. Currently, it is very wordy. I need to bring that down a bit. Thanks for the comment and kind words. I really appreciate it!

Submitted(+1)

This is awesome and incredible it should be a demo on steam not a jamgame lol

Developer

Thanks that is a very nice comment! After the jam, a Steam release will probably happen! The amount of positive feedback has been something I was not expecting at all. I really appreciate the kind words, thank you so much!

This game is huge and I love it. Not sure how you managed to pack so much into a jam game, nonetheless playtest it, but it's so much fun. I easily spent an hour on my first run and only died to the final boss on floor 20.

Developer(+1)

I'm glad you enjoyed it! It is easy to get sucked into a long run. Sorry you died on the last boss! The difficulty scaling on the bosses can be tricky. Thanks for leaving a comment and I hope you come back when I do an update soon after the jam!!

Submitted(+1)

The art and the gameplay is great the audio is great too. I have some smol feedbacks on UI not much but yeah. Consider seperating the floor UI and the currency UI. Properly make the inventory the inventory a little bit big. Else all the overall things are very great. Sorry for not commenting earlier as I had reached my rate limit. I really like to see what you expand upon this game in future. All the Best

Developer

Thanks for the great feedback! It's very much appreciated. And no worries on not commenting sooner! I'm glad you enjoyed it overall. Thanks for the comment.

It's the first time I've seen such a convenient and informatively detailed training here, it's a rarity for jam, I liked it, it's super chilly and cool!

Developer

Appreciate it! I have some people saying it's a bit too much, which is fair. I will probably create a guided tutorial of 5 floors on the first adventure to introduce concepts slowly. Glad you enjoyed it! Thanks for the comment.

Really nice game, I lost but I see I could progress, can be addicting without the punishment of the real physical thing.

The only thing that surprised me is the boss being a lot difficult than the rest. But hey, need some challenge.

Developer

Yeah, the bosses if they roll with a harder Affix can easily end a run if you're not paying too much attention! I'm glad you enjoyed it. Thanks for playing the game!

Submitted(+1)

I really like this game, died at the final boss, but hey really nice concept of fighting, I really enjoyed it

Developer(+1)

I'm glad you liked it! It looks like you might have died on floor 10 there! I'm glad you enjoyed it over all. Thanks for playing and leaving a comment!

very addicting game loop, i love everything about it a LOT

Developer(+1)

Yeah, I got sucked into it a bit too much while making it! It really made me lose an hour or two just playing it over and over and getting lost in it. I'm glad you like it. Thanks for the kind words. I really appreciate it!

Submitted(+1)

i get the feeling a lot xD it's the best thing ever when you enjoy what you made ngl

Submitted(+1)

The visuals drew me in right away, but the creative gameplay is what really stood out. It feels polished, original, and makes excellent use of the game jam theme from start to finish!!

Developer

I'm glad you liked the visuals and gameplay! I appreciate that you think it's original and polished. I feel like it needs more polishing, but I'm currently working on that. Thanks for the kind words. I appreciate the feedback!

Submitted(+1)

Pretty neat. Amazing amount of functionality. The back and forth of the pusher and the music makes it fun and relaxing. Well done

Developer

Thanks a ton for the comment! I wanted it to be a more chill game than other things I thought might be submitted. I went far from the theme, but I feel like it fits nicely without making the player feel rushed, or at least I hope so. haha

Submitted(+1)

OMGGGGG How did you make this game within 4 days? I really enjoy it. I tried all of the characters available so far, if you have an after- jam update for the game, I'm down to play it. Also, I saw the "Redeem code" option, is there any code available for me to redeem :)). Anyway nice game, good job!! <3

Developer (1 edit)

gmtk2026 is the code ;) You're the first to ask about it!! I completely forgot to add it anywhere. Mistake on my part. I made it to get a bit of gems for character unlocks or equipment to make it easier for the people rating within the jam.
Thanks so much for the comment and very nice words! I will absolutely be developing further and have already started. The first major update will be skill effects and instead of skills being wordy, they will have icons and the same hover information. I want the game to feel less wordy overall if I can help it.

Submitted(+1)

This is actually such a well-made game! You guys made so much content in the time we had wow. I've only played the knight, but I'll have to show this to friends and probably come back to play more.

Developer

Thanks! There is less content than it seems actually, I just happened to think up ideas to reuse the concept of the coin pusher and things worked out well making a few different game modes and it giving the illusion of more content even though it's a repeated concept!

Hope your friends enjoy it as well and hope you get the chance to play more. I feel like I should have had all of the characters unlocked for the jam as each one has it's own set of skills with one shared skill across all heroes.

Thanks again for the comment, it's greatly appreciated!

love to see that you plan to continue developing!! super impressive what you were able to do in such a short amount of time. excellent game!!!!

Developer

Thanks and absolutely plan on expanding this and improving the gameplay. I'm glad you enjoyed the game!
Thanks for leaving a review, I really appreciate it.
