The exploration was so cool! Knowing there's more out there, but not being able to reach out far enough and see it. At the end of my run I set out for the final unexplored marker to the north-east. Having it unexpectedly show up on the mini-map was so daunting! Felt like I was a real space explorer uncovering a cosmic horror. I think there's a lot you can do with this concept.

Fun game! I spent more time playing through this one than probably any other jam entry so far, put like a half hour or more into playing through it. The way things scaled over time so you kept wanting to explore more but needed to collect the resources to allow you to be able to do so was well executed. I wish there had been some kind of a upgrade that magnetized resources so they pulled toward you or something, once I started upgrading acceleration and speed the ship became a bit unwieldy and grabbing resources became more challenging.

Spoilers

I actually ended up flying to the north-east quadrant, great job putting in early hints about it to persuade me into actually checking it out. I went out of my way to get every upgrade only to get sucked into the black hole with no escape. :p I’m curious, is there anything else up there, or is it just a troll?

Hey, thanks for playing and for the feedback, that's a good point and something we will look into!

Developer
spoiler Nothing really but the extra Black hole. But was not really meant as a troll but more like and end goal thing that could perhaps be a cool moment as well as an Easter Egg. But makes a lot of sense that it also turns into a troll though once you have spent enough time building your ship :)

I like the progression getting to explore out farther and farther each run, well done!

This game really made me feel like I was discovering new planets :)

It has a really nice pace. Every upgrade lets you push a little farther, and that always makes you want to see what's waiting next. At the same time, the soundtrack gives you this feeling of loneliness, like it's just you and your little ship drifting through an endless, empty universe.

The controls also feel really good. At first I didn't understand why boosting all the time was draining my fuel so quickly, but then I realized I had to be much more careful with it.

A really enjoyable game with its own unique atmosphere. It captures the feeling of endless space really well. Great job!

I played for quite a while, and it was really satisfying whenever I managed to calculate a planet’s gravity just right and collect all of its resources in a single maneuver by flying all the way around it.

The most atmospheric moment for me was when, after about 15 minutes of preparation and upgrades, I decided to try flying to the northeastern point. I felt like I had been flying for a couple of minutes, but it wasn’t getting any closer. At that point, I wouldn’t have been able to make it back, so all I could do was hope there would be something waiting for me at the end. I didn’t make it, but it was still a really cool moment.

Developer

Ah sorry you didn't make it all the way but sounds great that it still gave you a cool moment! Thanks for playing!

it's good but I found grabbing resources from the large planets to be more difficult than it's worth, would have liked to have a magnet or something to help grab resources there or an upgrade to make flying in planets easier

visited every planet, even the far top right one... hoo boy

Developer(+2)

Yeah, did find that as well when playtesting, definitely something to fix as bigger planets should be worth it!

Thanks for playing and the feedback, glad you were able to explore the north-east quardrant as well ;)

Very nice, it feels so lonely and vast in a good way

This was cool! I played it for a good bit. I like atmosphere and art. It feels like a super chill game. The music gives me FTL vibes which is really great. I think the speed upgrades actually make it a little more difficult to collect resources. I wonder if it would be good to have a key that you can hold to reduce your speed and acceleration back to the starting stats just to make collection easier. I like the feeling of being able to venture out into deeper and deeper space.

Well done!

Developer

Absolutely, a good idea. Thanks for the feedback! :)

Loved the gravity! Really felt good to fling your ship around.

Fun game! Wish there were more built-in incentives to explore further from the colony. Felt optimal to just pick up everything on the three closest planets and repeat the process. Decided to mostly do that and then beeline to the north east, up to "Saturn"

Developer

Yep, very good point, thanks for the feedback!

Happy to hear you actually tried to go all the way north east ;)

I'm in love with the gravity mechanic. Also such a great way to get a rich narrative with minimal dialogue. Keep your colony alive with resources and oxygen!

Very cool idea, the gravity in the planets make flying the spaceship much more chalenging and engaging

Submitted(+1)

those planets sure got some gravity.  its fun! i would say the controls are a little hard even with the upgrades, i would love to see an upgrade early on to give a halt function or an increase to handling and prehaps mix up the planets positions everyday to avoid a daily rotuine

Fantastic concept and really well built.
Loved the gravity mechanic and being able to slingshot around planets, was very satisfying when everything lined up perfectly.
Only thing I would change is a to add some randomness to the item spawn locations, I ended up doing the same route around the first three planets a lot of the time.
Brilliant work, well done!

Its so gooddd!!!

Really cool idea! I wish to buy it on Steam one day.

Developer

We'll remember that! ;) haha but thanks a lot

My favorite type of games! Enjoyed a lot and see a lot of potential in this game! Definitely I will revisit it also later!

Developer

Thank you so much! We're excited to see what we could do with it further

Submitted(+1)

Wow! This might be my favourite entry so far! :D Its nicely polished and plays like an actual non-jam game. The orbit mechanics are super exciting when you can just drift around a planet and collect the resources in one go. Big congrats on this one!

Developer

Thank you so much for the kind feedback! Yep we had a lot of fun ourselves with the orbiting and trying to "slingshot" to grab the resources all in one swoop :D

Great game! I really like the pixel art and the gameplay. The music helps me relax :)

Developer

Thank you for the kind words :) it was our first time to try pixel art at such a large scale

Submitted(+2)

Cool, we both were on that O₂ wavelength!

The minimap definitely is a nice touch when dealing with big stretches of space, it really lets you consider a flight at just a glance. Also the art reminded me of aesthetics found on Amiga PC games, neat :3

Developer(+2)

Haha yeah, there's a few of us in this jam!

Glad you liked it, thanks for playing :)
