How does your game fit the theme?
The lifes of the main character are constantly falling and are like a timer counting down how much time is left

It has good platformer mechanics, but it really lacks an on-screen timer.
Great art style overall, and I enjoyed your take on the theme. The 30 seconds to reset was a little too harsh for me, but I don't tend to play platformers, so take that with a grain of salt. The melancholy music was an excellent fit and really sold the narrative. I liked how the extra movement abilities had to be collected and unlocked, although I did spend the first couple of minutes trying to dash and simply thought it was broken at first, rather than intentionally disabled to start with. Overall, a great job!
the wall of text before the game feels a bit too much, and it would be helpful to indicate how much time is left
The game feels smooth to play, I found that one of the warps send you to the wrong area (area with treasure chest) and you have to manually reset.
Man, I absolutely LOVED the character mechanics, so fun to control and speedrun through the game!
The character was fun to control and it was definitly a challenge. I would say some parts I wasnt sure if i could get to just cause if i was bad or i needed another ability. There was one gap where when i got the double jump i was super close every time and couldnt tell if i needed another powerup to get past. Overall though the movement felt really good and i enjoyed the wall jumping it felt smooth.
Great job! Really like the overall look and the powerups. Very fluid and intuitive to use!
It was fun seeing more areas open up as I acquired new techniques. I particularly enjoyed the dash movement—the fact that there was no cooldown meant I could just keep moving quickly, which felt great.
I was honestly surprised how fun it was as a nice little metroidvania, until I entered a door and got softlocked because I died in that door
On a similar note, I do agree with the other comments that there should be a visible timer
Great game! my only complaint is that there is no visible timer
Not a fan of forced spreading the key movement controls between keyboard and the mouse. But the game itself is pretty fun and the character feels really nice to control.
Actually super fun, this one made me feel the time pressure more than any other game ive played so far. Spamming dashed to get around was fun and that top right room was no joke challenge wise, im guessing its a speedrunning thing where you can take the harder route if you dont want to or cant find the keys
Fun Idea, but I wish there was some feedback on the time you have left. I have to admit that I didn't read the description, so I was very confused when I first randomly died. I did eventually figure it was just time based, but there should be some sort of indication, even if it's just a ticking sound starting in the final seconds
Fun. I like the idea of a mini metroidvania, but it is really frustrating to finally get past a tough platforming spot just to get sent back to start.
The story is a good idea! Having the countdown visualized would be great. I think I'm bad at this game :(
The game was very enjoyable. I liked the feeling of the character a lot.
For me the three biggest issues:
- The time running out was very not intuitive (I think the story at the start mentioned something about it, but I missed it, and then was clueless for a lot of deaths why am I dying randomly). A time counter, hourglass, or other visual indication of the time running out would’ve been great.
- The controls. I would’ve loved the dash to be also on the keyboard, not the mouse. This was very unintuitive.
- The spike collision boxes could’ve been smaller imo.
Regardless, great game. Loved the feeling of the platformer. The character felt super responsive, the dash was very satisfying. Great work!
