great camera work!
The game looks amazing and I did not expect to see a boss fight! Character movements felt a bit hard and janky but overall a great game!
Really smooth and tight game. Good job!
Wow, this looks very impressive for you working on this solo!
Here’s my two cents though:
But either way, it looks impressive and can definitely be improved a lot to make it a much better experience, so I sure hope you continue this post-jam, as you have a good game full of potential on your hands!
Thank you so much for a very detailed, thoughtful feedback. I understand and agree with all of them. This is extremely helpful as I move on to expand this game, thanks a lot!!!!
great game for a gamejam! i love the blue theme
Really neat game! I like the player model and the environments. The controls felt a bit slow at times, mainly when it came to platforming, but playing on web might be to blame. The boss was really well telegraphed and fun to fight! Oh also I LOVE that sprint is a toggle! I always find it annoying when there's a sprint button that I just have to hold for 95% of the game.
Im amazed all this ran in browser haha. Very fun game, the movement could have used some more polish though. I would have nailed movement before really adding any art as impressive as it is that you got that much art in.
thank you for playing. Movement will be my focus for a while as I continue to develop this game!
Making a game like this in 4 days is qute impressive! Nice job.
thanks!!
the momvent is nice like other people had said but for me when i was pressing shift and moving directions i had to let go of shift and press it down agian to keep running
(i dont know if it my computer or the game)
The music could do with some improvments tho we all start from somwhere.
But for what the game is and since it been made in 4 days its very impressive keep up the good work!
The sprinting might be the worst mistake I made, I coded it as a toggle on/off. Anyways, thanks a lot for playing and for the feedback.
nice fluid movement, the combat is little too precise at the moment (attacks would only semm to land if I aimed directly at the enemies, not have the swords pass through them), but all in all great job for a 4 day jam.
Thanks for the feedback, I did not spend too much time on hitboxes... I will definitely work on it later.
the movement is quite nice despite how weird it can feel at times
i really like the artstyle & animations you went for
the combat isn't really souls-like in anything more than the looks (not necessarily a bad thing)
and very beautiful ending.. i cry.....
Im glad you liked the ending. I king of rushed it and wanted to make it better but oh well. I will try really hard to make a full version of the game with even better ending!
All animation are crazy good bruh
Thank you so much, it means a lot to me. I am still new at animating, I will keep on working on improving them!!
Nice game for the jam! I liked the concept and the old school art. The movements were a bit laggy at times and it was hard to dash and sprint at the same time. Good job overall!
Thanks for playing. I will try to polish some of the buggy controls...
I cannot believe you managed to complete this project in 4 days. The gameplay is smooth and responsive, and the visual are great. Well done!
Thank you so much!!
I think this was an extremely ambitious given the time frame but you've done incredibly well. The core mechanics are there and feel good even though they could be tightened up a bit (impact affects, shake, etc.) and the existing sounds I think should be changed for something more retro considering the rest of the theme. Please continue to develop this after the jam because it has such high potential!
Thank you so much for the helpful feedback. Core mechanics and feel can definitely be improved further, and I will work on that for the next few weeks. I also agree with the sounds and also music to make it fit into a retro style while still being unique.
Yes, I will be working on this and aim to publish it in 1 - 2 years time. Stay tuned!!
YOU BUILD A GRAB MECHANIC I cannot hahaha wow crazy what you build in this time! models look very good and the playercharacter feels nice! I'm unfortunately very bad in those games (especially if the dash is ctl) and fell a lot but its a cool take on the theme!
thank you! Im glad you liked my take on the theme. Maybe I was a little too unforgiving in platforming
For such a short time, this is impressive, though it would be better if you omitted the attacking mechanic and focused on polishing the movement, for example coyote time would improve the feel of the game a lot.
Thanks for the feedback. Yes, I think I had a bit of a scope creep and tried adding too much and ended up being a little rough. Now that the submission is over, I will work on polishing both movements and combat for a while. Thanks for playing!
This is incredible for a 4-day jam. The visuals were really cool, and I liked the main objective and the challenging elements as well. The movement controls did take a while to get used to. Aside from that, it's a really fun and equally challenging game, and I can't wait to see what future development updates look like!!
Well almost everyone that played the game mentioned the bad movement controls, so I guess I will be working on that for a while. Thank you a lot for the feedback! Im glad you enjoyed it.
The game felt really fun to play, I really liked the art direction as well as the character animation. Well done on completing it in only 4 days
Thank you. Im happy you enjoyed it despite the janky controls.
wow, nice art! It's impressive you managed to make a good looking 3d world in the time constraints. I was a little lost in the beginning, it didnt register to me i was doing damage to the enemies at first and i felt like it was a bit hard to run. I must say though, the first level gave me the refreshing feeling of exploring new lands, I totally feel like you could make a semi open world game if you ever want to expand things in that direction.
Thanks for your insights. I do agree the tutorial is not good enough. And yes, semi open world thing might be possible but also too much for a solo dev like me, lol
