Very nice art and good sound design.
I liked the idea and frantic gameplay, but maybe a quick introduction phase with just one rocket would have been nice to ease into the full 3 rocket mode.
I really liked the difficulty level involved in adjusting the countdown; I think it’s a wonderful and highly innovative idea.
My high score is pretty bad (it might need a slightly gentler difficulty curve?) but the concept is great and the art is absolutely gorgeous, congratulations!
Cool idea. I don't have the reflexes to make it to a good high score. Enjoyed trying though :D
Insanely cool idea! I love how you incorporated such a detailed art style, especially as a solo dev! I'm sure that must've taken you a really long time to finish - amazing job! Some mechanic ideas I had in mind can include upgrades for how long you can press the button for, how fast the repair robot goes, and how slow the storms stay there. Maybe you can add more things for players to keep track of, like invaders trying to hijack the rocket and blow up another rocket, or maybe a shield where you have to deflect lightning from the storms? Either way, phenomenal job with the game! Good luck the rest of your jam and thank you SO MUCH for checking out my game! :D
Thanks you for the feedback! I can't take the credit fully myself, my brother did a lot of the pixel art, but I handled all the programming as well as composing the soundtrack! I like your ideas for upgrades, definitely wanted to add some but just ran out of time at the end of the jam. Managing my time and trying to get everything in before the deadline was really tricky!
Yeah I was scared about scoping everything too, and you managed to do that flawlessly! Bravo! Hope you enter next year - you have the chops to do it again for sure!
Got 18 at record, really difficult with PRESSING and waiting, while rocket not fly. I think click and timer for wait will be more useful and comfortable for player. Nice visual and idea! GL!
I only managed to get a high score of 6 😅I wish the buttons under the rockets were larger as I found myself losing because I missed the buttons quite often. This was a fun take on the theme! Well done.
Thanks for your feedback! Definitely wish I had made the hold buttons a bit bigger so they'd be easier to click. I'm happy you liked it!
Really really interesting take on the theme! I always say that complexity arising from simple mechanics is a great indicator of a good game, so well done! The art and the sounds also work really well, I liked it a lot!
It would be interesting to expand the idea with multiple rockets with different timers! It reminded me a bit of a minigame from Rhythm Heaven for the Wii, I don't know if you're familiar with it :)
Thank you for the feedback! I was going for a very simple concept with complexity emerging from managing the 3 different rockets so I'm happy you noticed that! Definitely wanted to expand to different types of rockets, just ran out of time at the end of the jam.
I've heard of Rhythm Heaven but haven't played it, I am a big fan of rhythm games though (I've played way too much Osu).
A fellow Osu enjoyer!!
You HAVE to try Rhythm Heaven they're so fun! If you have a Switch, the last one it's really good, otherwise I'm sure you can still find a way to play them ;)
A really clever concept, also the art is awesome! The sense of urgency is perfectly dialed and the mechanic, like others said, is simple yet tough to master!
I've got 11 to the best I could. Simple gameplay but hard to master! Maybe a little tutorial or maybe a slower rhythm could make the game more accessible when you discover it. But I think it's a genious idea! Great work!
Nice little idea and fun to play :-)
I got 18 on my first run, I'm curious how other people did. It's weirdly hard for how simple it is.
Thanks for the feedback! I was aiming for simple mechanics but emergent complexity from having 3 ships so I'm happy you noticed that. Right now I've got a high score of 33, but 18 is really good for a first run!
Cool concept! It's super difficult and I always feel like I need extra hands or mice. It would be cool to see what scores others get. I can't tell if I did well or if I suck lol. This would be like a classic flash game. I'm very impressed that this is your first game!
Thanks for your feedback! I wanted to add a high score leaderboard (I've made it to around 30) but ran out of time before the end of the Jam. I played a lot of those classic flash browser games growing up so they've definitely influenced me.
Very cool!
I loved it, the color scheme is so good, and nice gameplay
okay this was really fun and hard at first ,require a good amount of concentration but good idea and nice artstyle , GG
I think this game would benefit from more tutorialization, as the game really throws you into the deep end, and it takes a little bit to understand really what is happening since a lot is on screen. I liked the pressure the game put on me to try to manage each ship! One small note about pixel art is that you should try to avoid scaling pixels in engine to different sizes. This causes a thing called mixels which makes pixel art look awkward. Otherwise, great job incorporating the theme and making something short and fun!
Thanks for the feedback! Definitely intended to add a tutorial but ran out of time at the end of the Jam. Good catch on the pixel scaling, this is the first game I've made so still pretty new to it all. Will definitely try to avoid in the future.
Super impressive, and be super proud of yourself for completing it! That's already awesome! <3
Creative idea! game keeps you on your toes !
Beautiful graphics and a fun game! Definitely going to play again soon; I was really drawn to the chaos of three rocket launches at once, haha. Good luck for the jam! :)
That's a cool game !! Initially I was really confused. A tutorial might have helped a lot.The artwork is fire !! Good game !!
Thanks for the feedback! Definitely intended to add a tutorial, just ran out of time at the end of the jam. Glad you enjoyed the game!
