Ranked from 110 ratings. Score is adjusted from raw score by the median number of ratings per game in the jam.

How does your game fit the theme?
Each level gives the player a limited number of jumps, dashes, and wall jumps. Every use counts the corresponding action down, and once it reaches zero, that move is no longer available. Players must find the correct route and action order, then use precise platforming skills to execute it.

Great idea and execution. It gives a vibe of more "calculated" super meat boy, rly nice

As a lover of platformers i really like that the puzzle element gives it a clever spice. The music on low makes me hallucinate megalovania which i thought was so funny. The UI and design is immaculate and very consistent. The ability to add your own levels is insane. Except for the snappiness of input (jumping from the spring then jumping again is so hard i stopped playing) the game is really polished and fun

Such a cool challenging platformer, fitting the theme perfectly :)

Creating such a polished game, while also implementing a level editor is seriously impressive.
Well done!

It's insane you managed to make a level editor for a game project!

The game itself is also very fun, nice take on the theme.

The controls don't feel very responsive, but the editor and the ability to publish levels are just incredible, even though there aren't that many elements and the graphics are simple, I've seen a similar mechanic in another jam game but here it's implemented much better!

Developer

May i ask which controls didnt felt responsive?
So that we can issue a after jam fix!

The jump feels a bit too low, and the gravity feels a little heavy almost as if the character is carrying a backpack full of bricks. This might be intentional, but it feels a bit uncomfortable to play. Also, it seems like the dash distance isn't fixed. On the positive side, I noticed that the jump buffer and coyote time are there, which is great! However, the wall-climbing animation could use a bit of polish.

Nice! This reminds me of my old Ludum Dare game. But I put also move left and right as actions you can spend :) Cool graphics. Great job.

Really cool idea. I've not played them much, but I find that adding community level really adds to the experience. I love the character animations. Controls are not quite perfect for me (tho not bad either), I'm not sure what it is exactly but it doesn't feel as smooth as it could. Still a very good entry for a jam, congrats!

Developer

Thanks for the feedback, if you find out what exactly bothered you with the controls, please tell us!

Maybe it's lacking a little bit of conservation of momentum for my taste. The obvious one being that when hitting a bumper, you can cancel your momentum real fast. It's possible that a little bit more inertia would make for a more flowy/smooth movement feel. Either way it's subtle.

Excellent platformer game feel and sound design. Level 19’s key was half offscreen kind of cut off for me, but was still beatable.

Developer

Thanks! Did you tried a different camera setting in the pause menu?
We implemented a zoom in / out in case people play on a rather unique aspect ratio!

I didn’t think to check settings, I can test it a bit later, I was playing on a tablet which has 16:10 ratio, so that’s probably why!

Edit:Tested on my pc, if you don’t play in fullscreen on the game page it cuts off a little, but fullscreen or zooming out works.

This is a solid game. Great use of the theme, nice level difficulty pacing (although level 14 was really hard for me) and simple but effective UI. I think text could be a little bigger but that's a minor nitpick

You putting a level editor in a game jam game too is awesome ill be sure to toy around with that

Developer (1 edit)

Awesome, thanks for the feedback. If you create a level, feel free to share the level code down here so i can check it out ;)

Nice game, well done

The character really reminded me of the game Leap Year. :P

I love those kind of puzzle platformers, cute art and music that fit the vibe perfectly and nice use of a theme! Really solid entry, great job!

Great use of the theme. Really polished, lots of levels, introducing the mechanics is done really well. Fabulous job, had a lot of fun playing.

Submitted(+3)

As someone who constantly jumps in platformers to pass the time I found the game extremely hard :p

Developer

Oh yeah, i feel that.

Submitted(+2)

Fun polished game. I would make the reset faster, as the player needs many tries.

Developer (1 edit)

Theres an option to auto restart in the pause menu, maybe thats faster for you?
(Also you accidentally commented 3 times xD) (edit: i removed them by now)

Really great Idea and execution but It was a little to hard for me. Still I found everything to be really engaging and fun

Neat count down mechanic. It's like everything you do has a cost and each level is designed where you question what you should use up to reach one of the goals

Submitted(+1)

Oh this is an instant classic. Really good idea on the counting down of the number of actions! Good job!
