Quite difficult but a really cool game, really nice art and music! (music was absolutely incredible :o)

How does your game fit the theme?
Your spaceship hyper-drive is damaged and uncontrollably teleports after a short period, taking damage makes it more unstable and cuts down on the time you have left!

I must admit that the first 5 min of my gameplay I just listened to this BANGER SOUNDTRACK HOLLY S***!
The idea of the game sound really cool and the ship movement is good, I just think it needs a lot of balancing. The first enemies took way to long to kill and later the enemies sometimes spawn inside you. Also if you get a few upgrades I finished a level with half of the time left and had to wait (maby there is a way to skip and I am just missing it). But all of this is nothing what a small patch couldn't fix.
I would also recommand to use a other way to move around, maby it is just me but aiming while moving was really hard because I could not move in one direction and aim at another.
Again the music is a banger and adds much to the gameplay, love it ! :)
yeah we definitely have to do some more balancing and testing with the movement system. The idea was that the player had to make decisions for how to move and shoot instead of having a more traditional twin-stick strategy of simply moving backwards and shooting
thanks for all the feedback and thanks for playing!!
Cool art, took a second try to figure out how to play better but I like it.
VERY cool art, wow, so stunning! I'd love to see this become a full game someday!! great work!
Really nice concept but did have some issues.
As This could honestly have been my all time fav of the jam. I love the art style and the Sound design of choice, that's excellent imo. Audio is slightly on the louder side but that's fine.
The gameplay however does have some issues. I love the shooting and the movement as well, but I would much prefer moving via keyboard than mouse. And the levels are just either too hard or too short to actually enjoy.
I enjoyed the boss more than any of the levels because I was actually fighting the boss.
So I do think this has great potential, and with maybe some changes and addition it could be great.
It is still a good jam entry to be clear.
Apologies if I felt harsh.
Nice concept, although I only last a few seconds no matter how hard I try. This is definitely too hard for me. How much damage do the enemies take before killed? Did you maybe accidently ship a version for fast playtesting? ;-)
there’s a limited time you have per enemy encounter, and taking damage cuts down on that time, so you might be simply running out of time quickly rather than dying (the red bar is hp)
enemies did end up feeling a bit too tough (they should take 5-10hits depending on the enemy)
we definitely didn’t balance it well 😅 but hope you had fun, and ty for playing!
Cool game! I thought the visuals were pretty neat and found the movement and stream of bullets super satisfying. It was a little hard to maneuver, but I can definitely see it being an awesome finished product if there's further development with difficulty scaling like you've mentioned. Great job!
This game is a great idea, but I am struggling to play it. It is very fast paced and hard to keep track of whats going on. I mostly getting killed in the first seconds of going to a new branch
Music is very cool, but gameplay both confusing and hard. Managing to kill something and collect whatever dropped without getting hit is quite a struggle.
Very fast paced, hard to tell what is going on sometimes, especially with the boundary of the map being an invisible wall on one side and just coasting off the edge on the other side. Sharp learning curve mostly due to the control scheme, but I managed to reach the end after a couple tries. The art and music are honestly phenomenal but the gameplay feel is hard to come to grips with.
feels like a very fast paced physics based bullet hell which I thoroughly enjoyed. This would do very well as a twin stick shooter, but its current state is also really interesting. It was very challenging having to both fly and aim with the cursor at the same time because they need to be in different directions, usually.
the music is awesome and the controls feel rlly good it was just a little hard figuring out what was going on id def play a full release version of this with a bit more polish and clarity its rlly fun
