The bakground moving and music combo made me a bit dizzy but it is neat gameplay!!

Gameplay is fun! I like that you used this system to make like a puzzle card game. You should definitely make an endless mode with the system. It works with the puzzle system, but broken frog seems too OP without any action cost. With some polish and effects I can imagine this being a game I sit down and play for a while. Some suggestions for the game would be to add more placement based effects and give the option to skip placing a card to use the action later.

This was fun!! I absolutely love the soundtrack, was vibing to that the whole time :D. Great concept, nice job!

this was really fun! it reminded me a lot of the boomsday puzzles from hearthstone :)

Interesting concept but was pretty unintuitive to understand at first. Works well as a puzzle game, however, it is really up to luck without knowing what card the opponent is about to play. If you get your guess wrong, you might just have to restart.

Developer

Thanks for playing! Yeah, I wish I was able to get a tutorial in there to make things like that easier to avoid. I don't think that the first card matters for any of the levels though, except for ones where the action counter is low at the start. Could you give me an example of what you ran into so I can write it down to fix later?

A little bit tricky to understand at first but after a bit we get into it and the fun is coming. well done!

I really like the idea, the levels feel like small puzzles with only a few possible solutions, which makes it fun to figure them out step by step.
At first, I didn't fully understand the action phase, but after reading the card descriptions, everything clicked and I understood what I was supposed to do.
One small thing I noticed is that the moving background felt a bit distracting at times because of how fast it scrolls. Aside from that, I think it's a really interesting game with a concept that has a lot of room to grow. Great job.

clever little card game!!! I enjoyed it once I figured it out. 5/5 but I do think some might get caught up without a tutorial. Great work! I love seeing other card games in the jam

This could use a deeper tutorial but once I got the hang of it I had a lot of fun ! Weird bunny is a hero and I would die for them :)

Developer(+1)

I agree, I didn't have as much time at the end as I needed to get a tutorial together unfortunately, it basically just ended up as a proof of concept. Glad you liked it though! Weird Bunny is the best!

I get that, I couldn't get any sort of tutorial together in time for mine, what you had was already a plus !

Submitted(+1)

I was confused at first but got there  in the end. The potential is big.

Cute! few bugs here and there, took a while to get used to. But overall it was a vibe, nice music

Half the time my clicks don't work. unsure what actions are, don't feel like reading 10 messages, sorry...

its a game...

Developer

Appreciate the feedback, clicking during the messages should have skipped through them, and I'm not sure about your clicks not working during the card phase, though I am guessing it was during the Action phase, which was explained during the text you didn't want to read.

I played the first round a few times and was confused if it was possible to win - realized it was by the comments below - and tried again and won! very fun puzzle. sort of like figuring out how to win in slay the spire, but in one round (' get enough damage through combinations'.

Developer

Thank you! I wish I was able to do a full tutorial instead of just the text description but I didn't have time unfortunately, if I keep going with the idea it will be the first thing added

A little bit confused at first, but then things started to make sense. It's quite difficult to understand how to use the actions at first. Music is a bop and art is very fun!

Developer

Thank you! Yeah, I was not able to put as much time into doing a tutorial as I wanted, which is why the first level only gives you one option to win. If I was able to "complete" it, there would definitely be a more guided tutorial for this. Music was open license, but I did the art, so thanks!

Fun game! I loved the humor in the dialogue and the card descriptions. Dolphin? and Found Giraffe were my favorites.

Developer(+1)

Weird Bunny is definitely my favorite ha, Dolphin? is a close second though

I was confused, then intrigued when I understood the action phase.
My brain is now bigger than it was before, thanks for the fun game!

Developer

Aww, thank you! Glad you had a good time!

I need more giraffes please and thank you <3

Developer(+1)

On it boss o7

Submitted(+1)

That was cute and fun!
The cards that added an action didn't entirely make sense to me as I still only had one action per turn (?)  I like the variety of cards / options as you progress to harder levels :-)

Developer(+1)

Thank you! The point of the added action abilities was so I could build levels with a lower starting action counter, may have missed the mark there though. It was kind of a last minute addition haha. Glad you enjoyed it!
