I liked the idea. Good Job
It's a really fun concept with a great spin on the theme! The combat is really challenging though, when a snake attacks you become kinda hopeless. The mechanics are great, however they need some balancing for the game to shine brighter. Besides that, neat little game!
Fun concept, but it needs some balancing. I died twice before I could even find the first sandworm.
It's an interesting concept but not all that well executed, it's quite hard to manage attacking and getting sand, I think regaining sand could be a bit faster because after getting hit by a snake it's really hard to get back, I had to restock sand for like 10 seconds straight while getting hit by snakes just to stay alive. With some changes it can definitely be good
This was a really cool idea and I'm looking forward to seeing if you do anything with this after the jam. However, in its current state, even after you get the hand of managing your sand it still feels like if you get hit by a worm a single time it's impossible to come back from, I think largely because it takes so long for you to put more sand in your timer and the fact that it glitches sometimes so it takes twice as long. I actually had a good bit of fun whenever I fought a single sandworm alone, watching my health and making sure I had enough ammo, but when there were more than one it felt like I kept getting stun locked and make health would disappear instantly.
Thanks for the feedback! Something that isn’t really mentioned or taught is your “reverse knockback” dealt to you increases for each snake/worm you hit, so that can help you move back and regenerate if you hit multiple ones at once. Not sure if I’ll continue this after the jam though
Hee-Ho. Very cool idea with sand clock
Very cool concept!
Thank you!
Very creative idea with a lot of room for improvement. It would definitely help if the sand depleted slower/less during combat, since replenishing as a sizeable cooldown and I find myself getting ambushed fairly quickly. Really cool game though!
Cool mechanic! Juggling your sand as both health and resource is a neat twist. Unlucky start though: my first two runs I didn't run into a single snake. Fun once it gets going
Thanks for playing! Yeah I've seen this a lot though, maybe I nerfed the spawning too much
Very interesting game, I liked the idea, gameplay and combat, but the snake spawning system could be improved. There aren't enough snakes and when they do spawn, they spawn in groups so they are hard to fight, but all in all, a very cool and creative game, good job!
Thanks for playing!
Love the idea but its really hard to even find snakes so im spending most of my time digging lol
The directional audio should help a bit, but yes I think there were too many at some point so I balanced it too much
Amazing game! At first I was confused, but after reading the controls I started laughing! It is very unique, but some more complexity wouldn't hurt. A clock flip to swap health with ammo would fit the idea really well and maybe more kinds of snakes with different approach would make the fun last longer. Great job!
Sick game with a really innovative concept, obviously room for more content, which would be really cool to see, but the combat felt fair, learning the game felt fun
Really cool Idea, Its was super hard at first but after a couple of minutes I realized I was pretty good at this hahah. Good job!!
