Quite the puzzle you got there. Love the presentation.

Great and creative puzzler that fits the theme really well.  Impressive on all fronts.

This is super fun and engaging, and the artwork looks clean and polished! Adding background music would make the game even better.

Developer

thxx. After I posted it, I realized the music was missing :'( we'll update

The artwork is beautiful! I enjoyed that there were so many different levels and that the difficulty scaled nicely.

Developer

Thank you for your thoughts and kind comment. We really liked your game, too. It was really hard to adjust the difficulty level

Really cool concept! I enjoyed the puzzle aspect of your game. Great work! Subtle music in the future would help

Impressive amount of content and polishing on this one. Its a fun view on the countdown theme that strays from the timer idea. Great job on taking a simple mechanic to such heights!

Developer

Thank you. In this game, when we looked up at the night sky, we used to count the stars to clear our minds. And with every star we counted, it was as if the sky drew us deeper into itself. The number kept increasing with every star we counted, but the number of stars left to count was decreasing... The sky and this game remind me of people.

I really liked the game! Sound is simple, but works really good. Impressive amount of levels, and really fun ones. Only thing, most of the easier levels had the exact same solution for all of them. Also, pretty creative interpretation of the theme. I also did a puzzle game with a similar kind of interpretation (but very different mechanics), so I loved it!

Developer

We're glad you enjoyed our game. The entire game is based on a specific algorithm; you can find an explanation of the algorithm we used in the description section. Unfortunately, since the number of stars is limited to 3 in the first levels, we couldn't do anything to make them more challenging.

Crazy amount of levels for a game jam and with hints and solutions! Super impressive

Developer

thank you soo much

Is your "How does your game fit the theme?" description for this current game? I feel like it's describing a different game, but tell me if I'm wrong. And also one of the screenshots are definitely not from Until Zero unless there's an easter egg I don't know of.

Oh yeah the gameplay is the simple lights out puzzle type but slightly different that has (like you said) easy rules but lots of mastery in the form of knowing little tricks to get specific patterns of stars the way you want. I personally won't play everything, but I like how every constellation exists if I want to. I personally just picked the cool sounding ones on increasing difficulties then gave up on the difficult ones. (I have proof of this, I named my username after my game for advertising you know)

Unlike other puzzle games I've played today, this one introduces everything in the tutorial, and doesn't have any gimmicks. There's only one type of star and all of them have a max "charge" of two (which means stars are ternary which is a useful thing to figure out to help solve levels) (also I figured out the order of clicking stars doesn't matter, it all ends up the same no matter the order)

I think we should write the description better—thanks for the suggestion. The next screenshot is actually an ad for our upcoming game; it’s mentioned in the last sentence of the description. Maybe it would be better to point that out as well. Since this is my first game jam experience and I’m not very good with words, I don’t think I explained the description very well. I will update the description.

Had a cracking time, I think I'm slightly addicted and I'm second on the leaderboard

Developer(+1)

The game we made was so difficult that we couldn’t get very far :D

This is a beautiful relaxing puzzle game, little tricky at first but super satisfying as you start getting the hang of it. The visuals are clean and fit perfectly, and the fact its made with real constellations is just way too cool. Great idea and execution.

Beautiful UI! The mechanics are really fun when you understand them. I wish there was some tutorial or something, as learning the game meant reading the description, which breaks immersion. Other than that, solid puzzle game! Got a bit stuck on the red level.

Developer

Thank you for your thoughts. Actually, as a team, we’re struggling with the level design right now. I hope we can make the updates before the competition ends :). It’s harder to improve what you’ve built than it is to build it in the first place.
