I really, really like the idea of this concept! It took some tries to really get the hang of it, but it proved itself to be a nice little experience once I knew what the game required me to do, well done. I feel like this is something that could be extended to a full-bodied experience with more time given.

And of course, the art and atmosphere was top notch on this one:)

Cool concept, and the animations are on point, and the art was very cool, and your modeling skills look very nice! I just did not get that you have to click on the counter tool to start the rhythm, but your walkthrough really helped me out there! I'm not sure why there is a need for a terminal if you could also show that with a UI system, but I see you wanted to mix Sci-Fi with some ritual elements. Very interesting concept, good job!!

Interesting little game!

I like the idea of actively working the ritual in rythm with the beat.
Was a bit confusing at the start, as I had to restart a couple of times before I got the hang of everything i was supposed to do! Would be nice with a few even easier rituals at first to ease you into the game loop, cause you kinda get presented with a hefty wall of text and have to spend a couple of minutes to wrap your head around the instructions.

I had fun with the game though!

Nice work :)

Very interesting take on the concept! Definitively was one of the games I've played so far that best integrated the countdown theme into the gameplay loop. Also, atmosphere is excellent! Good job!

Very interesting concept of the theme (btw, i was able to jump off the map by walking to the edge)

This was an interesting way to play a rhythm type game! One thing that tripped me up at the start was I am used to a "measure" being 3 or 4 beats like in music, but it didn't take long to realize it was just the beats. The particles at the sigils was helpful for that confusion.

Great atmosphere, the rhythm aspect fits nicely for sure. I did somehow manage to get stuck a few times but other than that it worked great!

Would have been nice to get a little bit more feedback on what I did wrong and what went well, but I managed to summon an obelisk! Cool combination between spooky- and rhythm-game

Developer

Thank you for playing! There are three more creatures to summon in the next levels, the instructions for summoning are a bit different in each stage. You can try to look for particle effects to guide you, they might prove useful. I would have liked for text to glow green or red depending on whether you were able to fulfill a given rule, but I lacked time for that. Maybe in post-jam update.

Again, thanks for playing!

While I was crossing after starting the metronome, I got stucked right here. Cool idea btw

Submitted

Sadly it doesn't start for me on Firefox :(

Developer

You're right. That's very unfortunate, I'm don't think I can fix it now. Thank you for trying anyway!

Really loved the atmosphere! Took me a minute of re-reading the notes to realize I had to align the symbols on the altar with the mirror on the wall, but once it clicked, it was super satisfying. Awesome vibe and concept!

Wow I won! I raised the obelisk! Love the vibe. It was a bit challenge to reread description on the first table to comprehend that you need to interact with metronome on the other side.

Developer

Hi, thanks for playing!

I hope that you not only raised the obelisk but got to see the other three hell denizens!

Submitted

Oh, there is more!

Developer(+1)

Yes, there are different instruction on next levels for different creatures! They do get more difficult, if you're having trouble maybe observe the particles to get an idea what ritual expects. Good luck!

Cool vibe! Cool concept! Unfortunately my camera kept glitching out. And it felt quite tedious having to read through the ritual instructions. I think this game could've really benefited from a more interactive type of tutorial / demonstration

Developer

Hi, thanks for playing! Could you say what was the issue with camera precisely? I playtested it with a few friends and I didn't see issues so would be good to fix it!
I agree that instructions are quite hard to parse, but there is an alternative way to see what the solution is since you can leave the salt alone and particles will show you where the ritual expected salt to be on each beat. Symbols do shift around each time so this isn't just memorization, but it should help!

Again thanks for playing!

I liked the game. I was immediately drawn to the game's cover and couldn't pass it by. The more eyes, the better.

The camera was glitching for me. Cool idea and a fun game!

On the windows build the camera sometimes skips or moves too fast, it seems to happen more often on high sensitivity

This is like a fever dream one my dreams is me being sacrificed now I remember it whole being in a ritual thanks to this game. yet I got confused at the start but now its all good :)) this game is automatically a 5 for me

Submitted

I enjoyed the atmosphere you’ve made with this!

Submitted

Really well done in such a short time!

It was a bit hard for me, but I liked the mood (sound and art)

Edit: I came back to it to test with a gamepad, and it worked! And that was much easier (I m not a mouse keybord guy)
