How does your game fit the theme?
The Towers COUNT the caged birds DOWN below. The games main mechanic - the towers gain power for each bird trapped directly under them. (Further explanation: we separate the 2 words count and down, so the towers get more power when they count more bird below them. )

(Optional) What would you like to be called if GMTK features your game?

I like the way how you interpret the theme. The art is amazing and gameplay is soooo fun!

Quite surprising and entertaining ! Always love this kind of weird little ideas, good job !

How you even think of this - it is op bro

A good piece of art

Nice combination of platfoming & tower defense! Also the towers 'counting down' birds is a unique approach on the theme, great work!

Very fun game with both base building and tower defend. I think the "power" mechanic that power turrets is still a bit clunky, but I also really enjoy the aethestics of debris clogging up the area, very fun :)

Amazing work for four days

A few tricky ideas to get your head around, but once I understood what I was doing I really got into this. There is a lot of richness balancing the various components. If you could figure out a broader game loop I think this could be spun out into a full game.

You've had the highest rating from me so far! Such a good and interesting concept. The artwork is fascinating.

thank you so much <3

Very cool concept, lots of potential! Already feels able to produce a lot of different playstyles, what with choosing to expand horizontally and parkour around or vertically and let the towers do their thing.

Developer(+1)

Thank you for your review! Yes this game is meant to offer a lot of possibilities :)

What a cool game! I like how quickly this becomes very complex but isnt very hard to understand. Well done!

Developer(+2)

Thank you! Hope you enjoyed our game ;)

those damn birbs!
very creative. the challenge is not to trap myself haha

Submitted(+3)

Wow this game is one of the best games and also one of the most creative games I've seen that can resonate so well with the game jam's theme. It forces you to organize your builds to be able to move around while also having cages under the cells to upgrade them. Man this game is fun.

Developer(+1)

thank you so much! We appreciate the recognition of our theme interpretation, as we abandoned our original idea to pursue this one!

Very very cool game, I really liked how the towers and the enemies were all very important. I also liked the balance between making your towers stronger, but risking trickier maneuvering and less overall firepower/coverage.

Developer(+1)

👏This guy gets it. That is exactly correct. We meant to make it a balancing act where you had to create a massive tower of towers to fight off the monsters while also having to keep maneuverability in mind to be able to squash the cage-breakers.

Submitted(+2)

I love how chaotic it starts to get with more towers!

This felt like playing terraria summoner only, but with only sentries haha. Only thing is I wish i could move some blocks around, I trapped myself a couple of times :'>

Developer(+1)

haha! yes, this game does seem terraria-like! sorry you ended up trapped :c (yes moving blocks would have been convenient)
