The begging is pretty tough, especially that it takes time to figure out what is going on, and later on I find my self just spamming roll until I get a non 0 value, which wasn’t very interesting

I managed to get a score of 35 on round 8. Is that good? I have no idea. It was difficult to grasp what was going on, but the timer was so tight I couldn't think about what I was clicking. Apparently there was an opponent? Maybe if instead of a literal timer, it could be an amount of rolls you're allowed to do, then I could take a second to see everything on the rolling screen.

In spite of the confusion, I think I was having fun. The music and sounds were were nice and the visuals did a pretty good job at communicating what I was supposed to do, even if I didn't know why.

You clearly put a lot of effort into this game, and there were so many shop items I never got around to exploring. This one might be a secretly amazing game that just has too high of a skill/knowledge floor.

Thank you very much for trying out our game. This has got to be the best comment I have seen within the jam so far on any game I have checked out.

This was our first game, never touched pixel art or godot before this, but we have experience coding. We knew our biggest challenge would be balancing the game, and you, like many others, have hit on some of the weak points within our game.

If we were to redo it at this point, we would likely make every round of the game last 30 seconds. We experimented with rolls per round early on, but it felt right to have a time pressure given that it sped up the game. We played around with a ton of different times per round, but ultimately it ended up being too short in the early game.

Another thing we struggled with was incentive. as you mentioned, no real sense of progression. We are still not 100% sure how to make that better, but we still have tons of ideas for different abilities and making the game more "readable". Thank you again!

Interesting concept, but I think the time is so tight and doesn't let you experience the  game mechanic completely.

I think the pricing at the very beginning sometimes makes things impossible (I got some shops with $6 coins, which seemed silly given that they could only generate $3 for you) but once I got over that hump on a run, it felt really good to keep jacking my score up. Eventually got  to a point where all 4 6-sided dice didn't add up to enough money to refill my dice anymore, but I got a pretty high score in the meantime. :) Great job, very fun to play once you get into it! Visuals and sound design are both also very good.

Thanks a ton for playing the game. We are glad you enjoyed it! We had a ton of fun too, once you get out of the first few rounds that is. We have a ton of things to learn about balancing games going forward and love the criticism!

Great high score! Highest we have seen/gotten yet!

I like the concept pal and the visual is very good. The timer is a bit too fast for me (or the roll timer little slow). Couldn't really get pass round 5 XD. Keep up the good work <3

Seems pretty interesting but I had alot of issues with the timer itself

100% We struggled with balancing more than anything else this jam.

Hey, very interesting concept, I'm sure with more time to polish the balancing this could get very fun, unfortunately i got really soft locked at the beginning and couldn't experience the full game. Keep it up!

Fun game! I think it could benefit from something like levels to let the player feel the progress. And the tutorial could later on become more interactive (like a first level) since most players don't wanna read, but as a fan of casino style luck + strategy based games I really enjoyed it. Has a lot of potential and very well done for a first game!

Nice game it reminds me of balatro a lot even though your is not a rough-like. The music sounds great and the gameplay is fun it is just the first levels are pretty hard.

Interesting concept, but I admit I wasn’t able to get past the first few rounds. I feel like the time mechanics is pretty shoed-in for the jam theme and it hurts the gameplay experience. The spinning animations is way too long for a time-limited game like this.

The shop seems to be buggy as well, it doesn’t always unlock things that I can buy, and soft-lock my progress. The timer doesn’t always update even though the countdown is still happening.

Overall a pretty substantial concept, but perhaps too ambitious for such a short jam and it’s not well polished.

Hey Lestavol, thanks for playing! Unfortunately, the time mechanics were not shoed-in for the jam :( Just first time game dev and we weren't super sure how to balance the game. Our goal for count down was removing the faces and "counting down" your chances to get points, but I do agree we were a bit ambitious and maybe added a bit too much. Anyway, thanks mate!

The concept for the game is quite on theme, the quick decision of probability and counting score. I would have made the game slower on start and progressively faster.. but nevertheless it was quite satisfying to play and the visual effects were quite nice!

Hey Bijoy, thanks for playing. Balancing was our tough spot for sure, and the sentiment seems to be too little time at the beginning. Next time baby!

The game is ok, but for me personally it's too fast, and I literally don't have time to do anything, the artwork is good, the music gets boring after a couple of minutes, but overall it's ok like the first game.

Developer

Thanks Rob! We appreciate the feedback. We tried a ton to balance the game as best as possible, but it seems we should have added more time, especially in the first few rounds.
