How does your game fit the theme?
The game features an enemy attack delay counter mechanic, as well as a round-based system and a countdown to powerful attacks. As speak of final boss it was slow enrage count down as action slot without answer so player have to harry up and kill an enemy before him

The art is gorgeous, properly moody. The clash mechanic is a nice twist on turn based combat too. Only shout is easing the player in a bit more, took me a few fights to click. Really impressive stuff!
Check out my game if you get a chance, a chess roguelike called Final Gambit: /jam/gmtk-jam-2026/rate/4813276
Very thoughtful game!
Stunning Art style! I love the bunny so much.
Btw the tutorial seems to have something not line up properly so its a bit confusing.
Nice work!
Thank you!
Yeah, it might be a bit confusing. There were some tricky parts that I tried to explain in the tutorial and the description. In the post-jam version, I'll make the onboarding much clearer
Great art style , but very tough to understand the mechanics.
I'll do my best to fix it in postjam verstion
Thank you!
Very unique gameplay and great art style!
wow this is awsome , artwork reminds me of 7 days to live mix of limbus and
Hey an awesome piece of art of a game, please make more, the gameplay feels fluid and thought through, and animations are awesome, thank you for the game!
Thank you!
Really appreciate that you like the flow! We'll do our best
Will you continue this project? It`ll be nice to see full version!
I hope so
It good Game! ,i lke it
Very good looking game, nothing to say about it! Some of the words you use in the cards are not really clear on what the effect might be, like what does "stun from a margin" means? It looks like it has been done for another purpose rather than the jam, since also the theme of cooldown is missing. Don't take this as rude cause it's not, I like it, I just find it not really fitting
Thank you for your feedback!

Theme fit is delayed attacks and timers. You have to interrupt it before it slay you
Just to be clear here is the example
Wished to add one more mech with delayed player attack (skip slot for one turn) but didn't make it in time because was busy with polishing
> Some of the words you use in the cards are not really clear on what the effect might be, like what does "stun from a margin" means?
That's quite unclear for sure. In post jam ill fix localization problems
> It looks like it has been done for another purpose rather than the jam
Isn't the goal of jam to make a greate game that players enjoy?
No idea why can't attach picture to last post

Yeah can't really see the photo since it's so small, so still unsure. Maybe making it more visible or relevant or better explained in the tutorial would have helped me understand that there was something going down worth noting.
Ok so the problem is localization, fine then no worries, if it was something unexplained it would have been more of a concern, but I get it!
Yes, the point of the jam is to make something enjoyable, but the theme is there for a reason, else what's stopping me from doing a general game and put it here? It needs to be the main mechanic your game revolves around, else just do a normal game and not a jam
The jam's theme is border and direction and it can be interpreted in any way. In our case it's a gimmick.
Maybe it wasn't clear how the mechanic works, so it's confusing how it fits the theme. I'll add a proper explanation of the Delay Attack mechanic in the post-jam version to make it clear
That gimmick with delays is played out of enemies slot and core game play in your opinion isn't main mechanic? :D
Might be, if correctly explained.
The theme is broader, but if I just do a dark souls with the health bar with a number going down, is it really countdown related?
I'm not looking to fight with you, I'm just giving my opinion. Since it was not something I noticed, I didn't find the theme in your game. It felt like I was browsing itch out of the jam. I'm not looking to give out good comments just for the sake of doing people a favor. Pointing the flaws even in a jam can help growth, you can choose to understand, ignore me, or trying to prove a point. That is up to you.
Fair enough. Thanks for taking the time to play and write this out. The delay-attack countdown was designed as the theme carrier from the beginning, but you're right in case - the game never actually teaches it (you have to figure it out by yourself that isn't great i guess) so if a player doesn't notice it the theme reads as absent. That's on me and most useful takeaway
And yeah, just to be clear, everything was made within the 96 hours (exept of some things and packages that i mentioned in entry topic). And in post jam version will make the mechanic properly visible. Thanks again for the honest feedback :3
No worries, I'm glad we could talk about it and I'm happy if I've even slightly helped you. The game is great, that remains!
It is always hard to see what's missing, even in my game it felt like we explained it and it was simple enough, but from an outsider perspective I can understand it's instead too much and might be confusing. Time in a jam is what it is, and I still think every game I played until now is a little gem in a way or another!
Fun game, beautiful art, but not sure how "countdown" factors in?
Thank you for your feedback!

I loved both the art and the mechanics! The only downside is I don't get how it fits the theme, but honestly who cares. It's a fun game!

I like the artstyle and mood of the game. My only feedback would be to easie the player into the game a bit better but this is a game jam so we dont always have time for that. Great work!
Thank you for feedback!
Yeah agree. In post gam ill add more gameplay hints to introduce gimmicks
I am terrible at these kind of games but it looks and feels incredible!
Great idea and super moody art
I enjoyed the game :) Incredible graphics, sounds and everything else :D
Good luck in the jam
IF you have free time please check my submission out :D
I like the art, and I think the clash mechanic is a really interesting twist on a deck builder-styled turn based combat.
I enjoyed it and I will play more of it again
Nice game!
Well posished game. It has a good athmosphere and outstanding gamefeel. Congrats!
Love the mysterious dark forest vibe. Even with simple deck card game mechanics, the creative character design and polished art make it feel like there's a story behind every battle. The UI is clear, and the game flow is smooth and easy to follow. Wish to play more, but this is a really solid jam entry. Great work!
