I love the way you use "Countdown" truly! Best thing I loved about the game is the artstyle my dude. I would love to see more levels !

Best interpretation of countdown I saw so far - instead of rushing and stressing out players - it makes them relaxed! SFX are very satisfying and makes me want to do one more row.
I see some comments about issues - I am happy to report everything worked as a charm on my machine and I am waiting for the game full release!
This comment is music to our ears, as we wanted to go the relaxing, cozy way opposite to what the countdowns usually mean. Feels great knowing we achieved that :) So happy to hear you did not have any issues! We promise many cool designs to come (most likely including cats as well, just saying ;)).
Thank you so much for checking it out and leaving such a lovely review <3
I was really having fun with the intro screen mousing over the buttons for a minute, then entered the game and put like a second bead on the needle just trying to figure out what to do, and then the game crashed and afterwards I wasn't able to make it back into the game it just crashes every time:
Thank you so much for trying to make it work, and for the video!
We had that same issue on 1 machine, and will try to fix it in the next version after the jam - as an ad hoc solution - removing save file may help :)
Happy you could at least enjoy the menu :D that will be also polished a bit, and we plan to record and add many more satisfying sounds!
Thank you for trying! How unfortunate that it crashes for you. We're looking into this already as we had this issue on one other machine, but no solution as of yet (there's no error, just crash to desktop), but if you like you can remove your existing save game here:
"C:/Users/<YOURUSERNAME>/AppData/Local/BeadDown/" (simply remove the folder). Hope that helps!
This was really relaxing. Sometimes a simple, cozy idea is exactly what you need, and making bead designs was surprisingly satisfying. Nice work, and thanks for the chill submission!
I used to bead loom when I was a teenager, so this brings back memories! Very cozy, would have its place happily among a bunch of the pixel art coloring games and things like stitch. on the Switch. Would love more levels and patterns!
Dude Hard to Bead or Hard to BEAT? (*THE QUALITY OF THIS ENTRY) - *high fives self*
Seriously though what a crazy creative take on the theme, combined with such fantastic execution. It says a lot about a devs design chops when I can open the first level and with absolutely no explaining instinctively know how the game works and the rules, without compromising on challenge.
The palette and general styling lead to such a cozy, relaxing environment with enough going on to keep me engaged. I remember commenting on another title that it almost feels like a space you inhabit than just a game and I think the same applies here.
Really fantastic entry.
Unfortunately, I could not play it; my screen was black. This could be an issue with Windows ARM, though.
Good Game ! Just a suggestion maybe an undo option would have been nice :)
a really creative and relaxing take on the theme. simple mechanics are surprisingly satisfying and the attention to detail in the visuals makes the whole experience feel polished.
A little peace and quiet between so many games that have used the gamejam's theme to create stress and a sense of urgency in the player's decisions. Great design choice!
I also appreciate de main menu buttón effects, trully on point!
Pretty nice entry overall. Congrats!
Very unique concept and very well designed logo!
Would love to see this mechanic in the context of a "dinner dash" style game where you have to complete orders for customers :)
Calming, peaceful. Now I no longer have the urge to buy beads and try this, because I just tried it in this game! My PC was kinda getting hot it could be optimized better. Art is cute, I loved the main menu buttons especially! The charts on the left could use some numbers, maybe not each square but every 5 at least? I had to manually count the squares and it was a bit tedious.
A very unique game I haven't seen anything like this in this jam. Congrats!!
Everybody is out here with loud guns, flashing lights, chaos in the streets, peanut butter in the refrigerator, just utter belligerency. But this. This is nice. I like this.
a nice little cozy game :) I was deeply saddened by the longer strands of beads not fitting on the needle, if you aim to satisfy, gotta go all out! Some nice calm music would have also added a lot. Very chill though, great work!
Happy you liked it!
Having all the beads on the needle is something we were thinking about, but we do have much more intricate, bigger designs in plans. For now we are implementing max 50 beads in a column, so it will not be easy to fit them all on the needle, but we will think how we could show the full sequence better. :) Music is definitely also on our list to add!
Thank you so much for the feedback, glad it was a nice experience for you <3
