How does your game fit the theme?
Locate and destroy the enemy artillery position before they acquire yours. The timer only runs while you are aiming, and every new target gives you less time. If it reaches zero, the enemy fires a guaranteed lethal shot.

I like the idea, but I have a few issues. Firstly, it seems that the little yellow crossbar to indicate elevation is broken, and with no indication of what scale the grid is, it's quite difficult to pick what elevation to shoot at. Secondly, I did manage to shoot a shot like this:

But it somehow counted as a miss! It looks like I'm bang on target. If there's some other reason it didn't count, e.g. elevation etc., I think it should be clear to the player! Anyway, I don't mean to be too negative, because I did have fun playing it, especially frantically spinning the wheels. Nice entry :)
Don't worry! Feedback is always appreciated. The yellow assist lines are only available in easy mode. The scales are shown on the radar as 1km for 1 charge, 2km for 2 charges, and 3km for 3 charges; all at 45 degree elevation. Missing is entirely expected as the map is a 3km radius and you need to hit within 100m of the target. The target is somewhere within that red circle, so that looks like it's still a pretty wide 400m circle. I get that it's a lot to understand which is why I wrote the description in great detail. Can you tell me what device you're using? So I can check if it's a platform issue that the yellow assist lines might not appear.
I was using a PC, web version of the game, firefox browser
I use the exact same setup but have never ran into this issue. Hopefully it was just a one time thing and a refresh could fix it?
Perhaps I'm just misunderstanding the controls again. What I mean is, I wind the "elevation" thing forward, and the yellow line doesn't seem to move any further out. When I wind it back, it moves further in.
Yeah generally 45 degrees is your maximum distance. If you want to fire closer then you increase elevation. You generally don't want to reduce elevation below 45 degrees because it's harder to hit targets precisely. The game starts you at 45 degrees by default with 1 charge so your default maximum range is 1km.

Initially I saw the screen and thought I'd be overwhelmed, but nope it instantly felt right, which I think is testament to the really care taken on the UI hierarchy. You could absolutely imagine this being the interface within some Iron Nest style war-game. Absolutely killer.
This is one of the most tactile games I've played.
I like the spin controls to aim, simple and effective
I had a lot of fun playing this game, once I got used to the controls on easy mode, I then managed to get a point on hard mode.
such a creative idea! i like the premise of not knowing where the enemy is and going off different metrics, kinda reminds me of how the player navigates the submarine in iron lung.
Very interesting game -- I don't have a good enough intuition to know the optimal ratios for charges and elevation to get distance unfortunately, but it was a lot of fun playing with the controls. Great game!
Great to hear! I know that it's not a super intuitive game especially in hard mode, but that's why easy mode exists! Thanks for trying out the game!
This is a big brain game xD
Interesting game, though it took a bit to understand what to do. Good job.
AGH the spin control xD
But actually they made it fun (and stressful) with the timer! I was super lost until I looked at the instructions but maybe it's on me for trying to play without looking at those first :P
Cool game!
I was extremely confused at first, but once I realised I had to wait for my turn before the wheels worked, it was really fun! It's so satisfying to land a perfect shot, I was getting addicted lol
This is super cool, really liked it. A super unique twist on theme
The UI and radar on this made me feel super cool for firing a huge lob at the enemy, even though I missed almost every single time. Cool game with lots of stress, even with a minimalist art style.
