Developer

thank you!

First of all, congrats on your game jam! <3

I really like the art and the dark vibes. Haha, and I caught that Weapons reference! :)
Overall, the game felt a bit too long for my taste, but I still enjoyed my time with it.
Thanks for sharing this with us!

Developer

thank you and you're welcome :)

The game was great but only if you could add a more clear explanation and the game could've been faster but anyways i really like it and it had me chilled lol. see my game :)

Developer

Really cool lore and artstyle. I also loved the gameplay even if it was alot of text :P

Developer

thanks!

Artstyle's nice, but the gameplay is reaaaalllyy boring. Way too much text, not much going on. Despite that, the concept is creative, it reminds me of another game I think it was called no im not a human

Developer

thanks for the feedback! this game was loosely inspired by no i'm not a human in fact

Submitted

There was a lot of text and not a lot of action. Solid artwork though.

I thought the visuals for the game were really great! I really liked how the pixel art turned out especially with its' movement. And I thought the intro was really cool but I think it did dump a lot of information and I was really able to keep any of it.

I knew I was supposed to be looking for anomolies but I didn't know exactly how the questions corresponded with what they said or exactly what I was supposed to be looing out for. When I saw all the explanations for what an anomaly could look like I was like "Dang, I am not going to remember any of that. Hopefully there's like a little notebook that I can reference" and then there wasn't so a lot of the game I was just guessing at what I thought I should be looking for and eventually ended with 2 anomalies at the end. :(

It was really cool though. Great concept I wish there was more stuff I could reference throughout gameplay.

Developer

thanks for the feedback and for playing!

Really good ambience, It's a litlte slow for my taste, and i was never sure if o was doing right or not, but i guess uncertainty goes with the spooky vibe jaja. also aparently i escaped safelly so yeah!
 I liked it good job

Developer

thanks!

interestiong concept. i really liked this art. btw there are some bugs with elevator`s doors

Developer

this is due to layering issues. thanks!

Ngl I got bored and stopped playing halfway through. The game was very slow-paced and I couldn't figure out how to know when to open the door or not. I never died so I guess I kept guessing correctly. The characters looked cool though and the intro was good.

Developer

this type of game isnt really for everybody i guess. it's fine if you didnt like it.
thanks for playing!

A really fun twist on the No I'm Not a Human formula :)

I like whatever effect you had on the character sprites making their outlines sort of fuzzy and changing. Made it feel more unsettling.

Developer

thanks!

The story and dialouge take way too long imo, and the question felt kinda random. The game still has excellent atmosphere and artwork tho. Good job!

Developer

thanks!

Interesting game! It is however a bit too long for my liking. While I did enjoy the introduction thematically, I REALLY struggled with reading the fonts, especially with the visual glitch/blur effects, which meant I couldn’t read everything in time and felt a bit lost at time. The intro is also really long and it takes a while to even get to a level. Playing the game is also very slow paced, with long wait times between floors. I also didn’t have any interactions on the lower floors, so I was just sitting there, waiting for dialogs every so often before arriving at the bottom. Another issue I had was when the detective appeared. It told me to ask a question, but just before that the janitor took priority, so at floor 0, it just felt like guesswork. Nontheless, the screenshake, sounds and narrative was nice and polished! Good job!

Developer

if you have 5 people with you then interactions become less common.
ive heard similar complaints regarding the fonts, the elevator wait times and the intro
that detective/janitor thing is an issue i dont really understand how it happens yet. glad you reported it though
sorry if you didn't have the greatest time playing and thanks for playing my game!

Submitted

That’s fine, you made a great game non the less! It’s just not my genre, but I still love playing jam games haha!

I did find another small issue with the detective btw where he is kinda obscured by the elevator when it opens for floor 0

Developer(+1)

behold! layering issues
i hate them

Submitted

i enjoyed the detective work! the waiting in between floors feels a little long thou.  overall i loved the game!

Developer

thanks!

Kinda sad it ended with a blackout, and then nothing happened lol

But this is a great hecking game!! Good job!!!!!! I was on my toes for the entire time; also, the intro was phenomenal

Developer

there was supposed to be an epilogue at the end but it bugged and just showed a black screen.
thanks!

Submitted

ooof wish  I could've seen that epilogue..

Developer

to give you an idea, it would basically just reflect on your choices you made and the state of the world right now.

Submitted

That sounds sick!

Submitted(+1)

Phenomenal vibes and atmosphere! The total silence other than dialogue and the strange sounds an elevator makes made for really effective ambience imo.

However I was a little disappointed when the game ended on just a black screen. Other than that, I thoroughly enjoyed myself.

Developer

if you got out safely there was supposed to be an epilogue but it bugged. a bunch of people reported this and i hope this didnt impact the rating by too much
thanks!

I loved the intro video as the tutorial, made learning how to play way more fun than just a boring wall of text :)

I let in some anomalies and I still don’t know why they were anomalies in the lift with me :<

Good game :)

(the game was very unsettling, which I guess is waht you were after, good job with that :)

Developer

i was certainly chasing the unsettling vibe. thank pilotredsun
thanks!

I understand the choice of the tutorial as an old VHS recording on a training room but the aberration on the letters is a disservice to the player, sometimes UX comes above aesthetics.

As an anomaly game I feel the hinting is very vague, this ain't easy to balance, but think about what will stand out to the player. In this case the questioning feels disconnected and I find myself more on the side of betting on opening the door instead of feeling the risk of my own agency.

Developer

thanks for the feedback!
