Great game! simple to learn and fun! sound is on point!

Developer

Thanks so much!

Amazing game! Really fun gameplay and great execution overall. I think the game could be a little more punishing and demand more perfection with the tempo, because I got 3 stars on all levels in my first try. But it's still super fun and charming :)

Developer(+1)

Difficulty is always hard to nail in a game jam; we've heard it's both too hard and too easy so far 😂 Thank so much for playing and leaving a nice comment!

Submitted(+2)

Hahaha fair enough, I guess skills with rhythm can vary a lot. Great game either way, I wish you the best of luck with it!

I really liked it! Super charming, art is incredible for a jam (and in general), the sound design is also fantastic. Had a lot of fun gameplay wise as well. For this length it's perfect, but if it was any longer would probably need a bit more mechanics for variety.

Developer

Thank you! We definitely discussed varying mechanics, but we didn't have the time to create them as perfectly as we would've liked. That's the nature of jams though lol

Great concept for a rhythm game! There are a lot of content for a jam entry! Great Job. I really enjoyed it.

Developer

Thanks so much; glad to hear you enjoyed it!

I unfortunately crashed shortly after finishing the first level. There was nothing in the browser logs. Otherwise, a brilliant jam entry and worth studying.

Developer

Oh no! So sorry, this is the first I've heard of anything like this. I did include a non-web build if you're on Windows and would like to give that a try, but otherwise, thanks so much for playing!!

I'm not gonna lie, I've played already few games in this jam but this one is my favorite so far, simple and elegant. 5/5 in every category!

Developer

Thanks so much for the kind words; so glad you enjoyed it!!

Developer

I'm thrilled to hear it! Thanks so much for playing!!

Such a wholesome game! The character design is super cute, and the overall visuals are beautiful. Also, big props to the sound design and music!

Developer(+1)

Thanks so much; super appreciate the kind words about the art! And all credit for sound/music to Tyler, who did a fantastic job!

Ah, a perfect break from Rhythm Paradise! :p

This is absolutely the kind of minimalist rhythm game I dig, and it works so well! The mechanic is simple, but has enough depth to keep things interesting, either with the level-design or the changes of tempo. And everything is so cute! The art is gorgeous, the story is fun, the intro cinematic is lovely, and of course the music of course is enjoyable all the way. It’s a really beautiful game you made!

Developer

Thanks so much for the kind words and detailed feedback, Itooh! So glad you enjoyed :)

Developer

I've been playing a ton of Groove, so I'm with you there. Thank you for the kind words, Itooh!!

I am rhythmless, but that's a me problem and not a you problem, you guys knocked it out of the park visually, great job! I love your cover art, color choices, etc!

Developer

Thanks so much! It honestly was unusually challenging for me to settle into an art direction for this game, so I particularly appreciate that feedback!

The atmosphere in Sonnord is amazing and contributes a lot to the success of the game! The graphit sounds just as beautiful! And I think the narration is so great at first!

Thank you so much! :)

This game was amazing, you can tell lots of work has gone into this. Compliments:
- the art was adorable: a very unique aesthetic that you pulled off really nicely in my opinion!
- the premise was simple yet addictive, and the learning curve was small (at least for me): made it very fun to play and I felt like I was actually mastering the game
- the level design seemed very intentional in a good way, colorful flowers placed at the right positions, the obstacles somewhat obstructing your view relying on your rhythm to continue)

Improvements you can make (honestly considering the amount of time you had this was amazing, some of these will be quite nitpicky as well):
- extending the game further (considering that this is a game jam though it makes sense you have five cohesive levels, better than 10 messy ones): perhaps including more time signatures (like 6/8 or 3/4, or some crazy ones as well!)
- being able to skip through dialogue: again not much of a problem though considering there wasn't as much
- more difficulty? It didn't seem to hard for me specifically, but otherwise fun (I got 3 stars on all of them hehehe).

This was a gem! Thanks for sharing!

Developer(+2)

Thanks so much for the kind and detailed feedback! I honestly think there wasn't enough time to add additional levels or mechanics; in an ideal world, we definitely would have added some more mechanical complexity towards the end! And great feedback re: skipping dialogue. Re: difficulty, we tend to skew our games on the easier side since there's a huge range of skill with people who play jam games; if we had more time, maybe adding difficulty levels would have helped! But ultimately we were focused on making a polished and intuitive project over adding a bunch of other features in. Thanks again! :)

Developer(+1)

I really really wanted to have some funky time signatures, but between the jam time length and not knowing how players might respond to odd meters, I decided to keep it all in 4/4. In a previous game of ours, Benedict Beaver the Builder, I had a 6/8 track and a 5/4 track! I'm glad you enjoyed it though! Maybe one day we'll add a 13/6 track to the game lol

this is so amazing and beautiful!! Congrats to the team for making such a cool game !!!!!

Thank you!! :)

Thanks so much!! This jam was such a great time.

Perfect game, man. Really love the art style :)

Developer

Thanks so much :)

Really cute game with an amazing aesthetic and interesting gameplay! Only feedback I really have is that there didn't feel like too much of a difficulty increase across levels. But aside from that, great !

Developer

Thanks so much for the feedback; I would agree with you there! We ultimately decided to focus on making sure the mechanics we had felt intuitive, but if we had more time, I would have loved to see another introduced towards the end. Thank you for the kind words as well!

This is amazing, great work guys. Only improvemnt i'd add was to be able to skip text with space or one of the arrows keys rather than having to go for the mouse.

Developer(+1)

That's a good piece of feedback; thanks so much for playing and leaving this comment!

SO incredibly cute and polished. probably my favourite so far. im a sucker for rhythm games.

Developer

Thanks so much for the kind words! :)

Submitted(+2)

Wow the whole game is so cute and extremely well polished! It's difficult to make a good feeling rythm game but you did really well and the mechanics were very intuitive! Also the variation in text speed at which the characters talk to you makes it have that much more character :)

Developer

I'm so glad to hear this! And all credit to our programmer Patrick for the great character coding, and our audio guy Tyler for the wonderful animalese!

This is really fun, the visuals are incredible for a short game jam! I would have benefit from the initial onboarding (when you have the visible rhythm ring) also showing which key to press (my brain is small and I was confused). One of my favourite games ever is the rhythm game: Patapon and once I got into the flow of Antempo it was giving me throwbacks! <33

Developer

Thanks so much! It honestly was unusually challenging for me to settle on art direction for this game, so I really appreciate the kind words. And that's some helpful feedback, thank you for it!

best game so far, good luck and thanks for your creation :)

Developer

Thanks so much! And a fellow bug fan I see 👀
