Really cool game, I love the concept! Just wanted to report a small bug: when the round is lost and the timer counts down, the camera movement gets glitchy/strange.

So far ive played 3 games called "Down for the Count" and I have loved each one and this one is not the exception. I love the ragdoll physics and such. Good job!

Love ho the game looks and feels. I thought I was gonna bet on myself because I was wearing boxers XD. Incredible work :)

Such a unique take and great implementation! I enjoyed being a shady referee and trying to root for my guy

When the guy you bet on is such a fraud that no amount of slow counting can fix it...

Honestly one of the more creative games in the jam, I do agree with the previous commenter that there could have been a bit more variety between fighters, but it is still a 4 day jam and i get that time was running short, still a great game though congrats!

I think in terms of gameplay the best game I have played from the Jam so far, but the art is a bit boring. Even just having different colored shorts for the fighters would have improved the game a lot

Really nice, could have been a bit quicker in the matches as we're mostly waiting around ^^

Cool concept and lots of polish! Definitely did not run well on browser lol, but it was still fun!

Honestly, really cool game a lot to take on for 4 days,  the idea was really cool, but imo could get repetitive after a while(15-20 minutes but that's still a long time!)

I love it, but in full screen mode controls doesnt work and for the first time (I played like 5 times :D) camera buged in first person view and it was tilted.. so far the best game in jam.

I had the same exact idea lol. But ended up going for smthing different cuz it seemed too complicated for me. Great job making a fun game

Perfect fit for the theme, nice visuals and sound design, addictive gameplay. Unfortunately my game bugged at the beginning of the second day and the fight just didn't start :(

Yea mine did too

Very creative idea for the jam's theme! Seeing the fight from a different perspective was neat, and it was fun to rig a match... or 10  (–⩊–)

Had an amazing time, very original and creative idea! Turns out the best games are the ones involving refs.

Had a blast :)

Really unique take on the theme! I love the idea behind being a ref and the countdown minigame was fun, but I wish there was a bit more to do while they're duking it out besides just jump on their heads

Developer

Thanks for the feedback, appreciate it! As it happens with game jams, we had to cut a lot of corners in the end to make sure the game is published on time, but we’d love to get back to it and expand on the idea!
